But i wonder how do you control the microsynth through your pedal expression, what do i need as equipment to control a micro synth (or anything else) with an expression pedal, just plug into it ?
@Squishy976 I internally modify the pedal to allow an external pedal to manipulate the 'stop frequency' parameter. You'll need a volume pedal w/ a 100k Linear pot, and a pedal modded by me. Or my DIY kit that I sell. Let me know if you are interested.
I have access to a milling drill thing that a great friend of mine is finishing making and well... I'll certainly follow the path you've just opened up! Thanks for sharing all these videos!
My friend, all I can say is that I respect the work you're doing (you're still doing it, right?)! We have the same spirit. Let's bring the Jordan Rudessness to the world of guitars! THIS is the kind of sound I want to have!.But I really wish to send my guitar to be modded by you someday. Too bad it's a little out of my grasp for now, since I live in Brazil and just the shipping would leave me bakrupt. lol
that sounds awesome man really good job i'm just getting into the realm of pedal mods and making my own im planning on makin a feedback looper should be sweet anyhoo really kickass job sweet as a nut
You really don't need a degree for this. I have one, but you can learn MUCH of what I have learned, for free on the internet. You have have to like to learn, and know where to look.
Are you asking me if the Ernie Ball Volume Pedal will work as an expression pedal for other pedals? If so, yes, it will. You may have to change the pot to suit the circuit.
Thanx Man!!! I just came across a new sick sound. Not a new mod, but a new sonic texture. I will put a video up soon hopefully. I have the Sub Octave fader all the way up with the F.A. Mod engaged. From there it goes into my Furman PQ-4 then a noise gate, then an RG-100, then another PQ-4. It sounds like a wicked 'burp fart' type sound. It's actually pretty heavy sounding.
Nice demo man. I'm interested in getting more info on what mods you made on your EB Vol Pedal. I'm trying to use my EB 6166 Vol Pedal as an expression pedal for my modulation pedal (line6 MM4). I'd like to find out if I need to make any modifications to pots or type of 1/4 jacks to use. Did you swap out pots on yours? Any tips would be great. Thanks.

Are you referring to my CNC mill? If so, that has nothing to do with this mod.

Extremely cool mod especially with that pedal! But do you know if this pedal works as an expression pedal for other guitar effect pedals?

ALL XO series pedals use SMT components

Thanx!!! I thought so, smaller, cheaper, crappier. That is the direction almost all companies are taking. Sad, but True!!! shotgunn

Hey man, sounds great. Can you do the mod on new(small) guitar micro synth?
AnarSeville 2 years ago
If it is not SMT components, then yes, I most likely can modify it. I am unsure of the component type in the new XO type synths.
Can you email me a pic of the inside. I have to be able to see the components.
