I've got a Line 6 TonePort GX (the cheapest of the toneports) but I can't get a descent distortion sound from it. Clean sounds perfect on it. Got any tips for a good distortion sound on the toneport?

I want to buy a fender telecaster too, but I'm a musician, so I'm always poor. I guess I'll have to do with a squier.

But let's say I just play a year now and already got 3 guitars and 2 amps. And a wah :D

All cheap but descent stuff (squier, line 6, Dunlop ect...)

First I'm saving for a good distortion pedal, I think I'll buy an Electro Harmonics Metal Muff or Big Muff, or a Boss Metal Zone.

After that I need another electric guitar, the only electric which I now have is a $150 squier strat (which is descent, but not awesome). I'm thinking of a squier tele or some Ibanez with high output pickups for about $250-350.

But at the moment I don't even have money for a distortion pedal :(

So you put the 6 string on D, then you tune all the strings (including the 6 one) down one step :)

oh...well amp is not used in my video. I plug my guitar into a Sound Card (Fast Track Pro) to record with garage band.
