    Good god. Actually go to Ireland, they'll shoot you for that opinion, right after they make fun of a Cork accent.

    And the Irish would not "shoot" me for that. My girlfriend is from Tipperary and her cousin lives in Cork, and i told them that they had a similar accent to newfoundland.

    I live in England and look at how many accents there are here.

  • newfoundland only joined canada in 1949 and most of us dissendid from ireland thats y we have acsents like that

  • If you have two lighters you could have two chemicals.for instance nitro & glycerin would be a famous example

  • Yeah many Irishmen settled in Newfoundland, and because of its years of isolation they developed their own way of speaking. I love the Newfoundlanders, very friendly people!
