amazing band. been listening to a couple cd's of theirs for a while now. one somewhat stupid question: do you say the name of the band with the "th" as in the word "thin" or do you say it like you would an irish-gaelic spelled word (like "h" in "hat)? would love to know.
a bothy was a little cottage in the highlands (or where ever! ;) ) were usually the farm workers stayed. they would often jam and play music into the night as it was their only entertainment! :)
Anyone know what the last tune was called, I couldn't make out what he said, very nice tune, I'd like to find more versions of it, If anyone knows what it's called that would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Paddy Keenan once slept on my couch. Played my penny whistles, drank my booze and left. A perfect gentleman..... but what a shitty piper.
suschap 6 months ago
@suschap Yeah - he's the worst piper in the world - what booze do you keep by the way?

Probably my favourite folk band. "Old hag you have killed me" classic!
Others bands - Chieftains - Pentangle - Kathryn Tickell - The Trees.
Check out dirty linen by Fairport Convention there's some live versions on you tube - the studio version is also top!
