  • Awesome Jungleee Music @ 2:02

    1000 stars for this project

  • it's definitly not bass that makes the camera move! it moves from the beginning, and it's not synch with the music...

  • do u use "reverse" shiftregisters for the digital input?

  • *makes another comment on the fact that the camera does something and demands thumbs up...*

  • do it faster xD

  • You can do a Metronome...

  • FL studio 1 :D

  • you're a genius!!!

    very cool project!

  • nice

  • is ja der Hammer!!!

  • good work man! I can't wait till I get my Arduino so I can do cool stuff too.

  • How do you do this, is very cool¡¡¡

  • fo shizzle my nizzle, let me hook dat up to my subs.

HA! Just kidding. Great job! Sounds great!

  • Awesome. :P How long did it take you?

  • The slight shakiness is likely caused by the camera being too close to the speaker.

  • @ImmortalDestructor I don't think so as the 'pulse' of the distortion doesn't match the sound at all. The pulse is perfectly timed and not with any beat from the music. I think it's some kind of signal interference from something.

  • breadboards for the win! this is really nice dude.

  • Grozooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Realy great job man!!! Congratulations for your technical creativity

  • what happens to the camera :S

  • um what?

  • I agree with gaussman something was happening to the camera. Don't you see the image gets like dirty ever 2 seconds or so.

  • hmm yeah i think it could be the codec im using for compression, perhaps? is that possible?

  • yeah it is posible if you did any processing after getting the video from the camera.

  • No, not at all, but I just used quicktime pro to compress the video from the camera (which was a .mov file to begin with).

  • It was probably the compression. I dunno

  • @littlescale I think either the camera or QuickTime was dropping a keyframe or something, it's not a big deal though :P Neat drum machine littlescale :)

    -2xAA

  • @Twistx77 electromagnetic fields by the sound box

  • @littlescale

he means the little distorsion for every drum

  • @littlescale

he means the little distorsion for every drum

  • has like a ''clik'' in the focus

  • i think that the bass produce a resonance and vibration on the optical parts of the camera

  • @gaussman08 littlescale is poisoned! He should heal at the nearest Pokemon Center! ...sorry, I had to.

  • @gaussman08 camera feels that beats :)

  • Good idea to use DIP switches

  • NICE!

  • so childish

  • now this really cool...

  • Interesting project, i've never used arduino before, do you have to use a special IDE to program? Or its just standard C++ code? Im a programmer and im thinking about using arduino to build a custom MIDI controller (very basic), using some libs.

    Do you think is possible?

  • It has similar syntax to C++.

You use the Arduino IDE, which is open source.

  • i think its uses C programing lang

  • You have to use the Arduino IDE. but as for the language, I am not sure if it can take C++. for the most part, I know it uses Java(which I have to learn soon to learn how to make my own Arduino projects).

  • The Arduino uses a version of C and an open source, crossplatform IDE.

  • can't please everyone

  • The point is its fun...

    some people..

  • not only sounds cool, but it looks great too

  • those little knobs are so cute lol

  • wuts the red and white wire pluging into the end of the board.

  • thats the audio output :) the white wire is connected to ground, the red wire is connected to the output of the R2R dac

  • this is one of the most original uses of the arduino i've seen in months; no third party SW, just switches pots and noise, nice one!

  • lol

  • Looks really nice xD I'd like to have one of these.

  • thanks! it's pretty easy to make! um, you can see schematics and code on my blog (see link in video info window).

  • " Each beat is set by the combination of the two switches." I dont get that. Is the second DIP like a 'Accent' then? Or what else?

  • From the link in the movie info: "If the position on the right switch is 0 and the position on the left switch is 0, then nothing is played. If the setup is 1 and 0, then a kick sample is played. If the setup is 0 and 1, then a snare sample is played. If the setup is 1 and 1, then a hi-hat sample is played." This works on a beat-by-beat basis.

  • -]. gosh, you can create ya own console .[-

  • awesome.
