Hi everyone, I have created a group on facebook but I have a problem... some people posts stuff that I don't want them to be posting, promoting things that doesn't have to do with the group or are in direct competition with the events I post on my group. There is any option to allow just people's comments and nothing else on my group wall?
Why can't you remove posts from groups you were added to so they're not see on my minifeed and the feeds of others that are not in the group to begin with??!!!
i updated my facebook group from old to new...im having a problem, i added videos and photos to it when it was old, now i can see the photos but not the videos, where can i find those vidoes that were added to the group ?? help plzz !

Group chat is great, but PLEASE bring back discussion tabs and make it so whenever I change my description of a group, it doesn't show the whole thing. I update my description daily and it's multiple paragraphs long.

One simple function is annoying me. When you post a comment on a post or photo. There is no share button. When you hit return/enter it doesn't create a new paragraph. It just enters your message. I know it is a small thing but how could something like that get overlooked?

My friends & I in our group were commenting back and forth on the group wall, when all of a sudden it requested a "Captcha" code, saying we were being abusive and annoying. why is it doing that? Now, I am blocked from commenting anywhere on fb. Please fix this problem. You guys change so many things, but still mess up with glitches. Its not cool when I have to wait a couple days to comment, wondering when I can. What if I try to comment, trying to see if it works, and fb disables my account?

@JeromeDude24 On the left side of the group page, click "Edit Members". The page you go to shows the members (among other things). Beside each person's name is a button that says "Make Admin". Just click that and it's done.

@FoodCubes - I was until last night. That's when the "Create Group" button this video shows magically appeared on the left side of my FB page. Up until then, with the group I created, I had to send invitations to people I wanted in the group. I should have known better - FB never responds to people's concerns that rapidly! Anyway when I clicked the new button, sure enough it was just like in the video - I could add whoever I wanted (if had actually created a new group).

Are the pics I share with this closed group saved in my photo albums? Why doesn't my new closed group appear in the dropdown menu of options who to share pics with? You can only share with specific people and not specific groups. Please help.
Looks like Facebook has taken care of one of these issues. Now you have to invite people to join the group instead of just adding them. That's definitely a good thing. It still does post to your news feed though. I agree that's not necessarily good. Especially if the purpose of creating a group is to narrow the audience of the information. I can't tell though if the news feed post is only visible to members of the group. Hopefully that's the case.
@BCM1028 Are you sure about that? A coworker/friend just added me to a work group for facebook. Now my work life is combined with my personal life, and people from work can see my profile. Very bad, facebook.
The only problems I have with it is that it shows up in the news feed and that people don't have a choice if they want to be part of a group or not. If facebook changes these two things then I will actually use this on a regular basis.
I find it weird that groups are a public thing. I don't want people to know that I've divided them up. I simply want to control who gets my publications. Lists is not a viable solution either, it's too simplistic (only 20 people per list?).
It's pretty basic, I don't want my mom reading about my Friday nights, and I don't want my hookers reading about Sunday dinner with mom... And I don't want people to know how I group them. I want control of my message.
The massive problem with Facebook groups is that it doesn't require the consent of others to get them to join. If somebody adds me to a group, I'm not asked if I want to join.
For example, I could create a group and add all of my friends. They would remain part of that group until they got on FB and opted out. How stupid is that?! What the hell would my friends think if they saw me in a group called "Gay Legion" or "Al Qaeda Rules"? Please, Facebook, make this an opt-in feature, not opt-out.
I don't want my friends to know every single time that I "Like" something, it's annoying! I'd like to be able to support something I enjoy, while keeping it private from my friends!
@eaturcrap - after you "like" something, go to your Profile page and Remove what you "Liked". It basically defaults to showing that you Liked something until you remove it. As for what you share or don't share, you have Privacy options for that (go to "See my interests and other Pages" - and set to no one or only certain people).

EPIC FAIL TO THE TENTH POWER, FACEBOOK!
This new format does not allow for the following:
1: Descriptions of the group (it's like not having a splash page)
2: Deletion of the changes an admin makes to the group (it posts them)
This haphazard, messy, and incomplete version of "facebook groups" could be more adequately described as "facebook poops"
GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE. WE EXPECT MORE FROM FACEBOOK.
