If you knew anything about engines and the airflow design and cfm differences of the bbc head vs sbc head. You would understand how other than volumetric efficiency the bbc outperforms the sbc. My last project consisted of a 802hp 496ci BBC with dart heads.....all N/A......what was your last project? a mx6 swap? ........glad i build motors for a living......

@KingAnather i know I am replying to old posts but I don't care. King look up Turbo K cars here on youtube. Those little 2.0 2.2 and 2.5's are some mean little S.O.B.S. And also keep in mind 90% of the 350's on the road make less than 200 HP, and most 454's make less than 320HP. I'm a Chevy guy hands down, but it sends a chill down my spine when everyone with a V8 thinks they have more power than they actually do. As for the 572 you mentioned at an 18,000 buy in, 2.0 + 18,000 = Big Block Killer

why would you trade a 350 for a big block dunn98632 a 350 has a better rpm range and a better power output than the big block the 454's were considered a granny motor back in the day yea its big but its not as good for potential as a 350 you should just keep your 350 and build it up youll eat your bros 454.......

The big block will put more hp/tq down than a 350 any day due to its displacement increase. Furthermore, the big block heads out flow even the best factory double hump 216 head casting for sbc. You bring your 350 mazdamx......ill bring my 454. Oh dont forget the chevelle SS 454 car

i had a 1981 chevy dually with a 454 and glasspacks too, but it also helped that it was a 3 speed lol (not a true, because it did have granny) and just starting it up pissed people off a mile away lol
My trucks got the sm465 also lol.....the 3 spd with granny gear. The 2.5" piping really quiets the truck down to much for me.....but she still does "talk" lol. Iv had neighboors screaming at me and i cant here them....ill shut truck off then go inside only to have cops there soon after haha. Id love to get dually though :P

my dad just gave me his old truck (van)
its a 1976 chevy van w/ a:
454 Big block
trubo 400 tranny
dana 410 and dana 411
ect.
but im 13 but were fixing it up. its been sitting for 7 years.
it can fit 44's
but man is it hard to fit a big block in a chevy van!
