I don't know if you all remember but actually Volkner could win this match. After Team Rocket caused of the power cut Volkner did not let his Luxray to attack when Ash's infernape was just rolling on the ground... He just waited to understand what happened and thought Ash's infernape just fainted... but later Infernape went blaze and kicked Luxray's ass...

@XENON3120 yeah Turtwig was a star until chimcar joined ash... I don't know why the writers made Torterra as big loser... that was shame... he looks so badass but always lost so cheap... one ice punch and he is fainted omg... same thing happened in semi finals... where Infernape fought like beast... even Torterra reached last stage in evolution it is big shame he always sucked :( lol he had no achievements, no single victory :( when he uses rock climb he always get ass kicked...
