Hi there, I hope you might be able to refer me to one of your videos, I am a complete novice with excel, but I want to create a database on like sheet two, and have a smart looking front sheet 1 with a search box that I can use to search the data that has been collected. Any suggestions?
I don't have a video on the 'Form' feature to search a database. But the Form is not 'Smart looking or very useful'. If you wanted to use a 'Form', you have to tell me what version of Excel you are using. If you want to do something custom (which is preferable) you must use VBA code. I am not good with VBA code. The best place to ask questions about Excel VBA code is:
@ExcelIsFun Thanks, I ended up using Vlookup which is working ok, however I have set it up to search names and you have to have an exact match to find the result which is not very helpful
Mike, what are your thoughts on MCAS certification? I got SAS certified (at the most basic tier) and no employer gave a care. From what you've heard and read, are employers attracted to candidates that have those letters or do they react with a "meh"?
Thanks in advance. Love your vids -- I've learned more in the last two weeks than my entire college career!
I have zero ideas about the topic of certification. I am not familiar with any of the certification processes and I have no certification myself. I just never got around to get any certification myself.
You might search for a YouTuber named PrincessWithSkills. She is a fellow Excel YouTuber that knows something about certification.
Not, yet. But I will do it for the 1000th Excel one (since I have some family videos posted also). I have to figure out which is the Excel 1000th - it is aproximately the 1055 video...
Maybe I will have my 3 1/2 year old do an Excel video for number 1000!?
