  • I hope he had a non-volatile memory...

  • Hey JJ how come you still can't explain why the robot trying to steal the battery is the bad guy?

  • Cool animation...Reminds me of mine. Check out dueling batteries on my channel...

  • how u make this

  • I used Maya 6, soundtrack pro, photoshop, and After Effects.

  • thx

  • aww so sad... nicely done short! great animation and story concept! keep it up!

  • Thanks!

  • Ah man, that was sad. Both are great in their own ways though. :)

  • Thanks!

  • Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Why!!!

    Cool Video

  • Thanks!

  • cool vid!!

    keep up the good work!

    i really respect this video!

  • hey thanks!

  • you are awesome, these vids are really cool. keep it up

  • Thanks!

  • How did you do the eyes?

  • They were just geometry with a blue-ish glowing texture on them. The eyelids were Nurbs spheres. I squashed them, parented them to the head joint, and animated the start and end sweep in the attributes to get the blinking.

  • i like the other ending better, this one is too sad. the good guy has to win at the end.

  • Hey thats cool that you feel that way. I am happy that you liked either of them! Thanks for the comment.

  • Nicely done. Did you make it with Cinema 4D? Love the lighting and metallic textures. Also, lovely character animation. Did it take long to get the "flamingo" walk cycle going? I tried to do something of thats sort once, but it failed miserably.

  • all done within Maya as far as the 3D goes. The flamingo walking style didnt take too long, once you figure out the nuances of the character. Although it was very different than I originally intended. I wanted a kind of sparrow hopping animation with it. But it was my first real project, and also the first with bones so I didnt get to do all I wanted to.

  • awsome video i like this ending. it makes the short seem more completed

  • Thank you!

  • bmd!

  • Sorry mate - this is way too slow - gace up at 1.00 - so I'll maybe come back - maybe...

  • I prefer this ending. It has much more integrity.

    Great work.

  • Hey Thanks!

  • Great work! Although I prefer the first ending...

  • i think the original ending is better. Usually main characters that die at the end of a film die by there own hands. He over came the bad guy for nothing. i think it actually feels more incomplete. but that's my opinion.

  • fantastic!

  • THANKS!!!!! I appreciate the comment!

  • YES!!! MY EVIL PLAN Worked!!!! MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thanks for commenting!! I know it is pretty sad....

  • looks great.

my one and only gripe is that it ends very fast when after he..(you know).. I know you want to keep it under 5 minutes, but a few seconds of tear-jerker music and a slow pull back could do wonders for this.

A Suggestion - speed up the opening credits a bit to make room for the more melodramtic ending that I suggested. Obviously, this is your baby, so don't do anything unless you want to. For all intesive purposes, I probably have no idea what I am talking about :P

  • aw.. that was a little glass half empty... :)

  • yeah, but i think it is more complete like this. Dont u?
