do you play six string? you seem like a bassist who could use that higher C and play that bass like Coltrane plays the sax..... your lines definitely sound like you got that jazz influence...

5 string on a 6 string body...BSR 2002 i believe and it is fretted. I played it a couple times but not the way JK does it....

That's not a 6 string body it's the vintage body shape. it's an option upon ordering the BT series. The full old school vibe vs the anniversary model that has a BSR top wing and a BT bottom wing vs asymmetry

Good! Remember the Loudest Note is no note at all! Use a bit more space. Create some tension by holding back abit! Like the use of double stops in the flurry of notes. Build the solo-don't blow your wad, from note one!

How different is freestyle compared to fretless? Why are youll saying fretless?

Freestyle is the form in which he manipulates the fretboard without a pre-concieved notion to where he is going in his solo. Fretless to my understanding is the attribute to where there are no frets placed unto the fretboard. The fingering side of the board is solid as well as plain in it's whole & half steps....no visible indicators...!!
