It is funny to see a diesel break down in front of steam engines, like in the Rev. W. Awdry's story, Bowled Out! Glad that Deltic's been "delt" with!!! =)
@tonypilot Maybe dude. Who knows? But he'd certainly make a good Tyrannosaurus Rex of the train world. And the fact that he startled the engines when he first appeared could also mean that Deltic also makes a good diesel-powered version of an alligator or crocodile because they hunt by ambush and he snuck on the steam engines quietly.
Proper Job. You definitely have a real talent for this stuff. A real professional job indeed. As an American, I wish our railways were as good as this.
really though? Really? I hate to say but he is right. The time the stories are set some of these characters are not going to make it to preservation. They are going to die and only a few will survive. We all know Hawk will as well as Flying Scotsman or Scot but the others?
I was on the edge of my seat throughout. I feel sorry for poor little Gronk. Deltic was particularly intimidating here. His attitude really did disturb me. Mind you, what I've gotta remember is that he isn't really a "villian"; just an embodied foreshadowing of "what's to come", if that made any sense. Stephen's absence is quite worrying too, although it's probably nothing serious...
This is an absolutely brilliant episode simierski, well done. Deltic really IS an evil diesel, his rudeness to steam engines probably even rival Devious Diesel's rude remarks! XD 5/5
P.S. You wouldn't happen to have the horn that D7101/Bear's class have would you?
Is Deltic friendly or not? In other words, if you had to compare him to an engine from Thomas and Friends, would he be compared to a diesel like Diesel or Mavis?
That is indeed Tavish - I realised while I was filming that Tavish hasn't had a speaking role since Episode 9 - !!! So he'll make a few cameos here and there in #15, and have some lines in the next few.
For an engine that has proved quite popular, I had seemingly inadvertantly dropped him, that was not the case!
Man... that Deltic makes my skin crawl with fear AND rage! I hope poor Gronk clear his name before it's too late.

I love the idea of the evil, faceless diesel. Makes it kind of cold and soulless, doesn't it?

Could Deltic Be Diesel 10's Brother or One of his old Friends?

@tonypilot that is not the point of the series, it is NOT thomas the tank engine, kid.

i saw the pug in the siding, and that gave me an idea for one of your episodes.

Apparently an A1 could run the Elizabethen. Torndado did the race to the north within Elizabethen timings, minus the water stops of course.
jamiegoddard4 2 years ago
Woah, that is one diesel you DO NOT want to meet in a dark siding...

The story is similer to "Super Rescue" from the book Enterprising Engines by the wonderful and sadly missd Rev.W.Awdry.
Funny thing is that Deltics perdiction of the demise of steam is also what will hapen to his class.
Amazing work simiersky. Thank you very much for the seres.

Goodness! Now that i see more of him, I'd say that Deltic the two faced (literally) diesel is the definition of "evil diesel".
Oooooh, and the steam engines are going to give Gronk hell, I'm sure.
I feel bad for Gronk, though. At the time, he was only following orders.

I'd hope you wouldn't compare - this diesel is different. There is not necessarily an evil to him as such, more a strong arrogance.
