  • You can actually see you self juggling, while explaining the trick? how the hell!! thats awesome, I at least require a mirror to see myself juggling

  • Great video, Chris. Thanks! Those tips will help me.

  • The one problem I have is catching 2 clubs in one hand from anything over a single spin throw - have you covered this in any of your vids? If not can you take on another request? Thanks :)

  • That is an AWESOME video

  • I finally understand why the clubs keep hitting my forearms. Thank you so much for the tutorial!!

  • good tutorial friend!,i mastered the patterns after watch your tutorial for 4clubs ,have a great day always.Best regard from Indonesia

  • Great video ! well explained it seems you took time and dedication to do it ! thanks a lot !

    Greetings from Perú !

  • thanks great tutorial can u juggle 5 clubs

  • this tutorial is awesome! covers all the basics, and the details that add up to being able to juggle 4 clubs! This is one of those tricks I have just started to work on, and I thought that It would be a ton easier than it actually is... But this definitely helped me get some of the details in my head!

    Thanks Chris!

    Josh

  • thanks very helpful chris

  • I really like your tutorial. VERY helpful!

Jason Garfield's "Theory and Practice of Juggling, 2008 Edition" goes over four club juggling too. He talks about the angle change from three club throws to four club throws a bit more than you and I found this really insightful as it explained why my club handles kept hitting me in my forearm.

  • thanks for the tutorial man, really helpfull

  • good tutorial, Chris. thanks!

  • Tried this today properly for the first time in months and i could just do it, got about 38 catches.

  • Thanks taibbi! I reached 124 catches with a nice 4 club fountain! ;) Thank you for this tutorial.. very well done

  • my biggest problem with juggling 4 clubs is releasing the first one in my left hand in the flash. i can do the first one in my right hand just fine and 2 in one hand with both hands

  • ya thats my problem to. but also if i am doing 2 in one hand in my left hand, and i start it good. then i usualy start to rotate clockwise towards my right side.

  • what are those clubs called an where do you get them?

  • Renegades 85mm-- at Renegrade juggling. You can find it on Google.

  • Please help, when I try doing a 3 club flash, or 2 clubs in one hand with one club in the other, in a fountain pattern, One or 2 of the clubs always end up doing 1 and a half spins although I'm very good at double spins in a 3 ball cascade or just 2 clubs in one hand, its weird...:S help

  • yeah the circus goes stright into my face,

  • Hiya, your video is great i was just wondering if its possible to do the four ball fountain without double spins so just single spins write back plz thanks x

  • well wadda you know! im a circus grip, tends to spin into your face when your learning it though, or maybe im just a retard!

  • Just a quick comment to say thank you for putting the time and effort into these tutorials, they are a great help and have improved my club skills immensely.

  • Thank you very much. That means a lot.

  • No problem, I still cant do back crosses though,

And trying to get into good Juggling clubs her in Bristol (UK) is proving a task and a half.

  • Hello Chris,

I started working on 4 clubs about 2 weeks ago (with new px3 deco clubs hehehe:D), and I have a few questions.

    1. What should I use for the transition between "4", and (4,4), a slow double spin , or a fast triple?

    2. And also the same question, but for the 5 in the 53 pattern.

    thx for your help.

    R0mai

  • You can use both, a double or triple, but I would recommend in both cases a triple if you are juggling 4 club fountain. Hope it helps.

  • WHY, double throws? i use 1 spin..

  • for most people single spins are harder, but it can depend on your club.

  • allright, i use px3 traning clubs..

  • well, I don't know, practice whatever feels good, in juggling you have the opportunity to do whatever you want.

    hf

  • this is a great tutorial; im on my way to four clubs. thanks alot

  • Sure! Glad it helps. Post a vid of your progress. I'd love to see it!

  • Your tutorials are awesome.

  • Thanks. I really appreciate it.

  • i always practice outside with clubs. theres no ceiling or walls, and you dont have to worry about denting the floors. plus i sometimes use these wooden clubs that wouldnt be nice to the floor. the only problem is the wind but thats not too bad

  • Your juggling tutorial are best

  • Hi, you've got some nice tutorials here. Four clubs is a goal that I think I'm setting for myself this summer. I think it will be lots of fun since I have never juggled that much with clubs..

But there's one thing in the tutorial that I'm not too sure of. You advise people to catch the clubs little higher than they are throw. I think it will be much smoother if the clubs are caught the same height that they are thrown. I think that is rule of thumb in all toss juggling..

  • I think that depends on what you are doing-- at least for me. I find, for example, that I tend to do better if I catch AND release low for 5 clubs but not so much for 4 clubs. Bottom line: I only offer up what seems good for me. It's entirely possible others may find another concept that works best. Sounds like you have and that's fine too.

  • a very good tutorial....

    very clear...

  • Excellent. This is the kind of feedback I need to hear.

  • Folks, I have no idea what to say about this mampiciPB1 dude. Sheesh.

  • people leave pls coment on my juggling videos and too on chris videos

  • perfect, perfect! thank you again!!!

  • people leave pls coment on my jugglig videos and tooo on chris videos

  • people leave pls coment on my jugglig videos and tooo on chris videos

  • greatv video

  • good cool juggler

  • Bravo! I tried and loved your approach. There are SO MANY advantages. 1) Many more starts/duration. 2) Learning to catch them all versus picking them up from the ground. 3) A better sense of accomplishment and keeping better track of progess. I am abandoning my method of throwing 8 to 16 with total loss of all clubs. THANKS !!

  • YEs! I am very glad to get this kind of feedback! I really like the method myself. And it IS better on props.

  • Hey thanks. Can u do 4 clubs fountain tutorial vid with singles? That i really need. Doubles is easy. And maybe some 4 club siteswap tutorials?

How long you have been juggling?

And second time thanks about this vid. It'll help me.

  • Yes, you can although I think the singles is harder--which is why I suggested learning with doubles.

  • Cool Tutorial. I have not practiced clubs very often, but it seems to me that 4 club singles can be easier than doubles. When I practice doubles I try to start with singles and then go into doubles. I think everyone should try the fountain in both ways to see witch way fits best for him.

4 clubs seem strangely hard to me. I can do 6 balls for over 100 catches regularly but 4 clubs? Maybe 50 sometimes with no good feeling and pain in the wrists. I think I will need more practice...

  • good video!!!!!!

i was starting to learn 4 clubs and i really needed a video and you responded all my questions!!!!!!!!

  • good

  • extra cool suepr video

  • nice cool juggler

  • thanks a lot for this tutorial!!!!

  • hey ctjuggles ! :D i love your tutorial & i learn quite a few tricks from your video. (: can i have a request ? tutorial on 3 balls - snakes ? (: thanks ! :D

  • Sure, I'll put it in line. What is snakes? Is there a place I can watch it?

  • I'm learning 5 balls juggling now. I watch a some of other tutorial, they say you must handle well in 3 balls juggling trick - snakes first. haha

  • maybe you can go to knsmr's channel & watch his tutorial " 5 ball cascade practice methods " one of his tricks is called "chase" which i call it "snakes". (:

  • Oh, yes, I know it! Thanks.

  • yea, do uu mind make a tutorial on that trick ? thanks (:

  • maybe you can go to knsmr's channel & watch his tutorial " 5 ball cascade practice methods " one of his tricks is called "chase" which i call it "snakes". (:

  • Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm at the point where I can start working on four clubs (like others, I only have three at the moment), and you show how to start practicing with only three clubs. Your tutorials actually make me feel like we are having a conversation, but of course, you're the only one doing the talking! You are a great teacher! :)

  • Oooh! Your clubs are so sparkly ans shiny. (I can't wait to get mine. My clubs will be purple, green, and blue.) Everytime I watch your videos I become enthusiastic about juggling. Thank you for providing such quality resource videos.

  • i am like your juggling and thank you for nice coments on my juggling video

  • i love you chris :D thats one i needed as well :)

  • Do you get a little honor for, like, ever video you post?? i actually prefer single spins for 4, and I've got 4 clubs down decently solid. (120 catches) if you haven't already, maybe you could do a little club tutorial on 534? i can't seem seem to get ot down past six catches.

  • you are my favorite juggler

  • Thank you very much Chris, it helped!

I look forward to seeing your other new videos.

  • I'm glad it was helpful. You're welcome.

  • Good to see you outside for a change! is that your backyard?

As for the grips, I like the circus one, cause it fits the way the club is going to spin when you throw it.

Also, I see you're using the arrows! =)

One of the first tutorials of yours that I've needed actually! Very good and very informative!

  • Yes, arrows! Hats off to you for that. No, not my backyard-- we were visiting family and this is their home.

  • Good tutorial, Chris, but I missed the classic 2 in 1 pattern. It helped me a lot when I was learning 4 clubs, but you have to do it really cleanly and properly.

By the way, if you want to learn 4 clubs under a low ceiling, you can learn them in singles. Of course, it's not the same, but I think it's kinda easy (for me anyway) and looks cool.

  • All true. Great comments. Thanks for adding this.

  • you are my favorite juggler

  • you are my favorite juggler

  • you got an honor!! 3-24-08, #68 Most Discussed Howto And Style! great work!!

  • Woot! Thanks for noting that for me!

  • i would attempt to try the 4 club fountain....only one problem. I have only 3 clubs! lol Thanks for the tutorial, it sure will help when i get the other club!

    Great video man.

  • Nice video Chris, as always. I've got some four club stuff I could throw up here, maybe I'll do that tonight.

  • Yes, I can't wait to see, Brian. Do it. I'll probably try to go and nail it all myself after seeing your stuff.

  • thanks!! this is right were i am, and hate 2 say it but, better tutorial than jason garfields dvd!! thanks again

  • Oh, wow! Thanks. ANY allusion to me being better than Jason Garfield-- I'll take it. Ha!

  • good tutorial!!

  • Like the tutorial on how to hold rings, you timed this perfectly. I've just in the past month been starting to work on 4 clubs. Thanks again. Also, just curious, what video editing software are you using?

  • Cool! You know, I notice that there really are times when I get a confluence of requests for a particular trick or whatever. Seriously, as an example, I had at least 5 different people request this tutorial within about a 10 day period of time. That's why I moved this one to the front burner.

  • This will be on my to-learn list, as soon as I get 3 clubs. Gee I suck.

  • hej you watch me video with 5 balls?

  • Hey Chris. Great video (as is usual for you)! Unfortunately, I learned years ago to do 4 clubs in columns. :-( I've been trying for quite a while now to re-learn 4 clubs in a fountain. I like the columns, but I definitely agree - DON'T LEARN COLUMNS FIRST! What a waste of time. LOL!

  • Jimmy, I had you in mind. I recall you telling me that you learned columns first because you learned it from... Benji?? in order to go on the cruise act?? Still it LOOKS great-- that pattern fills space nicely in a way that the fountain doesn't.

  • Why you no get reply my coment?..you think when you see my 2 newest video than i am is retard?....it isn t truth i want people watch my videos i want get numbers....Vievs: 1,000,000

  • Your comments are approaching the level of stalker. Back off a little. It's nearly impossible to get a million hits. I am not the key to that so you'll need to find someone else.

  • Yes, unfortunately Benji Hill told me to learn it that way. Then, years later, I asked him why and he said he didn't know! Oh well. LOL. Such is life.

  • Here's what you should take away from this: I listen to EVERYthing you say. (Insert evil laugh here....) Honestly, I do have an auditory memory.

  • hej you see my 2 new parodies what are now removes?..pls get reply chriss

  • Yes, I saw them!!!

  • Amazing tut. You're an amazing techer, a very good explainer. You understand how to make us understand what you really are saying, and you know what to say :D I really wanna learn 4 clubs, and i'm like pretty sure i can do it, but my thing is, I've got no more than 3 clubs :( i'm hoping to get 2 more as a birtdaypresent in may (:

    BTW, i'm Mikkel, the juggler, from "Mikanden123". I just made a juggle-channel :)

  • Hey, thanks very much for the nice comment. Yeah, I just checked it out (your channel).

  • good tutorial how every your tutorials

  • working on 4440 on both sides helped me a lot.

4 clubs is easier than 5 balls i think.

  • Is it? if it is, i'm happy. Coz i haven't tried 4 clubs yet, but i can do 5 balls for like 100 catches :D

  • Excellent video. I've always needed help with 4 clubs, thanks. Love the split screen editing. 5 stars *****

  • a big THANK YOU ct !

I´m trying to learn 4 clubs and I think this tutorial will help me a lot.

    thanks again.

  • You are very welcome, man!

  • yep this is exactly what I am struggling on...4 clubs. besides the fact I have 3 like clubs and one different :/....I still struggle like hell on it. Mainly keeping them there so I dont have to move at all. And I was also told by a "pro" to yes, turn the clubs end slightly outwards before throwing....so now I am confused. and yes i smack my wrists all the time nearly anywhere I catch it.

Great to hear all this. circus grip, russian grip...I am circus in right but russian with left :)

  • Hmmm, I guess what I've noticed is that I don't CONCIOUSLY (sp??) need to try to turn it. It just kinda does it on its own as needed if I concentrate more on the other stuff (like throw height and the inside outside circle moton with my arms.

  • Don't your clubs get scratched to hell juggling on gravel?

  • Yes, I hate it. I hardly ever practice there.

  • Great tutorial. Thanks for the tips!

  • u tutorial is so good

  • I really needed those tips on getting the inside to outside movement right. I had been foolishly trying to tilt the club out.

I've heard the circus grip is supposed to be better for multiplex starts, but I don't use it either. Throwing the one on top feels more natural and controlled.

As always, thanks for the help.

  • Of course, glad to help. Thanks for the comment.

  • YOUR A GOOD TEACHER

  • Hey, thank you for that comment. I do teach for a living so it's nice to hear this.
