i have a 1997 1500 ram witha 5.9 360cbi engine also have a k&n 5inch cool air intake msd super coil wires and distributer e3 plugs everything runs on locus or royal purple flowtech headers edlebrock heads holly universal 4bbl throttle body edlebrock rpm intake manifold a tranny from monster transmissions im putting out a good 700hp with about 456 pounds of torque awsome truck mopar all the way

@sideburns2009 Look at it this way, which is more important to you? Your life, or, 40 miles to the gallon? Personally, I would rather economize elsewhere to help pay for gasolinw. Cars that get that kind of mileage, are total "Death Traps.".

@packardnut You should compare crash test vids for this model Ram and compare them to any given eco car like a toyota corolla or honda civic. The Corolla and Civic and hundred's of time's safer, actually. Smaller car's and 4 cylinder engines don't automatically equal an unsafe car. This truck isn't the safest, but does hold up better than the comparable model Ford F-150...now that truck is a definite death trap.

i have a 99 dodge 1500 its blue with tinted tail lights, flowmasters, jet chip, cold air intake, air scoop, headers, 2" lift, 33 in mudders. Its a great truck but mine has a litttle rust on the bed and back bumper, but after summer ill have that all fixed and repainted blue. Its a 5.2 liter and can out pull my bros 97 5.8 liter f250

i got a 1998 dodge 2500 v8 360 5.9L and the air intake in trucks give it power but what matters most in trucks is the tork i had my trucks transmission and trans case rebuilt by a 4x4 shop and now both trans case and transmission are for a 1 ton truck and my truck is quarter ton truck and ever since i got the 1 ton trans case and transmission its bad ass my buddy tought he was all big and bad with his 02 ford f250 6.0L powerstroke so we hooked um up and my 1 ton trans smoked em

@beekman95 i call bs. to begin with there was no 6.0 in '02, you have 330 lbs/ft of torque and he had 560 ft/lbs torque, (if it was even a 6.0) so you def lost in the torque aspect. he has 325 hp and you have 230 hp. and having a 1 ton trans wont make your truck anymore powerful as you claim just more durable... he also weighs more, so unless you have some serious meats and he lost traction. no way

intakes don't help fuel. they let more air in quicker, more air means more gas mixed with it....which equals more power. throttle response was much better and it pulls harder over 3000RPM. The sound it makes alone is worth it though.

I'm guessing you're talking about the intake. It definitely made the engine louder, and as with most intakes they will give your exhaust a deeper tone. The exhaust does have a nice rumble to it to be stock. The intake sounds GREAT. I need to make a new vid with my good camera.

Nice, but it looks like you did 0-60 in 10 seconds ? My 5.2l (318) does it in 9.5. Are you running off road tires and wheels? that could be the difference

no it wasn't completly floored i dont think. the rug tends to scoot back under the pedal and it doesnt let u push it down all the way.I didn't really get a good chance to open it up anyway.
