It's not actually a list of all devices on your network.
It's a list of devices which connected to your router AND REQUESTED AN IP ADDRESS.
If I statically assign my IP Address my system will not appear on your table.
Likewise I can scan for your hostname and MAC address without ever associating to your network.
I can then set my hostname and MAC address to match/clone your credentials and you would never know that I was there if this is the only method by which you detect people.
Rich, I have asked for DHCP to be updated on the product, Skype and the PM are on it and should be refreshed on the next update. Feel free to contact support@ebuynow.com if you have any further ideas/changes.
@maxplay143109 The eBuyNow CEO emailed me and informed me of the future firmware update that's being worked on. I've added an annotation to the video that a fix is in the works.
@jmm1233 It was just a slight oversight. I was emailed by the CEO of eBuyNow (where you buy the box from) and a firmware update is in the works which will fix the issue. FreeTalk boxes by default are set to auto-update the firmware once a night if there's a new version available, so anyone using one will receive the update automatically once released.
Where is the Connect Me software? Instruction manual says "Computer" and "Network Places" but there is no such place in Windows 7.

If someone is using your network, would their host name show up even if your network is not secure?
