  • ich liebe das viedeo und js sowieso

  • ich find das lied irgendwie soo toll x3

  • @ SuperSchokiFan at 1:15 its pirates of the caribbean at worlds end

  • Earl eye in the morning..

  • LOL, I always sing this and I had no idea that it was a real song until I actually googled it. XD

  • @aramilalpha what should we do with a drunken aramilalpha :D:D

  • Love it! One thing, though. At the "put him into bed with the Captain's daughter" you show images of Elizabeth (presumably the Captain's daughter). In the song, though, "Captain's daughter" actually refers to the cat o' nine tails, a whip with lots of strands of leather that really tear up a back. The song verse, then, isn't about bedding up the drunk with a girl, it's about whipping him.

    Sorry for that xD

  • this is my school song ..used to sing in my music class ..and i love and missed it so much..that was 50 years ago

  • from wich fim is the scene at 1:15 ?

  • Oh...I love this song since I heard it in a English lesson years ago. And the pirates of the carribean are also great

  • I love Pirates of the caribbean ;)

and so i like this video . It´s great!!!

  • @:novalee66: i would like walk the plank for him, too...*greatsmile*

  • What does mean: "and up she rises" (who rises)? P.S.I love this song and Jack Sparrow is awesome. And also great is the story of British Sailing.

  • @MrMariusz1967

They are talking about the ship as it goes up and down with the tide/waves

  • @MrMariusz1967 I'm prolly wrong, but "up she rises" might refer to hauling up an anchor or somesuch thing. Shanties like this were often sung as sailors did grueling work, so verses might deal with what exactly they were doing.

  • What shall we do with the drunken SPARROW, what shall we do..*Arrr,Arrr*

  • @Gruftschnecke0809 I know what I'd like to do with Sparrow, hehe. I'd walk the plank for him.

  • YAAAARRR!

  • At the end of the clip The crabs are helping!!! lolz

  • way hey and up she rises :) heh this song is old than my grandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandgrandfother :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D.... but is very good :)

  • @moriconechimai your family must have short lifespans if youve racked up that many grands since the 1800s

  • @Morotstomten actually they would only have to be about 24-25 each when they had kids :P and it was about the 1750s really lol

  • I recently went on a cruise and someone said to me, what woulod you do if pirates came onto the ship, my answer was simple. If they look like Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow then Bring it on, let them come LOL

  • wtf they would put me in the bed with the captians daughter.......id be scared shitless when i wake up

  • lmao think thats the point!!!

  • that the point of the prank

  • early in the morning^^

  • shave your belly with a rusty razor? sounds abit strange, dos it meen anything thene the ovius?

  • well shave his belly with a rusty razor maybe?

  • yeha, sounds abit weird, i askt if it meent anything ells, like swiming withe the fish meens that he drovnd or something

  • I think its because sailors prided themselves with hairy chests

  • might be xD

  • But I do bet if they'd put him in bed with the real captain's daughter that sailor would be waking up pretty happy ^^

  • tha he be jumping in the sea trying to escape

  • the line "put him into bed with the captains daughter" refers to flogg him with the ninetailed cat

  • Haha cool

  • Can you imagine if they meant a REAL captains daughter (messing with a mans daughter= bad idea...mssing with a PIRATE's daughter=suicide)

  • requestin song title

  • is it an irish song????

  • yes, the tune is very old irish song called "Oró Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile, the lyrics were writtin in the late 1980s's.

  • The lyrics were first published in 1891 under the title "What to do with a Drunken Sailor?".

  • doesnt sound like it Oró Sé bheatha BHAILE

  • WRONG!!! The tune comes from this song, true, but the lyrics? NO!!! Oro Se do Bheatha Bhaile is about the Jacobite Uprisings.

  • I didnt mean the lyrics, obviously they are not the same lol. Cheers.
