He wanted the triforce for power, and he succeeded, making life a living hell for everyone. Also his surrogate mother is a witch, so he should grow up evil. He cast a death curse on the Deku Tree, revived the Dodongo's to prevent the Gorons from mining the Bomb Flowers, infected Jabu-Jabu with the parasite Barinade, destroyed Hyrule Castle Town, revived Volvaga and was going to feed the Gorons to it as a show of the fate to those that defy him, made it an endless winter in Zora's Domain, freezing the Zoras under ice unless the source of the curse, Morpha, was destroyed. Now what do you think?

That was the concept. When they thought of making wind waker it was originally supposed to look like SSBM. Those kind of graphics, but they decided to think that over and go with the "Mu Lan" ish kind of look which really paid off.
man, i just beat ganondorf today first time in like year and i lost 12 hearts,guess i'm a little rusty :/ (i have beaten him by losing max 2 hearts, it's just that i haven't played this game a long time).
The Wind Waker final boss was such bullshit! Puppets? Didn't we already fight bullshit like that in Majora's Mask? Then you had to grapple your way up to the roof; it not only killed the sense of excitement, but it was also tedious as hell.
And the final battle with Ganondorf had Link dancing around waiting for Zelda to fling her stupid arrows (Link has his own Light Arrows, bitch!).
Now the boss from Ocarina of Time had it all. Excitement, thrills, amazingly dark visuals, and satisfaction.
You should try Twilight Princess next. It's a little bit more difficult than WindWaker, but you should be able to beat it by 2012 if you improve your skills a lot from this video.

Also, I don't think this Link is a descendant of the Hero of Time. Zelda erased Link from the adult timeline in OoT when she sent him back to his childhood, so he wouldn't have descendants in this version of Hyrule. There is a chance that TP Link is descended from him, but this Link is probably unrelated to him in any way. He just happens to look a lot like the Hero of Time. XD You are right though, the King is not Link's father, he's Zelda's ancestor.

There were 3 things that ALWAYS bother me when I play this game
1. The number of dungeons is too small. They should of done what they did in ALttP and make 2 worlds, above and below the water. And the re-awaken the power of the master sword you have to beat the 5-6 sage temples
2. Earth and Wind Sages appear out of nowhere
3. King of Hyrule decided he would rather see the kids try and find a new land rather than give them the perfectly good Hyrule under the waves already
There are 7 dungeons if you include going to the Forsaken Fortress twice. Plus, there is the hunt for the Triforce shards. The amount of time it takes to do that is equevalent to the amount of time it takes to beat 2 dungeons.
it took me forever to remember that training you got back on onset island so everytime when i saw the A flash i didnt know why zelda was contacting me with the stone at a time like that especially since she was right there lol

There were 3 things that ALWAYS bother me when I play this game
1. The number of dungeons is too small. They should of done what they did in ALttP and make 2 worlds, above and below the water. And the re-awaken the power of the master sword you have to beat the 5-6 sage temples
2. Earth and Wind Sages appear out of nowhere
3. King of Hyrule decided he would rather see the kids try and find a new land rather than give them the perfectly good Hyrule under the waves already

There are 7 dungeons if you include going to the Forsaken Fortress twice. Plus, there is the hunt for the Triforce shards. The amount of time it takes to do that is equevalent to the amount of time it takes to beat 2 dungeons.
