  • love it

  • stravinsky would hate this =s

  • @Violiiiiin Maybe he would, but he was also a great breaker of convention in his earlier years, I'm just changing the conventional sounds used, the score is still the same.

  • Excellent post !

  • yeah pretty farout :0) love this type of music, many happy hours..........in stereo :0)

  • Beautiful!

  • VERY INTERESTING UNIQUE AND SOOOO AWESOME ! BE BLESS ! XXX

  • interesting discovery

  • It is very difficult to "rescore" something this impressive and well-known with very different-sounding instruments, and I'm very impressed with how you treated this. Not over-the-top, but just carefully and thoughtfully reworked. It is an enjoyable listen, and you maintain its serious nature, and do not go overboard with weird-for-the-sake-of-weird synth voicings. Nice work.

    ttfn,

    Eduard

  • @schwansongs I can definately say that it is difficult to rework "The Rite", this was an initial attempt, I will be redoing this again soon, with new techniques I have been working on since this was made. There is a fine balance between making different enough and keeping the score recognisable

  • Not too bad actually!! :D I still prefer the original version but this is pretty good. I like the way you did the bassoon.

  • wow. this sounds so good man. amazing impression =)

  • Very good, it kind of remembers me Wakeman

  • Very cool! Looking forward to hearing the rest. Great synth sounds.

  • your awsome.

  • Good!!!

  • beautiful. cant wait to hear in all analog...kinda curious on why the orig started a riot.

  • @deadlover73 It was so different from what was classed at the time as tradtional ballet music, some loved it, others hated it and it was the shouting match and then near riot in the theater that made it famous. It still sounds modern and fresh and mould breaking almost 100 years on and set up stravinsky as one of the great composers of all time.

  • Nice and complex at the same time :)

  • Very good! Clear and brilliant!

  • Well done. Keep up the excellent work. From my musical experience, the concept takes me immediately to Rick Wakeman & my love of Yes music & Tales From Topographic Oceans. Cheers.

  • REALLY IMPRESSIVE!!

  • This adds a whole new dimension to a classical piece of music.

  • interesting but its the question what ^^stravi^^ would say ! at least I give a 5*:-) cheers

  • @NovaKaren The young Stranvinsky wasquite revolutionary with pieces like the rite of spring, so if he were alive today I don't he would be too shocked by it. I think if he had the technology of today he would have used in a similar unconventional manor as he did with the orchestra.

  • @paulshillitomusic sure...they were revolutionary for that time. I would even suggest he would do much more different things:-) What brings you to my channel if I can ask? It's quite different (don't say you love all kind of music...hehe, that would be like an automatic response^^) Have a nice day, K

  • Hi Paul;this is excellent stuff. It reminds me a lot of Wendy Carlos 'Sonic Seasonings'

and also parts of 'Timesteps'.Proud to be amongst the friends of such an excellent musician.

  • Very good! :)

  • прикольная тележка=)))

  • Fantastic job bro! Just beautiful.

  • Absolute wonderful !!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done Paul. Nice choice of sounds.

  • this is amazing work reminds me of Vangelis

  • @SlaughterClub Thanks, i'm honoured to be mentioned in the same sentance as Vangelis :-)

  • This piece it's simply GORGEOUS! That's what I call "fine music"! Well done man

  • Really enjoy your works. Excellent!

  • Like this track a lot,cool thanks )

  • Wow I love your music :-) and I see you started with the same influences as I did as a young teen :-)

  • @JezebelDecibel Thank you for your comments, you look too young to have the same influences as me :-) but seriously now I have to try and live up to the standards they set, and thats a tall order but I'm getting there, slowly but surely.

  • @paulshillitomusic Thank you for you complment :-) Yes I do look young for my age.

Music has helped with that along with diet and meditation :-)

  • great track loved it

    great sound

  • great track loved it

  • Very interesting version :)

  • what sort of gear do you create this electronic wonderland? Most excellent - - hate to think of the number of hours spent planning, editing, mixing. Bravo.

  • @FlametopFred Most of this track was made with I think Omnishpere, Arturia Moog Modular V, and Arturia minimoog V and didn't take too long to do, probably about a week or so of evenings and a weekend, but yes these can take along time to do. I did up to almost half way through the "Rite of Spring", about 15 mins and that took about 2 months but I scrapped it as it wasn't going right, though I am redoing it again with all hardware synths this time so it should be alot better this time around.

  • 60's BBC Radiophonic Workshop feel about this

    Wish you a Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ good eveningƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

    Warm greetings, Ine

  • great interpretation, love the sounds you use. looking forward to the rest with the new modular synth !

  • @dandeelion70 Thanks, the new system should make for some intersting music :-)

  • nice work! I did a arrangement of the "spring rounds" segment for two keys, electric guitar, bass and drums a few years back and i've thought a long time about doing the whole piece electronically. Its great to see other people are thinking along the same lines. Awesome stuff mate!

  • @cabijista1

Thanks glad you like it, I think it will get redone in line with the rest that I'm doing using my new analogue studio.

  • Very interesting! I really like many parts of this. But if I'd be a critic I'd say the sound of the introductory melody is too overpowering and tight, should be more hollow and mysterious. Another thing is the lack of dynamics (which is a pretty usual difference between classical recording and an electronic production).

  • @lainet Glad you like most of it :-). I agree with the lack of dynamics and this is something I have been working on with the analogue modular that I now have. There are no presets to work from with this like on soft synths, each sound has to be made from scratch but it gives you more control over the sound and things like the lead intro you mention, together with better production techniques the next parts should sound hopefully better which means this part will need to be re-mixed to match

  • PART TWO PART TWO PLEASE!!!

  • Great! The texture of the sounds are excellent. 5* :)

  • excelente!!! mis admiración y gratitud por subir esta música genialmente sintetizada.

  • THATS the way a CS80v must to be played. Very well done.

  • Very well done Paul. This goes in my favorites folder for sure.

  • Hi Paul,this Excellent...5*****

  • Excellent! It's a great choice of piece to do with synthesizers and the different voices fit very well together. Looking forward to the next part.
