Can anyone please explain to me what Yeomen are/were like I was retarded? Are they farmes with slaves or without slaves (aroud the US civil war era context)?

First off, the Yeoman are English. Nothing to do with the American Civil War. Secondly, we represent them during the Tudor Dynasty (1485-1603), although they are England's Royal Guard to this day. 3rd, the Yeoman were free men that had excellent service records and were hand-picked for duty. These were not nobles or wealthy men that bought titles. Clear up your questions? If not, feel free to ask more! =0)

I'd actually be worried about some of these guys losing an eye or a finger, except they swing swords like old women. Still, I think one did take an eye shot at a Neb. faire this Spring.

Do you really want to have this discussion again? About how there are different forms of fighting and how some people just need to accept that we do it differently than others? How what we ALL do is nothing more than well-researched LARP?

I sincerely hope you don't speak to your audience the way you speak to your peers. Can't imagine your show would last long if you did.

Remember dear, this fellow 'invented' live steel combat, so I doubt there's anything we can say to him that his brain would process into any sort of reason.

After watching their video's it's obvious that we are two very different groups with different objectives. While we strive for style and form, they are obviously perfecting the armored WWF style.
