@Saigax12 well lets start with the obvious... WAY TOO MANY complicated features and safety's, then the not so obvious...it weighs as much as a MACK truck.

@BuffaloTPU In fairness to you, the safety does fail from time to time (although truth be told, I've never fired a spas 12).

Features......being a pump and semi auto brings a lot of possibilities to the table. I was told it was to cycle high brass in semi config, and non-lethal rounds in pump. also, the more features, the heavier it tends to be. Take it from a guy that carries with 30 shells in the magazine.

If it was as useful as your mossy, Id guess we'd see more around.

Actually you can legally purchase an automatic weapon, thompsons for example are purchasable as automatic weapons. The restrictions are that the weapon has to be registered as class 3 and have been made before 1984.

It's also quite expensive, but it's legal, along with suppressors. Check out the wikipedia article for the "National Firearms Act"
