Just as i walked through the exit. GLaDOS said "Don't take anything with you."

I jumped for a chance to take my cube through. I coudn't find a way. so i stared at it for a good 2 minutes, turned away. (a tear was really in my eye) and walked to the elevator humming the tune sadly.

@Transformice9 Actually, you can take it with you, and theirs an achievement for it. To get your companion cube up there, There are white panels on past where the Grill should be. Shoot a portal there, grab your companion cube, and put a portal anywhere else and go through. :)
