To think that these instruments stood at 10 minutes from my house in Koksijde (Belgium). They were moved to Bruges, then to Switserland, and then to Japan. I'd like to see the collection at least once in my life!
Wow, great to see those instruments back. I was a little boy when most of these instruments were part of a huge collection of mechanical musical instruments all brought together in a museum in the beautiful city center of Brugge, Belgium. I think it was in 1987 or 1988 when I visited that collection in Brugge as a young boy with my parents. Are there any recordings available of pieces from the current collection? What I can remember is that the Pierre Verbeeck organ has an impressive sound!
