This is not the Mexico team that the United States beat in 2007 at the Gold Cup. It's not even the one that they faced in Gold Cup qualifying. Those teams had rotating platoons all over the pitch, especially at striker. Javier Hernandez is far and away better than any striker that Mexico has had between now and the prime of Jared Borgetti. Andres Guardado was always injured. Giovani dos Santos couldn't get playing time with his clubs. The back line and goalie switched around all the time.

Would you like to comment on the performance of your "MNT" in South Africa? Didn't they get humiliated by Italy, Beaten down by Brazil, and some how got lucky against Egypt. They did just enough to get by the group stage. Yes, they played a smart game against Spain, but not a good game by any means; only to show how good they really are against Brazil. mexico got lucky @ the azteca, even u know. the goal by castro was lucky as is hit the post then went in, and of course, the great run by juarez, then the ball lands right at sabah's feet, and he scored. all im saying is, is that, that wont happen every game, so mexico shouldnt be relying on lucky plays or when another team makes a mistake cuz it wont happen every game.

its not that he knows how to run the team...its the fact that we finally got all our squad together..we were playing players that never have played on el tri...aguire has helped us...but because we have our stars back and together...mexico is going to put a good show at the world cup..this team is unbelievable and amazing

Excuses! There was not much smog cause the rain cleared it, some Mexican players don't play in high altitude and they did just fine, goal differential compared to columbus doesn't bother us cause we just needed the 3 points obviously cause we aint so great. Why can't you guys just admit that you lost fair and square? We should also leave race behind, if you guys woulda played the Mexican in your squad he would've done alright.

Dos Santos also played for Ipswich Town last year because he couldn't get onto the field for Tottenham who sucked last year in the EPL, impressive by Gio. He'll get a lot better at Ipswich.... not. I'll give it to ya, Guardado is good but he is never, ever on the field because he is always hurt. And FYI, Dempsey is a gifted player and is getting better every year in England and don't forget Tim Howard. Probably the 4th best goalie in the world. I challenge you to name 5 better goalies.

@mosquizzz ...i did admire sanchez...good player...and van der saar is a legend, but he's a line-keeper; that is, a keeper that stays on the line for the shots...the others are great keepers because of the fullbacks in front of them...buffon's form is not always text-book, nor is casillas....howard, and some other unknowns, are better, in my opinion, if not equal...just my opinion as a keeper and keeper-coach

Would you like to comment on the performance of your "MNT" in South Africa? Didn't they get humiliated by Italy, Beaten down by Brazil, and some how got lucky against Egypt. They did just enough to get by the group stage. Yes, they played a smart game against Spain, but not a good game by any means; only to show how good they really are against Brazil. They had a 2 goal lead and let that lead slip away without even knowing what the hell hit them, by the time they realized it they were down 3-2.

And I wouldn't call 3-1 against the world champions "humiliation". Ill admit the first game against Brazil was a thorough thrashing, and we were lucky it was only 3-0.
