  • Just saw these guys in Tulsa a few days ago. It was amazing! They've still got it.

  • Woah, this video is totally spooky! That dude singing must totally be crazy or something! ..................I know this video is pushing twenty years, and technology was not that accessible, but looking at this now, it's just looks like some teenagers with a video camera drove around Chicago and were all excited about Gothic imagery..."woah dude that looks really creepy, lets take some more acid and film it!" Fucking hilarious!

  • One from the time machine...i adore this one, but the correct title is: And This Is What The Devil Does.

  • there is NOTHING in the world that sounds like this or can make me feel the way it does. there is something about the synths and the pacing and the "screaming" sample in this song that always, always gives me chills and makes me super fucking nostalgic. only TKK can do this!!!!

  • Oh My Fuckin Ali3n God! (OMFAG)

"Confessions of a knife" changed my life.

    i still do drugs!

    RIP

  • Was Buck Ryder ((AKA: Thomas Thorn)) singing this one?

  • @Electrotrash420

He was a touring musician only, and left very soon after. He used TKK to get himself noticed for his new band Electric Hellfire Club.

  • @Oceanrain78 I met groovie and brought up EHC. apparently a very sore subject. He said, "Hey man, I've got nothing to do with that. That band was started by some roadie of ours..." He didn't even honor him with the title of musician. Personally, I think EHC's got nothing on TKK. EHC had a couple good songs on their first album, and one amazing album after that, namely kiss the goat, but TKK's a lot more prolific and consistent in quality...

  • @NazTb0y I completely agree

  • This was so ahead of of it time!!!! And what a great song to take acid tooooooooo

  • they are touring with the lords of acid.july 30 n.y.c baby!!it`s going to be badass!!!!

  • God this sounds like such a Skinny Puppy rip off.

  • @UNSUNGBAND Fuck you, retard. Can you name me one good skinny puppy song--just one?! They can't write songs for shit!

  • @NazTb0y every Skinny Puppy song is well written and performed you stupid smelly twisted cunt worm. But your fagotty ass was probably still in diapers in those days. So shut your stinkin' pie hole!

  • @InduztrialRulz actually, since I wrote this comment I've checked out Skinny puppy & bought the singles album. they're pretty awesome, & I was short-sighted & unfair to dismiss them, though Ogre really disappointed me in Repo!. I mean, it was cool having him there, but he didn't sing anything Skinny-Puppyish. However, Unsungband is still a dickhead for calling MLWTKK a "skinny puppy rip off." I do find TKK still a lot more listenable than SP, which requires the right mood.

  • @NazTb0y I saw an Ogre interview where he talked of Repo and he wanted to do something that was not the norm for his style. I actually love what he did in Repo and think it is very character driven but I do understand where you are coming from though.

  • @marquisdesator Then that was dumb on his part. He should have used a different pseudonym or maybe even his real name rather than "Ogre." It's false advertising to say, "We've got Ogre from SP in this film" and then have him do nothing Ogre-like. The name, "Ogre," signifies SP, so if you're not going to act SP-like, use a different name.

  • @UNSUNGBAND I am a HUGE Skinny Puppy fan....this is nothing like SP at all, and that is the great thing about MWTKK, these guys are like S&M for the ears!!! totally sexy..

  • @UNSUNGBAND Thanks for pointing out that 95% of 80s and 90s elektro industrial is derivative of Skinny Puppy. Now you can graduate to Electronic Music 2nd Grade. Derp. TKK was just hedonistic funky industrial that doesn't honestly have much to do with SP other than they are a lesser and later industrial band. No one is acting like Thrill Kill were the masters so ease up.

  • @vsander09 Aww didn't feel it would be such a big deal since I didn't post that comment on a Nine Inch Nails video.

  • When I first heard TKK, I threw up all over myself. It was the regurgitation of my miserable life...since then, I've been on hand & knee, THIS IS AS INDUSTRIAL AS IT GETS. Does anyone hear what sounds like Reznor at 1:27? I know it's not...just reminds me of Pretty Hate Machine, the last good NIN album. HEH...jk.

  • At the begining of this video... the nun beating the blond girl That was not staged it was happening the film crerws caught it an used it in the video TKK almost got sued over the whole thing

  • When you see the nun beating the girl.. That did happen that was not stages TKK almost got sued over it...

  • Does my Lord and master own Starbucks ? ....cool cuz i luv triple lattes.

  • i didn't know that devil spills coffee on purpose

    that bastard

  • COOL WORLD!!!! :D

  • This was indeed some excellent work at that time, this was over 20 year's ago. I had the opportunity to meet these talented artist's and have some small chat with them on their "Confession's of a Knife" ( a masterpiece in my opinion) tour, a stayed in contact with Thomas Thorn when he went to form "Electric Hellfire Club". A hard working and dedicated group of artist's indeed!

"Politically Depressed" .... the Ranch Chimp Journal

  • he looks SO young in this vid! Cant believe my parents let me listen to this when i was 14 yrs old! No wonder i'm crazy:)

  • @islandgal75 yeah, all i listened to from 13-16 was Electric hellfire club and My life with the thrill kill kult. Good stuff, i still own all their gear today.

I love that this generation is finally growing up, we all need to band together, take power, and over through the government.

  • @HALEterSkelter SO true....i think all of the goth kids in the late 80's eraly 90's were Anarchist anyway....yeah....we should overthrow the elites that run this shithole country....

    4ever loaded....:)

  • @islandgal75 Welll said

  • @islandgal75 , you are not crazy,...you just like good music.

  • @islandgal75 you an me both..lol..

  • @islandgal75

    *grumbles*

    I wish I was 14 when I heard TKK

  • @Ophiguris all that matter is you know of them today! although you missed alot of outrageous shows in the late 80's early 90's :) i havent seen them in 4 ever but from wht ive heard they still rock the house:))

  • @islandgal75

Hahaha, some one else told me they were dead XP

  • @Ophiguris nope..they are on tour now in the USA. not sure where ur from...but any show they put on is like a freakin twisted circus. a must see. catch em if u can....

  • @islandgal75 they certainly do.

  • @islandgal75 when i was 10 my favorite song was down with the sickness by disturbed. its not quite as twisted as this but the last 30 seconds are david draiman screaming about killing his mother lol

  • @islandgal75

    Cool parents!

  • @islandgal75 Lmao I was that age too X P

  • Thrill Kill Kult! (repeat and repent)

  • I first heard this song from the movie "Cool World' about a year ago. Sure the movie was an incomprehensible piece of shit, but it had a killer soundtrack I could listen to for the rest of my life. Been a TKK fan ever since.

  • i dont remember hearing this in Showgirls!

  • 23 again right after splintering videos to audio sigils

  • this track is great. Find "Burning Dirt" and "Dementia 66" kisks ass. However Confessions is their best work.

  • a fab... but pathetic

  • Classic old school music, when alternative music meant this type of music sub culture, and not Yanni music(alternative)

  • Cool song and video!!!

  • I've gone up on drugs so much I don't think I can come down I really don't.........and everybody thinks I'm high and I am!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This isn't the Devil Does Drugs. This track is And This Is What The Devil Does.

  • @laquambunettashay: actually, the original title of this song is "The Devil Does Drugs". it's the b-side to "Nervous Xians"

title was changed and the song edited for the I See Good Spirits album. so you're both right...

  • Well actually the "original" title of this song is "First Cut" and was the A-side on the first MLWTTKK-12". But I guess we're all right... :o)

  • now that i didn't know. it's just like "After The Flesh" is a sped up version of "Nervous Xians"

  • @laquambunettashay They may say in the song "and this is what the devil does" -- but the title of this song is "The Devil Does Drugs". It's featured on their self-titled album.

  • @Sugardeluxe No, this version of it is called "...And This Is What The Devil Does!", and it's from their first album, "I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits." It's a remix of the song "First Cut" from their 1987 debut EP.

"The Devil Does Drugs" is actually a remix of this version, and was the b-side to "Nervous Xians," later compiled onto the "Kooler Than Jesus" CD, which was rereleased a few years ago as the self-titled album.

I can't believe I remember all of that.

  • @setcharoo A man that knows TKK wow an I thought I was the only one out there....

  • @setcharoo I personally like both versions.

  • @AdmiralJaden yes.

  • shiiiiiiit

  • What movie do the clips with the woman with black hair on the bus or train belong to?

  • @XenoBoT That's not from a movie, that was shot on (I think) the Blue Line in Chicago.

Or it could be from the unreleased movie "My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult" from which the band took its name.

  • LOL

  • The song is called "The Devil Does Drugs"

    Amazing song.

  • not true:

the song is called and this is what the devil does.. (on: I see good Spirits i see bad spirits)

  • Yeah that was a bad thing for me to do, I commented before listening to the whole song.

  • no problem at all!

  • I <3 groovy man soo much..

  • Now I totally feel like going dancing :)

  • lol i barfed on there shit too, and got ran off by roadys

  • This was the first TTK video I ever saw. its been a lasting love affair

  • nice shows, wanna fuck...

  • You wish, troll.

  • I see good spirits I see bad spirits and Confessions of a Knife are perfect industrial disco albums... there were so many great tracks on both of them. Sexplosion was amazing at the time but didn't have a lasting sound. I recommend finding their first EP with the original version of this song called "The First Cut"

  • sexplosion doesn't have lasting sound?! dude, I only just became a fan of TKK a year ago, and it still ranks as one of the best albums I've ever bought--along with most over releases by TKK (just ordered the limited box set of Death Threat). "sex... is perverted and sick" "oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah."

  • my ringtone

  • One of the best industrial bands ever - sick beats -

  • QUIT ARGUING ABOUT RELIGION!

TKK changes their sound with damn near every album, but they stay true at the core.

Buy the best of album just so you can sample them all. Or Confessions of A Knife cuz it's amazing.

And this is what the devil does....

  • First time I heard this song was a club called ECT...in Houston.Fell in Love with it.That was 1989

  • what does the devil do

  • drugs

  • you liars! repent!

  • Leaving Wax Trax! at 2:48! 2449 N. Lincoln!!

  • hmm i was recommended this band. I like this song more than I thought I would!

  • Have you ever found a booger on your finger unexpectedly, popped it into your mouth with the assumption that it must be from your nose, only to realize it tastes entirely unfamiliar and probably isn't yours? I'm kinda got that goin' for me right now. I'm also glad you like this band.

  • Hey! I was saving that for later!!! :)

  • This song always makes me think of salma hayek in a nun outfit as a vampire singing it ala dusk til dawn

  • Thank you for the flashback!

  • FUCK ME, I love this song.... every since I heard it in the movie Cool World and the cartoon characters were dancing to it

  • actually, that's a different song: "the devil does drugs," which is a remix of this version (or is it the other way around?)...

  • Yes the devil does drugs is a remix of this is what the devil does....

  • is there a Thrill Kill Kult greatest hits CD?

And for new fans whats the best CD to get with songs like this and the devil does drugs?

  • stuff from the 88-90, you won't be disapointed

  • Yes, there is a best of CD that is titled, oddly enough, "Best of My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult". It's difficult to suggest CDs for new fans only becuase TKK covers so much musical territory from disco, lounge, to industrial and there are a number of remixes. My favs are "Hit & Run Holiday", "Sexplosion", "Dirty Little Secrets Music to Strip By" and "My Life Remixed" to name but a few.

  • dnt forget DAISY CHAIN 4 SATAN!

  • daisy chain 4 satan=BADASS song

  • confessions of a knife was my first, and I quickly came to acquire all their stuff. only thing I don't like by em are some of their remixes. they remix songs til they're blue in the face, and often the original version (or album version) is much better.

  • @NazTb0y yup...Confessions was beautifully dark....my fave ...also loved sexplosion...it was different..but in a good bondage, disco type way....:) THEY ARE the best show live...and i been 2 a lot of shows in my 35 yrs! Another good industrial band is MeatBeatManifesto.....love them too:)

  • @islandgal75 *if* you're there, I'm sure they are. But if you're trying to get someone into the band, and you show them youtube clips of their live stuff, you'd be doing them a disservice. they can't hit all the right notes when live, and the timing's off. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to music. I like hearing things in their pristine state.

  • @NazTb0y That's what industrial groups do. They make a song, remix the hell out of it until they get bored, then they give it to their friends, and the friends remix the hell out of it until they get bored, and it's just one nonstop cycle.

  • @2redaces well, that's what a lot of bands do in popular music. Industrial bands didn't invent remixes. Some remixes, like the one for temptation serenade in the resurrection of Luna, and the songs on Dirty Little Secrets, can actually be pretty interesting, but others are just painful and monotonous. My point is that, if something isn't broken don't fix it. I've heard the other versions of this song, and the first one is still the best by far...

  • @NazTb0y i don't know, the remix of this song is great i think...the devil does drugs

  • @TheMercman51 it's not bad, but the original is so perfect, that, in my mind, if it's not an improvement, it's almost not worth bothering...

  • You know I hate Black

  • so clever! taken from the movie Gone with the Wind!

  • Makes me wanna dig my wax traxx tapes out!!!

  • also a beautiful mormon I fell in love with.

Damn ,..I wish I could have licked her.

  • wax trax! love it... omg.. this was the shit 88-92

  • Great song from the late 80's. Part of the Wax Tarx label. Wow bring back some memories.

  • This makes me want to kill baby monkeys!

    ...with hammers!!

  • this makes baby Jesus cry...

  • Years of countless wars, years of persecution, years of murder. . This is what Christ does. . In the name of religion. . .This is what Christ does. . .

One Satanist once wrote, religion was the best invention to cause evil, roll on Christianity. . Remember 9/11? This is what religion does, this is what religion does, this is what religion does. . .Deuteronomy. .

Open your eyes you primitive. . .

  • Yes indeed. This is what I try to tell the world around me. There have been more atrocities in the name of gOD than for any other reason in history. And they call Jesus the "Prince of Peace?"I have seen in my own life, especially childhood, how religion causes strife, anger and hatred. How is this supposed to do any good? Christianity's repentance doctrine seems to encourage crimes against humanity stating that if you commit rape and murder, just adress the ceiling as Jesus and say "I'm sorry."

  • If the fictional Jebus had ever been or a devil to his self interested goodness! Though in thought if there was a devil , the first thing he would create would be religions!

  • Hail Satan! Shemhamephorath!

  • Alot of dudes listen to hip-hop in the marines.

I listened to industrial in Iraq. FPS Doug that shit!

  • Oh how I long for the days of Wax Trax!

  • wow, wax trax- used to buy anything at tower records with "wax trax" on it.

  • That makes two of us.

  • the remixed version is better but this one also tickles me too!!!

  • makes my earlobes twitch

  • As long as we have this music. Those day's will never die for us..80's and early 90's where the shit.

  • wow, this does sound like early 'marilyn manson and the spooky kids'. I like it.

  • dude, don't know where to start....this existed so that marilyn could be possible much later! Not ripping on marilyn, just sayin that this porn lounge industro ancestor of Mr. Manson!

  • I caught them all, she was the only one that didn't run to the bus.

    Atomic cafe I think.

  • LOL, I remember this tune from when I was 15..now I am soon to be 34 :)

  • I am 34 as of today!!!hahahaa, and we're the babies of our generation!!!!! Keep livin' , we need ya!! This is going on my favorites today, no reason to ever stop listening to the best music, right?!!!!!!!!!

  • but hear u are listening to them yourself u sheep as you would say.....

why did u pick me to insult ???did i ever insult you?????.....

    .

  • its ben at least 17 years since i heard thiS xong.the last time i did hear it was in the movie COOL WORLD..i saw them at the ROXY or the RITZ in NEW YORK IN THE EARLY 90'S,,...

  • I really miss these days of great music!

  • This song rocks!!!

  • satanic techno punk at its best, one of the few original pioneers of this genre, underrated artistictly but great underground following

  • Hell yeah! Thrill Kill Kult! It's been a while but they still rock.

  • One of the BomB Gang girls signed my wallet.
