@caoimhin1111 I know I can be a bit too pro union but when I see the venom being written on here by the republican movement I have to write back. I never agreed to war in Iraq or Afghanistan, these were masterminded by Blair and Bush. In many ways I wish the UK could remain neutral in these wars like Ireland does, after all these wars have very little to do with UK security issues.

I'm a Republican purely because I LOVE my Country. Pearse and Connolly would turn in their graves at some so-called 'Republicans' today. Ulster Unionists are as much a part of Ireland as I am.

I'm not "dissing" Bobby at all... but he was not a real active IRA member......... he just happened to be the first one to die on the hunger strike.There were others much braver........ well who am I to tell you that?............ I tried it............ but it was'nt for me. Cage 7

Bobby Sands was arrested for a fire arms charge and jailed. he was arrested while he was the OC of the west belfast while he was living in twinbrook in the colin area.... ffs he was an active member while still inside how do you think he was able to get word out so quick and well. and its not that he was the first to die, he was the first to go on it and the one who called the strike now stop being a complete eejit
