  • I love the old school nostalgic racing. When it was all engine and thats what mattered. Now these days no one wants to build a good engine, they just throw a supercharger and think they are king of the straight line hill. Great vid!

  • Nice run!

  • Where exactly did you purchase your rear trunk graphics if you do't mind me asking? Look awesome, would love to do something similar. Great run!

  • Not bad for a kid. That was a fantastic race. Those 6packs could run the socks off of any other muscle car out of the factory at the time, maybe the Cobra being the only exception.

  • @jrzy49 cobra jet's were spanking 440's stock. but this also depended on what gearing did you get with the 428 from the dealer.

  • That looked like a hell of a lot more than 650 HP

  • @DrMMHMD not if its stock, where would any tuner be without turbo

  • AWESOME!

  • thATSBLOODY crazy!!! im workin on a 360 duster and this things got baaaalllls

  • Damn, driving this at 20? I'm 27 and I probably won't have my dream car until I'm 50. I'm with you though, anything out of the muscle era I'd drive. I just have a sweet spot for some mopar bodies. 68 charger with round tailights or 69-70 with the flat ones, either way...that's what I'm hoping for. Now to start saving up money!

  • damn talk about a close race! Personaly i am a fan of the challenger but they are basicaly the same car! i love it! i wish Americans went for good taste instead of the peice of shit Toyota and Hondas Goo American Muscle! Hells yeah

  • 2 beats goin @ it :)

  • Aint no one bashing here! And you are so correct about country, everyone knows everything about NOTHING! And as far as your videos go and motors and years I could care less as long as your out there fucking up fords I have much respect! GO MOPAR!

  • Damn in first video you said 830hp now its 600hp? Ive been on this stupid site all night and i now know why this country is going down the tubes everyone on here knows everything about nothing! Every video just about has bullshit on it! Dont believe? Take the time and look.

  • @lastofgenxxx Obviously you know nothing about nothing. The reason this country is going down the tubes is because people like you dont pay attention to detail. This Video was from the summer of 1999 and this was our old 440 engine and yes it did produce 650 hp. The other video is of the new engine and it produces around 830 hp. Get yer facts straight before you bash buddy.

  • @lastofgenxxx why it matters is beyond me

  • @lastofgenxxx

I don't know, dude, but part of the reason this country is so f***ed up could be because of people like you that sit up all night watching videos on YouTube. Get a job, asshole.

  • @lastofgenxxx What I will print is fact.He drove the car,you didn't.The reason this country is going to hell is people like you. This is a great video.Shut up.Peace

  • I bet there was a fire in the carb while it was stalled. The guy at our local track takes the hat off of his head and puts it out if he can. lol Nice run tho and 2 mean rides.

  • Not goin to lie but fuck a 426 Hemi I'd take the 440 Six pack or the 440 Hemi over it

  • @Joe198969 The 440 hemi? I didn't know they made a 440 hemi.....

  • Im a chevy guy but ur car looks and runs great!

  • @deannaber Thanx man. Im not partial to just mopars. I loved all the cars of the muscle car era. Kinda had a soft spot for the more "bread and butter " type muscle cars like 383 mopars and 390 fords and 396 chevys. One of my favs being a 1967 396 chevelle. Loved that car since I was a kid... another a 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator... what a bad ass alternative to the mustang!

  • @warlock451 I agree there are so many cool cars i could talk forever on some of the ones ive owned,i had a 67 malibu that i built when i was younger with a strong 400 so much fun very cool car in deed! i really like the cougars too when done right .if i could get my hands on a 69 ambasador style two door i believe an sst ? anyway i seen one lokked mean like ur car its those cars that people dont know about that makes it cool.

  • @warlock451 buddy of mine found what he thought would be a good parts car for his cougar project, I went over his place took one look and tole him he was stripping his car for the parts the new one needed. he was about to use a NUMBERS MATCHING eliminator for parts .... thank god I came over that day hahaha

  • @warlock451

Wow, warlock, it's great to hear someone with such a fine attitude. I, too, love American muscle cars from the late '50's through the early '70's. Especially big blocks. I was born in '67, and my favorite car of all time is the '67 Chevelle SS 396 / 4 speed. Plan to own one one of these days. Take care.

  • why race mopar vs mopar beautifull cars tho

  • @CVPI95 They're the most fun to watch.

  • @CVPI95 Mopars only can compete with Mopars. Mopars make beating the others look too easy you, need some competition once in a while haha

  • @CVPI95 takes one to catch one

  • @CVPI95 probably because so many nostalgic musclecar drags are tired of mopars laying waste to brand x&y consistently. read those organiztions rules and youll understand one thing quickly. they are very afraid of solid lifter hemi cars. besides why do brand x&y use chrysler engines in their funny cars? any ihra/nhra race is a mopar-vs-mopar affair in topfuel and funnycar. im sure your a bowtie bozo.

  • @Tarten46 im not just a bowtie bozo im a fan of classic gm cars every gm company made several good cars of different types luxurary and muscle they dominated the market, chevys my favorite but i love all american classics thats why im not gonna talk shit. i just like to see them being kept alive. because cars nowadays arent cars at all in my opinion

  • @CVPI95 Aint nothing wrong with that. I have a whole shop full of low mileage Chevrolets and Volkswagons. Theres no way Id spend the money they want for any Mopar Muscle car today (or any other brand). My low mile cars are way more tight. and drive like new they didnt get the beating muscle cars got.. There are some good newer cars. My STI drives out VERY good and is every bit as rude and obnoxious as my old Hemi GTX. One of the last cars to be driven in competion off the showroom floor.

  • @Tarten46 yea i have a 87 caprice and a 97 crown vic police interceptor which are known for being ran hard but mine has low miles because it was a detective car its by far my favorite everyday car i love the durability, rides smooth, comfortable, and wiith just a little money into it can have easily more than average power. i dnt have the money to pour into a old muscle car but i can easily outrun most average cars new & old unless they have expensive mods but all together i only have 3000 in it

  • @CVPI95 i made a living pedaling crown vics. they do make a nice driver and they will take a serious, serious pounding. the mid-late 90's 9C1 Caprices with the LT-1 are a animal and without my boss's knowledge I installed a retuned ECU in my take home car plus a couple of minor tweaks. Several of my coworkers followed suit after they witnessed how much better they run (157mph WITH a light bar!!). Bought one of those for a dailey driver after they were decommisoned.

  • @Tarten46 yea they will take a beating. i hit a steel electrical box at 30 mph in my 95 vic. completely flatened it unreparable and took out the power on the whole street. half of my front bumper was gone and driver and rear driver side door were bent in. other than that i drove it home running like it never happened not a single engine noise or warning light on. iv seen other cars have to be towed away from fender benders

  • @CVPI95 ahhh GM never dominated factory backed racing after 1963. after that is what up to the owner to do what ever he could to get his car faster than stock.

  • @Tarten46 tell me why brand x was pissin on mopars with a certain engine and in 4 certain car's? and why in ihra/nhra brand x was more dominate then mopar? one hint TOTAL PERFORMANCE YEARS, guess what brand im talking about and learn the the real truth about what really happened!!! as for as brand x nd y using chrysler engines FALSE!!! they all use aftermarket vendors for there little nhra escapades now adays, nothing chrysler at all

  • Hey kylerocks666m, you ask about the 429 and the 396 both with 375HP. Yes, that was my day. The 440 had a LOT more torque than that 396 and if the 396 was tuned well they were close. That being said, the car it was in had a lot to do with it, Camaro vs Chevelle. Dart vs Coronet weight comparison. It all depended. It amazes me of some of the answers here. On a good tuned hemi, it was hard to beat. These are modded cars here and both run great. Love the supercar era.

  • GOD that was a close one... sweet cars either way :D

  • 2 great cars from 2 great companys, DODGE and PLYMOUTH MOPARS KICK IMPORT ASS

  • @time2die99 its one company its called chrysler...lol

  • Do you still drag this car ? Just wondering because if I am correct...... Sure looks like Dunn Tire Raceway to me ! I get there a few times a year..... Been going since I was like 15. Love the Drags !!!!! Awesome Road Runner !!!!!

  • @Rupp440 Yes it is Dunn Tire Raceway. We usually run quarter mile with it tho.

  • @warlock451

    you're pretty damn funny

  • MOPAR

  • very nice, my dad has a 68 roadrunner with a 383 love taking it to shows and opening up on the road. god it's amazing, bet you had a blast doing that!

  • close one? lol

  • was that 8th mile?

  • well technicaly if they were both stock the 440 road runner would win because its not as heavy

  • seriously though......

the fastest DODGE MUSCLE i ever rode in was a 440 MAX WEDGE

    seemed more ballzy than 426HEMI

dont get me wrong they both are TQ MONSTERS

  • 440cui its 7,2 Liter? oh man we germans have metric system

  • on a good day a 440 will beat a hemi

  • most were under rated H.P. for insurance purposes.......

  • Perfect race, Im assuming by now you fixed the Rear suspension setup on The Roadrunner it has some serious tire shock from the car not transfering the weight correctly. Awesome runner btw.

  • Yep... This was 10 years ago and the car has gone through some chassis mods aswell as engine upgrades

  • Is this the girdled and studded 493 stroker??

  • No this one is studded... Its the one were it runs a 9.90's in the quarter mile agains a stroker small block dart.

  • sweet race and gorgoues car funny when you killed it tho lol

  • nice video give us more. nice run and under presure why to come back after the car kills.

  • 2 badass cars, good stuff

  • Is the Road Runner Six-pack or Magnum?

  • btw warlock was the 1970 429 cobra jet really rated at 375 hp because my dad has one of those and hes got the 396 375 hp version and he say the 429 would prob beat it so whats up with that (btw im 14 so dont laugh at me)

  • hey do you still have that 440 or did you sell it or somthin?

  • Flyin yamahas, Batman - nice sounding 'runner. yum.

  • sick ass car man, and that reaction time, holy crap that's insane.

  • Thnx man... I really swung for the fence and tried to kill the tree. I knew I had a good reaction time, but I had no idea I had a perfect .500 light. I only did it one more time about a year ago... its an awesome feeling.

  • Yes. this is an 1/8 mile track. Traction was also poor on this run. This car used to run 6.70's when it hooks at this track and 10.70's in the quarter with the old engine. Now a days it has a 493 stroker power plant and runs 9.80's 1/4 mile and 6.20's 1/8 mile.

  • This looks like Lancaster Speedway, were my dad raced a purple '70 Cuda back in the day....

  • Yes it is indeed!

  • my first car was 340 mopar,,my first ride in muscle was 1970 440 road runner,,,i think i got a tear in my eye lol

  • I love watching mopars racing mopars

  • NightFightah...."Hmmm...someone's played a bit too much NFS Prostreet...and a 1965 Challenger? Is that a bit like that really rare 1952 Mustang? Or that very rare prototype 1932 Camaro? :P Sorry, couldn't resist. "

The moral of this story is - if you're gonna throw down against an established drag racer, a) get your facts right, b) get your own car together, and c) have a bit more than a weeks worth of driving under your belt. By now it'll be about six months, still not enough IMO. I'm out.

  • Haha, thanks for reposting my comment! :)

  • Hey no problem...I felt bad that I hit remove by accident. LOL!

  • Both great cars , although I still wish I had the legendary '70 Hemi Challenger .

Too bad muscle cars are extremely difficult to get (at a decent price) here in Europe :/ .

  • 426 Hemi and the 440 six pack were both un-derated from the factory at 425hp and 375hp

  • they declare hp different now and the old cars have less on the new scale. keep in mind that old cars are big but dont weigh as much as a car that is smaller in size now. with all the epa and safety equipment it all adds weight.

  • actually muscle cars are much much heavier. the body are pure metal. no plastic dent resistant shit. you couldnt be more wrong.

  • I have to agree with coaland nuclear. The new chargers, challengers and 300 chyslers are over 4000Lbs. The newr cars are just as heavy as thier older muscle car counter parts and in some cases heavier.

  • I'm backing up coalandnuclear. My '65 dart has a stockk curb weight of 3,000 pounds.

  • I fucking want a road runner >:(

  • Looks like you jumped the gun on takeoff

  • where do you get that decal the one on the trunk?

  • Ya know, its been on there since 1996...I'll have to ask my father... I'll get back to ya on that.

  • Yeah...but I didn't LOL! I also hit a perfect light in june of 2008. Its an awesome feeling!

  • I had the feeling the Road Runner was going to win, 440s are underrated.

  • 2 real muscle cars duke it out.

  • paintballing 4 respect go back to playing with your little toy guns and quit trying to act tough, challenger didnt hit the manufacturing lines til the early 70's, and kudos on the road runner man, favourite car... gotta love em.

  • nice car dude, but how the hell did you BEAT him when he had lower time than you?

  • I had him on the tree. I had a perfect .500 reaction time on the starting lights to his slow .600 reaction time. While his car was faster, he couldn't catch me on the top end of the track.

  • si yo tuviera un carro como ese lo primero que le aria fuera el amor

  • Haha. Thats cute...What are ya 4? Tell daddy that I said that he is a retard for telling you that he "had" 65 challenger...because they never made one. Oh and by the way, match box cars and hot wheel don't count...be-yotch!

  • wow you are retarded challengers weren't out until 1970

  • lmfao... your daddy has a 1965 challenger? that's pretty much impossible... as to comparing driving to your high school and racing out on the strip... lmao nuf said

  • oh shit!!!

    2 great cars!!!

    who will win!!!

  • i got a 3.8l

  • i have a 70 superbird 440 6 pack 4 speed...on radials and after a mustang blew its as out the botom in front of me i ran a 13.56 at 95 mph...anybody know what the car weighs? that is all stock btw..skyline? 1000hp? 10 seconds flat ...il take my heavy girl and when your jap car breaks ill take your girlfriend home with me as well...

  • @winged70bbody2 japanese cars last long as hell and btw its very rare when a muscle can even compare with a skyline r34 or r35 especially when the 2012 r35 makes 0-60 in 2.9 seconds(stock). But anyways props to you for having a beast that does 13.56 at 95 mph

  • @iiWR3kLeSsxZ your car can barely keep up with a muscle car thats 30 yrs older and stock, there is almost no way a stock tuner will beat a stock 69 copo camaro.

  • @thugstylef and...... that muscle is highly modified do the same for an r35 and it will shit all over any muscle

  • @iiWR3kLeSsxZ ha a copo camaro stock runs 11's no turbo or supercharger.....throw one on there like the r35 a considered super car and it will leave it in dust

  • @thugstylef are u kidding me the fastest car in the world(buggatti veyron super sport) gets smoked by a modified r35 there is even a video. Please name any muscle or a car that can outrun a veyron. And by the way the r35 is not a super car it should but its a tuner. This isnt the ordinary jap car. The supra and a skyline are cars that muscles cannot handle unless the cars are nearly stock. If the 2012 r35 stock does 0-60 in 2.9 secs imagine when its modified. A copo camaro cant handle a Veyron

  • @iiWR3kLeSsxZ get your facts straight first of all the veyron is no longer The fastest car in the world and the r35 is considered a super car especially with that price tag........your ignorant have you ever seen a TT v8 they will pretty much smoke any tuner someone should make a video of a highly modified TT r34 or 35 vs a highly modified TT v8 big displacement muscle

  • @thugstylef Are u kidding me there is a difference between a veyron and a veyron super sport. The super sport came out this year, costs more money, and hit a record of 267 mph. And the r35 is no supercar even nissan said it. That car goes for 80 grand is that a super car price tag to you?. You get your facts straight before you look even more stupid. Shows how ignorant and how much of a hypocrate you are. Im done talking about this you clearly need to learn your cars.

  • @iiWR3kLeSsxZ well enough of the super car bullshit were talking about Tuners and muscle here and the GTR is considered super and as for Nissans word that it wasnt, they also said it couldn't be modified and look what happened, a tuner is a civic or some accord 350 z bullshit, and I like how u completely just ignored my comment about a TT V8 I believe you are the ignorant one here as I am not a biased car guy like you I actually like Tuners and muscle

  • @thugstylef I like muscles but im telling you that a muscle cant hang with a r35 and yes you can mod a r35 ive seen them like the mine's r35. And are you still saying the copo is faster than the new skyline or can hang with it?. If it can beat the fastest car in the world the copo is not even close to it. Saying the copo is faster is like saying its faster than the veyron super sport.

  • @iiWR3kLeSsxZ you are stupid why would I talk about the fastest car in the world in a 1/4 mile video I was saying stock TUNERS have hard time keeping up with stock muscle and just so you know someone modified a cuda and it went over 240 mph make it aero and I'm sure it could almost keep up with anything. and not once did I mention the copo in my last two comments.I think its a fucking shame that 16 cyl.4 turbo veyron isn't a lot faster than it is. R35 is not a tuner so don't mention it anymore.

  • @thugstylef you were saying your muscle would leave a skyline into dust you were not saying it has a hard time keeping up with it.From a guy who says im stupid look at your older comments. Im done with the arguement

  • @iiWR3kLeSsxZ actually dumbass read over your comments you brung it up and i simply disagreed with you. my FIRST comment in this argument said stock tuners and stock muscle your FIRST comment in this argument brought up the nontuner r35.

  • @thugstylef Was i talking about the first comment?I said older comments.-you- "there is almost no way a stock tuner will beat a stock 69 copo camaro." nuff said. keep talking im out

  • @thugstylef no enough about tuner trash...all they do is make a mess at the track when they disinagrate. and again when you have a muscle car, you just don't care about jap crap okay?

  • Questions! I'm looking to beef up my '72 440 Road Runner. It's had some pretty outrageous engine work done to it, so I'm looking to make the chassis more rigid.

That was a pretty ridiculous takeoff you had there. Does your dad's car have a roll cage? 4-link rear or leafs? How wide of a tire is on there?

All and any help is appreciated.

    Wicked run, and nice car!

  • Yeah, the car has a cage, 4 link ans 29.5 X 12 hosier slicks. You actually want to make the rear of the car soft for the lauch and the front needs to be very responsive aswell.

  • NO it true they did a test with all of the muscle car engine and the mopar 426 hemi did like 826 HP!!!!!!

  • It was a bogus test... the Hemi was not stock. I saw the show and I've seen "built to stock" hemis on dynos... They only make 450-500 Hp... Factory tested was 463Hp...Race Hemis made 650-700Hp... Don't belive everything thats on T.V.

  • Some says the Street-HEMI gives more than 500 bhp, and that the Race-HEMI gives over 800 bhp, don't know if that's true, but you would not have to little power that's for sure ^^

About the debate ''Cammer 427 SOHC vs HEMI 426 RACE-version'', if the ''Cammer'' wasen't more powerfull than the Race-HEMI, why did Chrysler then complain about it?

Because they knew it was more powerfull than their Hemi, and knew that if Ford were able to race it, they would most likely win, both engines is great.

  • The Hemi was a production engine and the Ford cammer was experimental...Ford and GM bitched at the Hemis debute at Daytona in 1964 that it was an experimental engine because it was not in any production vehicles. Chrysler went on to make it a production engine...So if the Hemi had to be a production engine, then the Cammer had to be as well. Ford Shortly after dropped the engine. Cammers also broke alot. Most of the cammer/hemi races were pretty even.

  • love the old direct connection license plate

  • sweet video man. way to represent mopar.

  • The thing bout the under rated factory HP thing was that the did actually make the HP that they said they would at the specified RPM. The Hemi made 425HP@ 5300 RPM...what they didnt tell the insurance companies was that they made thier peak power at 6000 RPM...they made 463 HP.

Typical HP loss through the accesories and drivetrains is about 21%

  • if anyone here is a car fan they'd know they had a show on speed vision that took pontiacs chevys fords and chryslers. they dyno'd the 426 it made 800 hp the 427 ford made 600 hp it was to prove how much they underated these engines another thing to remember ford and chrysler made heavy ass street cars

  • Thats the show I'm speaking of. If the Hemi made 800 hp, it would put a 3800lbs road runner into the high to mid 10 range not the actual high 13 seconds that they were tested at. The Hemi and Ford engine was NOT built to spec for that show and mis-lead a lot of people. My father has a supercharged 426 hemi and that dyno's at 800hp.How can a stock hemi make 800 hp and my fathers modified supercharged hemi make the same 800hp? Don't believe what ya seen on that show....it was total bullshit.

  • yea iv seen that show on speed i dought it alot

  • Chrysler Documentation states that The Hemi (which was Dyno'd and tested in Dyno cell 13) Produced a corrected 463hp@ 6000RPM. Btw, a stock street Hemi would usually get its clocked cleaned by the 440 in an equil car durring a street race. Street Hemis needed Lower gears than the 440's and were Pigs off the line without them.

  • caseyaxel- every hp factory car from the muscle era was underrated for insurance another thing is how many stcok cars have a drivetrain to handle that much pony alot of power is lost through the cluth or clutchs(automatics) but i won't argue that the 440 was no push over mopar was all about power even in the small 340

(sorry, I meant to reply to your comment and accidentally deleted it...my bad!!)

  • A 426 Hemi Stock will run a 1/4 time of 12 and a half to 13. Whoever says that it it rated over 800 Horse 'Stock' is a Moron Its 426 Cubic inches, I think the max power is 480-500. But only gets 425-446 to the rear wheels.

  • you gotta remember they rated it 425 horse, 500 ft lb torque at 3500 RPM, with a stock 426 lame ass intake, restrictive exhaust, ABOVE 3500 RPM it made near 500 horse, once you put headers, a decent intake, and other mild improvements, 650 or so was possible and achieved. But the 440's were no slouches either, Those cars were all running sons of bitches back then

  • 426 hemi. not many people know this, but they produce over 800hp at the crank by todays way of measuring

  • they produce sumthin like 470hp stock i think

    not 800 ))

  • 800 at the crank but it gets a couple hundred less to the wheel

  • stock?

    800hp stock?

  • its 800 i seen it myself

  • stock is RATED 425 but yea its probably really around 470-500

  • quite aware that its rated about 50-70 under the real hp. but not 800hp stock.

  • ya no way its 800

  • back then they messured hp just by driving it, but i've seen hooked up to the machine. it does like 800hp. i didnt believe it either. i want to know where that power goes when the motor is in the car. an old ford 427 was at 436hp if i remember it correctly

  • when the engine is in the power goes through the transmission, down the driveshaft, through the rear differential (which cuts some horsepower) and to the wheels. there ya go

  • i know all that, but a couple hundred? it must of had the heaviest driveshaft

  • i dunno i aint no mechanic man i break the shit not learn about it

  • I'm sure you're talkin about theshow that was on a few months back...I laughed because most of the info about what was really done to their test engines was a load of crap. Back in the 60's, HP was rated at the crank with alternator and water pump, not in the car. The race hemis made 650 hp.

  • warlock451 maybe that challenger probably only had 426 HP cause you beat it with your Dads 440 race car, but if it was running the way it should have been He would have kicked your ass!I seen that show you are talking about on the Muscle car engines from the 60s and that Hemi made 800 HP!and it was stock! You just pissed cause your Dad dont have one!

  • Kinda funny dad, thats your Road Runner I'm driving in the video...and thats your supercharged hemi I'm talking about too.

  • challenger kicks ass

    well mopar does really

  • i like chevy better than dodge because there are more parts available for chevy engines. down here the only people driving dodges are the state patrol, and they never chase any body.

  • true, the chevy parts are easy to get hands on but i like mopar better still. mopar is the rich guys muscle car

  • rich guys have v12s and exotic cars.

  • ok, mopar is for rich people with taste

  • the only thing rich people can taste is whine and fake cuban cigars.

  • ok, i know you're not rich by you comments

  • ur right.but u cant buy knowledge.

  • only the queer ones

  • saw a bumper sticker the other day, "If you cant pass them, outlaw em" and had a picture of a hemi and a nascar symbol. I love it.

  • Roadrunner,,if he catches you your done. right on!that must have been a rush! I'm a former roadrunner owner that let my ride go for nothing back in the day.Fuck, fuck, fuck

  • who won?

  • The road runner by less than a foot. Very Close race...If I wouldnt have had a perfect .500 reaction time, I would have lost for sure.

  • should of got a 540 blower

  • man i can't wait to finish college so me and my dad can fix his 69 roadrunner!

  • that will be fun! :)

  • keiner regt sich über die Leute auf, die die ganze Zeit durch's Bild laufen..

  • MOPAR OR NO CAR!!

  • lol

    Most

    Over

    Powered

    And

    Respected. lol

    hell fuckin yea!

  • haha TOO RIGHT

there ain't nothing humble about that Hemi rumble :D

  • lol top 3 engines to come out of the muscle car era. 1.426 2.428 3.427 who's at the top? a fuckin mopar! chevy and ford ain't got shit on mopars! Cock Hasn't Entered Vagina Yet those blow. and fucked over rebuilt dodges do too...wait if it were a dodge it'd still be on the road.
  • hell yeah

    Chrysler

    Chevy

    Ford

I like the others but they've got nothing on Chrysler Corporation

haha you're just too right :D

a proper Hemi sucks gas and kicks ass....it's ol' King Kong hisself :D

  • sucks gas and kicks ass eh? never heard that one but that's pretty good i've got to give you props for that. those were the biggest gas guzzlers but hell they're also on top of everything...and a 454 can't even take one...corse a 396 can't take a 383...the guy that raced my dad found that one out the hard way. lol

  • haha back when it was like 33cents per gallon it didn't matter

    I miss that

    ah well

sweet....what was your dad driving?haha I wish my dad had been into Mopars....he just has Range Rovers and Jags (being British sucks sometimes)

  • yea those were the days. now it's fuckin $4 where i live. his old 68 dart with the 383 he pulled out of his police cruiser fury. he broke both motor mounts and a turnbuckle that night. the guy asked my dad what he had under the hood b4 the race "340" and the guy was like i'll fuckin fry you. they met up and my dad was done b4 that 396 hit 3rd gear it was pretty sweet. dumbass should've know what he was getting into you could hear the car from a mile away.he thought it was a 340. lol that's good

  • ha man I wish I was there :D

    a Chrysler 383 can roast a GM 396 before 4000rpm

I wish that races like that went on here but that just never happens here...but in fairness his Range Rover roasts plenty....the 4.2l supercharged V8. and he had an XJS and a Morgan Aero 8. haha I just have a diesel pickup....insurance and fuel is killer....I plan something better soon though

whereabouts are you from?it's like $12 per gallon in Britain

  • yea nothing will outrun a 426. i laugh at the chevy men when they say the've got more power...the 426 was the only engine to be ban by nascar so i laugh. and that's pretty good. range rover's aren't that bad. and a diesel isn't bad that's what i wanted but we bought something else. and i'm in Nebraska. and holy shit i thought we had it bad fuckin $12 a gallon? how the hell do you afford it?

  • Wow! seems they both hooked well on the tarmac. Love to watch these mosters go!

NO CAR lIKE A MOPAR :-)
