Ahh, the 80's. I was 8 in 1986 and remember most of these shows. I loved Alf especially. However, it does not age well. Recently, I got a copy of season 1 and watched it, realizing sadly that I really don't like it anymore. Its funny, my parents were only about 5 years older then what I am now and I remember as a kid thinking how weird they were that they didn't like the show. Now I know why.
@25phillycheesesteak You Again?, Gimme A Break, ALF, and L.A. Law aired on NBC. Designing Women, Better Days, Newhart aired on CBS and Together We Stand probably aired on ABC.
Designing Women was the show R.I.P.Dixie Carter, and i always had a crush on Delta Burke,In Better Days at the ending the drawing of NYC and the World Trade Center R.I.P.to the fallen towers, Gimme A Break was the show R.I.P.Nell Carter, and You Again?you see a very young John Stamos b4 Full House!!!!!!!!!!!
@ColorsBright and isnt it funny how these tv sit coms were actually closer to "real life" than any of the reality tv shows of today? I loved watching Mama's Family.
My mom LOVED Newhart and Designing Women when I was young. I must have heard the intro to those shows a million times...only needed to hear like 3 notes and I knew all the rest LOL
Family Matters premiered in 1989. We were talking about all the shows in general that Jesse Frederick scored..the topic was irregardless of this 1986 video.
Anne Schedeen from ALF played Jack Tripper's girlfriend for a few episodes in the earlier seasons of Three's Company (i.e. the episode where Chrissy had a wart and Roper thought she was pregnant)
@jeprice08 that's b/c of the crazy U.S. syndication job. What's more is that the scene where the mom gives ALF the stern look after slapping his hand for trying to steal from the fridge was also cut from the U.S. syndie intros as well.

I liked Alf, but the family was bland and pathetic. They need to modernize and bring it back, with family that's genuinely funny.

What's weird about Together We Stand was in the span of one year, it...
Was pulled off during the fall from low ratings.
Returned in February '87.
Had a new title (Nothing Is Easy)
Elliot Gould's character was killed off
The show was cancelled in April '87.
Quite a lot of foo flaw for such a short time.

I remember the very night ALF debuted! It was back in the fall of 86, and our 2-yr-old VCR recorded it back then!

Wow I hated John Stamos when I was a teen-ager. I thought he was eye candy and a bad actor. But I didn't remember feeling that until now.
