@kumquatsta check out fujifilm s series. There are some cool cameras like my s6500fd but its a discontinued model so there should be some new stuff

when i open the cam olympus sp-565uz the display says zoom error then it turns off....

Yes, if you set the digital zoom on but since it is digital, what u r doing is simply cropping the image with the known loss of pix quality (the lenses are still)

you need to go into the camera menu and manually turn on the mic and you need to have the camera too the zoom desired because zoom is not available during recording.

i've reccently bought this camera, but when i take video's with it it records no sounds with the vids :(

Well I bought this camera because of the zoom and all the reviews I saw from people who had already bought it.

The 20x zoom is really awesome if u r into nature photography because it allows you to click some amazing shot from far away without disturbing the subjects.

Also its great for extremely close range photography without disturbing the natural light by being to close .....

I am getting mine on the Monday .... Cant stop dreaming about it!!!!!!

Hey people i narrowed it down to 2 cameras the olympus sp 565 or canon s5 and i know canon only has 12x but im want best features and better image image quality so please what do u thinks best?

In my opinion, Olympus has the best quality and the pictures turn out really well, the rest of the world just hasn't caught on...If you have not made your decsion yet...I should be getting the sp565 in a week and I could tell you bout it :)

The Sp-570 has a hot shoe and a manual focus ring. The 565 is a slight step down. It will use a remote flash and has manual focus, but the focus is difficult to use.
