  • So good...

  • OMG! that sounds good :)

  • pa mi que algun rato se le fue acompañado de caldo al que canta jajajajaj

  • You can keep your Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and Justin Bieber...I will keep my Bobby Kimball.

  • Anyone who likes this song, and has heard it many times, and cannot admit to singing Bobby Kimball's parts, are F*****n lying! Man can that cat sing!

  • @Lucicsux sad but true...

  • one bass to rule them all...

  • i was ,not bad, when they went over in the song "Bird land - wheather report"

  • why fuk the original

  • Please one more person make a Gandalf/Dumbledore/Father Time joke. We're all waiting for your unique comic genius, It never get's old.

  • ...please please please turn off the autotuner...and get to the trash...

  • Holy voice ! Bobby Kimball is awesome !!!

  • @chrichri2409

They auto-tuned him a bit so his voice wasn't too much out of pitch. But I agree, he is still awesome.

  • Yes indeed. The legendary Lee Sklar. Possibly the most sought after session bassist around today. He has performed on literally thousands of recordings. A true legend!

  • is the bass player with the beard the one that was with phil collins and genesis live?

  • where can i find isolation from falling in between live??

    that`s rocking stuff m8s...

  • Now we know what Dumbledore does in his spare time :D

  • Dude...dude

  • Yessss

  • 5:04 - 8:29 THE BEST PART ! OH MY GOD !

  • Comment removed

  • there are an effects on the voice?

  • Who's on drums? Jeff Porcaro had been passed away by then?

  • @vzlanod simon phillips

  • jesus has also appeared in this amazing song (1:35) :P

  • what a lovely feel to the start of this........mmmm class band, class musicians, no more to say.........................except thanks.

  • Not quite a year since she went away... Rosanna yeah

Now she's gone and I have to say

Meet you all the way... meet you all the way... Rosanna yeah!! :-)

  • Father Time plays a mean bass!

  • The breakdown starts with a variation of Dixie Chicken. However, at the 5:50 mark, it is, without a doubt, Birdland.

  • Everything about this is badass!! I am actually shocked someone put so much productive quality into this. I personaly think its deservingjust blown away it happened!@@@@

  • po prostu są zajebiści:)

  • im a 90's baby. i just found out this band. they were so good. im so thankful for my great taste in music. i hate todays mainstream hits.

  • What??? Steve really does run the show. something to beleive in fore sure

  • Is that autotune i'm hearing?

  • @IMelkor42 sadly yes :/

  • @IMelkor42 No, just people who are actually able to sing. Not like Justin Bieber who sings with autotune or the other "artists".

  • @Yarach

Listen from 0:50 and tell me there's nothing being done to his voice there...

  • @IMelkor42 Nothing in my opinion. It might be some spit in his mouth accumulating (happens to most people). But eventually we will never know. Autotune is getting so good you don't even hear it. Listen to today's songs.

  • @IMelkor42 Okay, i'll tell you. Theres nothing being done to his voice. He's also singing in a diffrend key from the normal CD, and an auto-tune program can't fix that.

  • @Yarach I'm 99 percent sure Bobby (and I guess all the others) has autotune on his voice. Yes, he is an excellent singer, as you can hear eg in "live in amsterdam" where he has no autotune. Just compare these two concerts and you'll hear the difference

  • @mkaali what a difference between the 2 concerts. Bobby is a great singer but a voice isn't something that improves with age.

  • @mkaali I'm not being picky or anything but it's not autotune. Autotune is something that corrects your pitch in real time and it sounds horrible and electornic. What you mean is "voice correction" which is done in the studio when the tracks are mixed.

  • @paice95 ok, thanks dude! you learn something new everyday :)

  • @paice95 No mate, it's autotune. It does sound electronic although I'm kinda liking the effect here. Autotune doesn't always have to sound bad, when used well, it has an excellent effect. They used it because one or two of the vocalists had some sort of throat infection or cold.

  • @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 Steve Lukather and Bobby Kimball ;)

  • @mkaali there is a huge difference in performances when they are on wedges verses in ears its worse when they played smaller venues its hard to get the wedges over the stage and you cant have good pitch if you cant hear

  • I cant listen to this song loud enough!!!

  • Is it my imagination or is LeeLand playing a Dingwall bass guitar made in saskatchewan canada?

  • Thats Leland Stklar who holds down the bas!

  • buenisimo !!!!

  • Thats not ZZ Tops bass player Dusty Hill. That is James Taylor player.

  • 4:00 nice little level adjust :D

  • Autotune on this disappoints me :(

  • @AdamDallas is it really auto-tune :'(

  • @HalfGermanBeats93 Yeah unfortunately so, it's really obvious, there's no slides between notes, it just snaps straight to the next note! Sounds awful, I wonder how they let this go through!

  • GREAT GUITAR SOUND !

  • Love how they get lost in the jam!!!

  • Rosanna meets Birdland.

  • 2:20 - Damn.

  • HO! LEE! SHIT!

  • my god

  • I didnt think it was possible for THEM to be better live than in studio, like none of them missed a note. Blown Away.

  • @Chambers1202 this version for me ...it's better than the studio version...

  • 5:50 Birdland. :D

  • Jeff Porcaro's best shuffle ever!!!

  • Love it when bands start slow or mellow and kick it up part way through!

  • 22 people don't have speakers ;/

  • Saruman! :)

  • @unscared04 LMAO !!!!

  • That Birdland breakdown happens so organically. I love how it's just like "hey, are we doing this? okay let's do this. here's birdland!" Brilliant.

  • why does bobby kimball sounds weird? is that the reason why they replaced him with Joseph Williams? :D

  • @SecretYoungLink007 its auto tune apparently toto thought he lost his "singing voice"

  • @SecretYoungLink007 well the biggest reason is that Luke wanted Joseph back (wich is great) and also because Bobby's voice after 2003 is bad!!!!

  • Something is weird and off key here

  • BADASS drumming

THIS ladies and gentleman is pure precision...like a swiss clock! epic

  • Aparte de ser una excelente banda, ...son un gran equipo.

  • this is pure perfection and if someone dosnt agree with this means that you guys deserve avril lavrigne and tokyo hotel...

  • Ahi sta el jefe DIEGO!!!!!!!!!! jajajajajajajajjaja

  • OMG!! Gandalf is not only a wizard but also an excellent bassist!

  • god in the bass

  • Love Greg's keyboard solo.

  • The bass player from ZZ Top got on the wrong tour bus.

  • @WayneStandsUp rotfl

  • @WayneStandsUp LOL! In case you didn't know, it's Leland Sklar, the Dan Huff of studio bass players. He's everywhere, and with good reason!

  • @WayneStandsUp That's Leland Sklar...

  • @Doomshammer71 its a joke, the lead singer from zz topp has a long beard, so does he

  • @WayneStandsUp HJe is a quirp that shows up in many vidoes..

  • @WayneStandsUp That's Leeland Sklaar...you're a douche.

  • Go go toto go!

  • Absolute brilliance !!!!

  • TOTO FOR PRESIDENT!

  • @magnushelliesen dumb ass. LOL

  • press 8 for THE expression that sums up this song.

  • The song was bettr the way it was before... I hate it when artists try & do fancy shit to their hits. It's a hit cuz of the way it sounded when it was recorded

  • @sxymelissannt are you mental? It sounds amazing either way, and besides, they go into original anyway so what's the problem. Do you have a problem with them playing "Birdland" in the breakdown? That wasn't the orignal breakdown anyway.

  • @sxymelissannt

If you hate it when artists try and do fancy shit to their hits, I suggest you fuck off to your bedroom and listen to the studio version over and over until your ears bleed. Dickhead. Improvisation is what makes music great. And morons like your good self are slowly killing the music industry by not realising and appreciating this.

  • @npeg76. I usually don't agree with someone who blatantly insults another person with foul language, but in this one particular instance I'm gonna have to whole-heartedly agree with you. Next time, just try and get your point across "cleaner" :)

  • @thisischavez

Didn't quite have the same ring without the profanities. I agree, I could have toned it down a little though! :-)

  • @npeg76

    Well said :D

  • @npeg76 GOOD JOB

  • It's not Watermelon Man at 5:48, it's Birdland by Weather Report.

  • @4ndyhagon

I know..I can't believe I messed that up. Played both songs enough times to get them confused. :)

  • @4ndyhagon Totally wrong. It's an outtake from "Dixie Chicken" on Little Feat's _Waiting for Columbus_. Has nothing to do with that track by WR.

  • 2:00 Gandalf on bass

  • Comment removed

  • unbelievable... this arrangement in the beginning is amazing... <3

  • don't know if you guys noticed but his voice has always been like that, you hear it when you listen to studio versions of songs. and the singers back then could really have singed unlike today

  • Comment removed

  • Great clip! Steve looks totally like he ought to be making pizza's on some Chicago side street.

  • maybe he's using autotune maybe not... but if he is indeed using the effect, it's way better than rebecca black...

  • don't know how someone can complain about voice sound in 320p. WTF?

(For sure now everyone will admit they watched it in 720p... STFU!)

Only a comment. EARgasm. Hell yeah!

  • autotune = sounds better. what the hell are you complaining about

  • @MorrisonEnterprise It sounds awful after 0:48

  • What's with the auto-tune comments? I've got an great ear, but don't hear how it's being used?

Example? Like something you think he f'd up on, but didn't?

  • @mandingo9999998 It's really bad after 0:48. Listen to the metallic voice. It's a real shame. And he didn't fuck it up in the firstplace I guess. It may also be that they only added autotune for the DVD.

  • @webbrov

So auto-tune can be used...sparingly? It's not all-or-nothing like that synth, robotic stuff you hear in crap pop music lately?

I have a whole truckload of effects for my guitar and keyboards so know what chorus, reverb, pitch shifting sounds like .... I just don't hear anything 'extra' on his voice at :48. Is it just being done really subtlety?

  • @mandingo9999998 Yes, it's not all-or-nothing. Don't you hear that strange metallic tone at 0:48 and how the tones he sing are very straight.

  • @webbrov I do... and don't.

Guess I need something to compare against, like a vid he's not using it. Nothing to compare too.

  • Bobby.....I love his voice!!!!!!!!

  • OMFG!!!!! OMFG!!!!! Awesome!!!!

  • Suddenly Birdland!

  • all kidding asside ...

great band as always, great show, great musicians all

they may be looked at by some as a pop band for the simple sense of the word, but they are a true jazz/rock band by heart

  • ZZToto? lol

that keyboardest looks like that guy that works for Conan Obrien

  • FUCKING AUTOTUNE!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • unbelievable! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

  • Love the Weather Report - Birdland jam. <3

  • unbelievable is the only word that comes to mind

  • the bassist is looking funny but he will beat the hell out of you at guitar hero ^.^

  • a mythic drummer with a mythic bassist playing with a mythic band for have a mythic moment !!!

    TOTO 4EVER !!!

  • Yeah, the Birdland Jam!!!

  • 3:11 head bangin' lee

  • Didn't know Father time was in Toto

  • 0:48 He's cool!

  • Checked out other versions on youtube with the same guy on vocals. on this vid he's hitting the notes :-) besides the orginal bass player, Lee Sklar is playing this with the most ease and confidence of others that I have seen on video.

  • with that beard the bass player could be the next member of ZZTop

  • 5:04 Coooooool!!

  • master shuffle!!!

  • Thy Shall not Bass XD

  • @SynthieFreak : It's a live !

  • @chatdu68 I know that it's live, but today it's easy to use audio plug-ins in a live show. Most mixing consoles are digital today (They're Computers). So nothing would be easier than using Auto-Tune or any Pitch correction while a live show. And this really sounds like Auto-Tune working on his voice.

  • There's a strange pitch at 0:47 - 1:00

I'm sorry guys , but that sound exactly like Audio-Tune.

  • @SynthieFreak na its called hitting the higher harmoy for it .. its easy to do

  • @smexi0jared

He has auto-tune, face the fact

  • @SynthieFreak nothin better to do than looking for marginal things. Its a great song performes ba a great band. Even if there is used technical help. SynthieFreak - sounds like just beeing able to make music only with computers.

  • @siebensaiter I know that it's a great band and like theire music. I just think that it´s embarrassing when a band sounds like they use these gadgets. In my oppinion those guys are great musicians, but it looses a lot of the magic the music gives.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Kobe Bryant on the keys. A round of applause please.

  • Love the Birdland reference in there. :)
