Both performances have their merits, but I'm going to have to side with Jun Fukuyama on this one. It's a little distracting hearing JYB on Lelouch...simply because it's JYB. He's everywhere. On this scene, they're about equal on the acting, so...uh...yeah.

I think both of them are good, but imo Jun's voice is a little bit too deep for a guy like Lelouch. His voice is only really good as Zero. Johnny's however is awesome both way. I especially like his laugh in ep23 in the first season. Maniac and cool.

Understanding the character Lelouch is a hard task and only someone as talented as Jun and Johnny could pull it off in their own language respectively. Lelouch's way of speaking, more often than not requires a lot of emotion based on what happens and at the same time must always have a hint of sorrow, pain and anger all in one so in a way, he's very difficult to capture.

I personally think both voice actors do justice and sound pretty close which is good cause it makes it seem like lelouch keeps the same voice.

Good thing it wasnt like those spanish movie dubs where the voices are Waaaaaay off...

Jun's is more dramatic because of his deep tone of voice. Where as Johnny's convey's a bit more of Lelouch's desperate, anger in this scene.

Coming from someone who has only seen the dubbed i'd say japanese one does give just a little bit more emotion, could be the language itself thats the cause of it but nonetheless, JYB did a very fine job as Lelouch.

You're crazy, I think Johnny added a lot of emotion to the character of Lelouch during this scene; he does a fantastic job as a voice actor considering the restrictions placed on voice actors/actresses, i.e. lip flaps and other factors like that.

@LasgalenOsten Pronouncing sounds weird, it sounds more forced and has no impact. What i mean by "forced" is that engish voice actors doesnt really get into character, it sounds like they are just reading the lines.

english version is alot more better , only cuz this anime's voice actors did an INCREDIBLE JOB in choosin the right voice actors for the characters , well most anyways . But don't get me wrong , Original version is really great to , overall this anime series was lucky to get excellent fitting voices for both laungages !
