No it wasn't. Nelly and Chris wrote it together. They were jamming and came up with the concept together. The 'dogs were whistling a new tune' part would never come from Chris - Nelly's lyrics have always been very esoteric.

Actually, I'm in the minority apparently but I like the version WITHOUT Chris. No disrespect to Chris or anyone that likes this version but his voice is a little distracting in my opinion.
