As I believe, the name of the dance itself is "La Danse De L'Amour Non Récompensé" (The Dance of Unrequited Love). You can tell why! :P I'd not be willing to wager, but all variations of the dance that I've ever seen performed sight 12th century French texts naming it so as their source. :)
