so what's better; Revit, 3dMax, or Autocad 3d? I personally only know and use Autocad 3d But I gotta say, it's a pain in the ass sometimes so what's better? whats best?? Please Answer thank you!
So I would have to say it depends on what is being modeled. For building elements; the Revit family of products is deffinitely better, no question. If it's elements that are going to be used in buildings; such as furniture, and their end use is to be with Revit then again Revit is the best; especially if those elements are to be parametric. 3DS Max is great for rendering but rather clunky for modeling (in my opinion). I use Max for Render Farm and walk through capabilites.
@Render thank you so much for your answer. I'm really loving Revit now that I'm learning to use it. I work for a general contractor as a Draftsman and I now have an assignment where I need to draw a huge 3D space and create a video walkthrough presentation. I'm affraid my computer wont be capable of doing a 2 to 3 minute rendered walkthrough presentation. I just learned about Artlantis, should I use Artlantis or buy a new computer with 8 processors and latest video graphics card and use Revit?
@HenrydeBeli Best for integrated software is Bentley Microstation or Architecture, awesome integrated rendering capability Modo , no need to export-import etc. Full parametric modeling and 2D drawing views from 3D model. Bliss.

@faizdodcom Export to 3D Max, then use the Render you prefer (i use V-Ray)
