  • Gotta say the pianist doesn't look sinister enough. Maybe a hooded cape would do him well.

  • well played, but it sounds shit i apologize and i ve got anything against organs but one cannot play rachmaninov on an organ, its like if u put pancakes and some tea in a blender and then serve it for dinner

  • Hear les baxters version on Moog, its genuinely masterful as well.

  • Brilliant dude this rocks, so much darker.. Fantastic

  • This rocks dude, so dark. Brilliant!

  • uuhh

u need to exercise this piece really more

the orgiginal piece for piano is much heavier

and u should normally play the part with the triplet more that double as fast as u did !

  • wow scary

  • It's not as "percussive" as the piano. The piano replicates the bell by a mallet striking the string. Kind of like how you strike a bell.

An Organ, no matter how hard you hit, cannot replicate mallets hitting a string because it uses air. And because Rachmaninoff wrote a ton of notes on the piano, the percussion allows for all voices to come out. When you're using the organ, it blends and blurs in all the sounds.

Rachmaninoff was strict on clarity, just hear his recording. This doesn't work.

  • @IVlr3vil But one can build an organ that WILL strike strings just as they can use air to operate hammers to strike bells they can use air to operate hammers to whack strings.

  • You do realize how pointless that would be right?

I have nothing against organs playing piano music. I'm just saying he needs to "arrange" it so that it works. Playing all the notes as Rach wrote it is too blurry and ruins the "color" that made the original had.

  • The voice you used on the last two chords was awesome! I would have used that more... I wish I had an organ!

  • this is called the bells of moscow i think or not?

  • Sounds really cool but the bass pedlas making it too disonant

  • Oh, come on...! Transcpriptions have always been done, between any instruments. My organ teacher had transcribed Grieg's "In the hall of the mountain King" for organ and recorded it on a HUGE Klais organ in Reykjavik, Iceland. THAT totally rocks!

  • this sounds terrible on organ

  • @forrestisaparty If you think it sound terrible on an organ, maybe someone should play it using bagpipes?

  • I love this piece, where did you get the transcription, I would love to get a copy.

    Thanks for your playing

  • well done

  • proper well good mate!

  • Its sounds nice but The progression of the 2nd part is all Messed up, the tempo is lost through the last part. How should we be Playing the bells of Moscow? He should express more emotion and make it more colorful. Take pride in playing a Russian composition.

  • none the less good lookin there kid

  • bach or handel sound superb on the organ...handel especially.

did u know that handel was playing the organ at 6 years ol

  • did you know that i was playing piano at 6?!

did you know that mozart was playing piano at 3?

    obviously not.

  • whatever geekazoid

  • This piece does NOT work on the organ. Trust me. There are lots of incredible organ pieces that do.

  • I disagree. I think the piece does work quite well on the organ and I liked it a lot. I do agree that there is a lot of great organ music out there, but I am also an avid transcription player and they too can be loads of fun and are often great crowd pleasers. In any event, great work! Keep it up!

  • I totally agree with you- wehtam721- There should not limitation of playing music of other instruments as well as organ literature. If we treat the organ just like any other instruments then there should not be any isolation. "The king of instruments" is also an instrument. Thanks for watching my videos and I also like your style of playing the organ as well.

  • @pianorgano I was with one of the great organists of Dc some decades ao as he was playing around at the organ of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and i suggested this piece. He started out with the pedal 32s and manual 16s silenced for the 1st 2 notes (A, G#), but added them all in the C#! This organ has very strong pedal 32s, including a Trombone that sounds like the Queen Mary coming in to dock! Unfortunately, they were dialed back in the recent rebuild. What a shame that is!

  • Great playing! I have enjoyed your other videos. keep to organ literature on the organ! You will have a promising career. Have a great day.

  • Incredible... he has only 13 years! sensational also the others his video (excuse me for my english)
