Samsung N145 Video Demonstration

I got this very cheap just this week, i threw windows out and installed Ubuntu 11.10, works much better than windows on a slow computer like this. Ubuntu can play youtube 360p without problem, windows cant. Didnt research the windows drivers for the graphics before i formated windows but drivers might fix it, bad of samsung not to include good drivers. Minecraft in linux starts but is a little to slow to have fun experience.

Buy this only if you get it cheap, there are faster netbooks outthere.

@burnsnu I got this because its small and light to take with you. And dont expect to do other than surf the web and chat with it. And very good battery life is the main reason! (Have got 5h of heavy use out of the first charge) I have also upgraded to 2gb memory and recomend everyone to do the same, its cheap and you dont need to buy it from samsung just get it at a lokal dealer.

i need help!

I got this netbook for 2 days ago and i like it. but i have one problems

when i see youtube video on this netbook it begins to lag, and when i play online games i have the same problem. i tryed all kind of online games and every game lags. i tryed to set youtube video to 240p and then it dosen`t lag so much, but my cousine have the same netbook ass me and he can play online games and see youtube vidoes which out any lag, and run some other games with low preformence like minecraft.

thanks for the demonstration

but i have 2 questions:

- when you play games, does it get hot after some time? (my old laptops died because they got too hot, and its nice if you can use it as a LAPtop for once in a while by placing it on your lap without burning your legs)

- if it does get hot with a game (which use a lot of the computers capacity), does it at least stay cool when you stay at simple programs that uses not much (like working with excel all day, which is my intention anyway)?

Hi my friend, I was wondering how much I ram i can add to this netbook, I bought it today. Do I need DDR3 or DDR2? I know the system has DDr2 installed but i read somewhere I needed DDR3 but I thought that couldnt be right.

Basically I'm just asking will it support an additional 2gb or 1gb stick? And will it need to be DDR3 or DDR2?

@19babytai4u86 Any netbook running Windows will allow you to play games on it, however if you have a game that the computer cant handle, then it wont run well at all.

@supercokey I bought it yesterday and it comes with a ton of shit programs pre-installed that slow it down. Battery is okay.. nothing special and it's a good buy, but not worth the money at all.

Good demo. It also has 3 x USB ports which are very useful for memory sticks, external hard drives, external DVD drives, etc. The keyboard is good and the overall shape is neater and more rounded than the blocky, angular shape of other netbooks.

@UtubeNI It has to do with the refresh rate with the camera thats shooting the video. It makes computer/tv screens look like their flashing.
