  • Cool peavey speakers. What cd players are u using? I'm 10 so I'm limited by pocket money.

    DJ CHRIS

    MoonGazer entertainment

  • first of all u have alot of balls im a real dj not like some of those fucken haters keep practising if u love music u will b a great dj learn from your mistakes and keep at it b creative good job brotha.

  • I just started djing with technics sl-1200 and im 16 , my friends knew about me djing, they asked if i wanted to dj at there house party.. It was fun, got alot of ass ill tell ya! Lol

  • hey not bad for a starter

  • dj equipment is not cheap. keep up the good job. my advice check out greig list for use equipment. i wish i had done that before i bought new stuff.

  • Great Job for a first gig! The ladies enjoyed it, too LOL:). Great setup.... back when i first started, I had a little 250 watt P.A., and I was rockin' iTunes (yeah, LOL) off an old dell laptop. Keep with it man, and don't let the haters get to ya. There just picking a fight to try to prove that there better, but a good dj should be one who helps other dj, not critizise them.

  • keep up the good work! what is the main goal of djing? making people have a good time! not for your azz too leave the party thinking, im the shyt with my cdjs but people at the party saying, "that dj was wacckkk".

  • wow, that was kinda ghetto. Get your build on.

  • Ehm... Im 14 and Even i have a nice set of cdj400's in my room so...

  • Yeah, leave the kid alone! He is young, so he can't afford too much now.

But, he does have the ladies around him... So, he wins in my book.

  • @Site4Animation agreed with meh!

  • u gotta start sumwhere, thats great, i started djing with a hifi system so that alot better than what i started with!!!

  • that chubby kid must be asking for some hyphy music.

i think all djs hate it when people come and ask for music that is not a crowd pleaser

  • better equipment does make a better dj.

comparing a ford car to a mercedez....better car is better ride.

anyways...keep it up. starting out is always hard..i been djing for 20 years from house parties to the big clubs and it takes time to understand which equipment works for you or not.

but a better dj is the dj that understands and knows how to work the equipment to it's full potential.

so keep practising and always keeping yourself up to date with what is the trend.

  • He's got the girls at his table diggn him and what not, that means satisfaction

  • @bigdogshreader

    i 2 am 15

  • yeah lights and fog machines and stuff are just a waste of money.. it's about the quality of sound.. i mean honestly just having virtualdj i think is good enough for me. as long as you develop a personality and an image, your equipment doesn't matter.. since it's hidden anyway

  • good job...all of us dj's started somewhere.. nobody was a pro at their very first gig...

  • sick i ive had to gigs and got 4 more with my friends

  • Well... is'nt it hard to beat mix, with the cdj's placed in that position?

  • Don't listen to all the haters. You got to start somewhere. Keep reinvesting in more gear. My first Dance I took my old home stereo and was running everything offf of tapes (I KNOW LAME), but it got the job done (of course that was 20 years ago lol). Now I got 10,000 of gear and still expanding.

I would just say when your expanding take baby steps, by something here and there. Thats How I have done it.

    Best of luck to ya

  • @jeffjams

i agree with you gotta work your way up, im using a combo of hi-fi home audio and a 15" peavey speaker me and my dad fixed up from the dump...im working my way up tho ive been djing for 2-3 years..im getting my first Power within the next two weeks.

  • Just ignore what all the hatres say... When I first started (age 12) I used a home theater amp and two old radioshack speakers- so, what i'm sayin, it was way worse than yours. And now (5 years l8r) i have anything i ever wanted- my own professional DJ Business doing at least one gig a week. Just learn to feel the type of crowd and b4 you no it, youll be havin more business and $ than u know what to do with

  • this good brother I am going to begin putting together my team of dj so I do not like your team is that you put the cd player down

  • man i started with 2 walkman cd players and my dads old pioneer turntables radio shack mixer and some 18 inch vegas i got for 250 from a family friend i started when i was 16 and still got called for many parties later got the big equipment and trailer just keep doing what u doing

  • It doesn't matter what kind of equipment you have, as long as you know how to use it, you have music, and some speakers along with a power source, your golden!

I'm 15 going to be 16 soon and I've been DJ'ing for 2 years now and learned the ways of other DJ's and they all either started out with something small and got bigger equipment or got something big (like I did & I still don't know how to use it fully).

Keep practicing and eventually you'll make it!

    -DJ Unknown

  • Fuck all these haters keep doing your thing and don't let these dumb ass comments discourage you. Practice your blends & beat matching and you'll be ok. If you need help with something hit me up.

  • dude, theres no one dancing even close to you,, quit if u can

  • Hey bro, avoid all the haters and just take this fuckin video DOWN! Why the hell do you still have it up? Do you like the humiliation?

  • well I got a pair of 800 mk2's and a rane ttm 57 sl.... but, better equipment doesn't make a better DJ

  • @JesusIsMyHomeDogg hahahahahaha very true... you can rock 2 tape decks and be a better dj than most people

  • @MrModdafokka

Stop being such a dick, not everyone has the money to get good shit , I remember when I started out as new mobile DJ I had Hi-fi speakers with crappy shit and now am all with JBL pa system and moving heads.

    Learn before you talk.

  • @MrModdafokka yo badboy, let him be. Saying fuck in every sentence doesn't make you tough. Get a life and fuck off.

  • @MrModdafokka This is probably the greatest comment i've ever read. I need to go buy some fricken 5-way speekas and a pioneer mk.3

  • To the alls dude with a rotten and nuisance comments FUCK YOU GUYS!!! at least this dude have shown some interest on Dj it's goes same to everyone esle on the first move to be a good DJ give this dude a space man.....i guess maybe you alls guys are jealous...or you guys are worst Dj.JesusIsMyHomeDogg keep it up i'm sure you be better than those bunch of fucker Dj who comments bad thing against you.

  • wat gives him the right? mate a fuckn pig could do better than u u had dual cd player, peavy speakers and fuck all else get decent equipment and some lights. no point in buying expensive stuff first so start practising.

being a dj is either something ur good at or nott good at so think r u good enough to be a dj

  • mate ur fuckn shite i'm like the same age now as u were wen u made that vid and am twice as good as u get some DECENT kit and then post another vid but the girls did seem to be into it

  • i hear you..this dude sucks!!! ha ha ha

  • This vids like two years old, he was first starting out at this time i belive.... POST NEW VIDEOS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • get some tables and a good mixer and setaro then u could sounds good

  • u kno wat home boii dnt give up keep reaching fo your hobby mann thatz how i waz but im a strong dj

  • Great start man! Looked like the ladies liked it too. lol. But I would agree, you should consider investing in at least a mixer. Great start though. Keep up the good work and check my vids some time

  • I have already purchased a RANE TTM 57 SL

  • what the fuck was that??

  • u need to invest in some more gear bro, good job tho, lights stands, lights, maybe a booth, i made my own booth (facade), but keep workin at it man you'll eventually get to where u wanna be. does ur player even have a mixer? may i recommend maybe the gemini cdm-3600 affordable and dependable, can plug anything from laptop, to ipod, plus cds.

  • I have purchased a pair of CDJ 800's

  • That's fucked.

  • it says I should subscribe......lmfao sorry dude. U should subscibe to ellaskins, he will teach you thro his tutorials...but as J always says "practise n enjoy" seriously subsribe to his channel...helpfull tips all around. dont give up!!get better...haha

  • antday this guy is shite

  • lol this poor guy trying to make a start in life spent all his cash on some gear and u fuck wits wanna bag him how about u be like 15 have a go with piss all money and get off him back

  • give up

  • And where are your videos Mr. High and Mghty?

  • dude u need a way better Dj System and fix your personality like the other person said

  • LoL, what's so bad about my personality?

  • Dude this was like 2 years ago, i doubt he dj's anymore cauz of the fkin negative comments.. I mean like im starting out with a laptop, he started out with cd decks... Respect the man, everyone starts somewhere.

  • u were the DJ? i mean you stood behind some cheap tables messing around with a double cd player :-/ i'd say u were the one who put the CDs into the player, but not the DJ!?

  • bra its all about looks and sound. ur sound is good its just u gotta talk to the crowd before choruses and wear ; sunnies, cap, a decent shirt. do all that before expecting ppl to like you

  • stop hating on the little gay is doing is shit hes just stering out live the dj alone fuck the haters

  • ummmm why would i subscribe to this look man there are so many things wrong with this first off you have people all over you if i was one of them i would like throw water on your shit on purpose for being so stupid and second try to get yourself some new equipment 3rd you need some lighting and a fog machine get yourself a package from guitarcenter they might be cheap but hey it will go with your gear haha no offense but seriously man be smart and get better at mixing

  • Thanks man! That comment was so helpful!

  • usually when I am doing gigs I make sure that people stay behind the table that way if any damage to the equipment is done it is not your fault. I am doing a sweet 16 this sat so I will put up a gig log for you to see what I do. also I have to agree with people here you do need some lights. other than that nice speakers, cd player and amp

  • Thanks Man!

  • you messed up you really need some lighting.. at least go to spencers and buy moonflowers

  • I agree that you need some lights, you should start with some basic sound-to-light fixtures, then after you have some more money, you can start buying automated DMX lighting

    otherwise, great job!

  • yeh thats how i started have only just got dmx lighting at start of this year i been in it 4 3 years

  • get some lights i have 6 smart scans 2 mojo spinmasters and 4 lazers and 4 par cans i sugest if you get lights bye 4 gvg scanners and then start bulding on top of that good luck dj split

  • get some light

  • cool gig! i´m 13 too and i am a very big DJ

next time try to do it with a laptop

  • i started with 2 cdjs and 2 eons a djm 707

but ur setup is cool too lol

  • Awesome !! looked like fun

  • Ehh you need some headphones so you can beatmix.

If you are good at beatmixing, you are a godd dj!

    Practise!

  • Stay on your shit.

    nicejob

  • we all started small, keep it up, your starting alot better than alot of us, i started Dj'ing 15 years ago In NYC, i started with one 1200, one gemini mixer, and a pair of my moms home stereo speakers that were sony..lol... so for you to be working with a dual cd player and peavey's, thats not bad at all for starters, keep it up, upgrade as you go or should i say as you grow.... best of luck from one DJ to another..

  • Sounds like you're off to a good start. Keep the videos coming!

  • hay dude...how old are you?

    first ever? nice

check out my first ever gig,its on my page!

  • If you cant get a slant case put your case facing up so you have better control on the CD player, see if you can get a longer mixer to rack mount it. good luck

  • buy yourself a slant rack case so you mount your mixer and cd player facing up..Will be alot easier on your back..And later on in life that will be important.

  • You don't know how good I can realate to that. I dunno if it's the same for you but i always had chicks asking me to play song after song (DONT). and u might wanna get lights before you upgrade ur stuff into the high brandnames cause i have never seen a party where there's just a great dj and a plain light (ebay and that stuff would be smart since low price but still same light)

  • buying lights and smoke machone are an extreme waste of money, what you want is good gear (pioneer) to practice with and become a good dj, THEN when u go to an event to spin infront of people, u can rent lights/lasers/smoke machines for one night, it comes to literally 20$, so in my opinion, save ur money dont spend it on useless shit. be smart, dont be a retard

  • Keep it up Bro i was 13 when i started too. now im 15 and DJ for all kinds of schools around the state. talk to your princible about hiring you to DJ the Dances

  • but well try to buy good brand names that can help u when u have a outside party or maybe a hall party u never know where u gonna end up playing when ur a mobile dj(like myself)and also that can last long maybe is just me but i hope it works so keep practicing and enjoy what u do maybe one of this days i would like to see another gig of you or maybe just practicing and mixing some music hehe dont pay atettion to the persons that say bad things or dont like ur equipment(always gonna happen):)

  • Thanks again man! Well said! Right now I am int eh process of buying some CDJ 800's, the RANE TTM 57 SL mixer, and a coffin case to put it all in. I need about $3000, and I 've got about $2100 saved up, so hopefully by spring!

    Thanks bro

  • good job man i was nervous at my first gig hehe and didnt knew what song to put i had an idea first but since i was nervous didnt know what to say and also i didnt talk at all well i do know lol but yeah start with the ordinary and then go up maybe slow but ull get what u want but well one thing another dj told me is buy things that u can use for long time and also make some noise and then maybe a good mixer,cd players,a bigger speaker and amp, crossover maybe some lights but good job

  • Thanks!

  • great job, i started with a 50 watt amp and a lot of free gigs. now i use 3000 watts of amps and make 400 to 500 dollars a party but it took a lot of practice talking, and playing the right songs. keep up the good work, good luck.

  • thanks bro, much appreciated

  • For 13 hes pretty sweet! give some credz folks... You gotta get some lights+lessons tho, then you'd be friggin amazing!

  • SHIT!!! GET SOME LESSONS LOL

  • FUCK YOU

  • HLIUGTLGFLKJGLKGLKJG

  • to all the stupid people that are hating on this kids dj skills should just not comment on his videos at all...if u hate him dont comment him its just a waste of every ones time, including yours, dont judge the kid just becuz u dont see him mixing or doing all that crap just let him do his thing n if u do it better post a video n prove it

  • then let other people decide if they like you

  • Well said! total props to jdub1023

  • hey at longest he plays good songs and he is just starting thats the way everyone start ibet you did the same way or probably you dont dj at all dont get but hurt but yeah dont be mad he is a beginer

  • ummmm.. i appreciate the advice but I'm only 15 and don;t have any aspirations of DJing in clubs.

    thanx,

    Chris

  • Ha far play m8 ya got a few chicks der at da end =P hahahahaha.....

  • where the headphones?? cds suck i hate djing with cds i use my laptop with VIRTUAL DJ now mp3s are better

  • r u serious? ud rather use virtual dj than pioneer cdj 1000MK III??

  • ill use anything to mix i was just telling ol boy to keep it simple and on beat

  • wut do u mean on beat?? he doest even have a mixer? he just has two cd players "mobile dj" that have pitch control! which is pretty fucking useless when u dont have a mixer!!

  • stop hating everybody starts small

  • his an idiot dont know how to do shit

  • I hope to be posting some new vids, I've just been so busy!

  • damn u were getting some love back there lol. im barely starting out too...i need lights and maybe a sub. good job though

  • My first DJ Gig was just last weekend.. Went well although I think I was a little on edge. Everyone said I did a great job so whatever. anyway its like having control of the whole party isn't it? Gotta love it!

  • Exactly! I was always the class clown in school. I always wanted attention. So I guess thats one of the reasons I like DJing so much.

  • Hence why your probably a shit DJ.

  • What gives you the right to judge me on my perfomance? Because you've seen a minute of my performance in one of my videos?

  • Nice Place to start! Mikey Mike

  • Thanks Man! You have been putting up some great videos! Thwy are so proffessional and well done, I am sure they reflect your business well! You also have a ton of good ideas!

  • Thanks Keep it up you will go far!!!!!!!!!! Mikey Mike

  • I've done a ton of gigs since then, I just don;t have time to do gig logs... I really want to get some up soon though.

  • Congradualtions! You win the ward for most educated and sane person to comment on this video!

My parents didn't buy me anything (cept 4 the cd player), I worked hard to get here and I;m damn proudcof it... I almost got enough money to get some upgrades. Denon mixer mixer, slant top rack, and a software controller for my laptop.

    New vids comming soon!

  • shit hole my cat is better

  • yo i like your set up but there are something that you are missing. like ur head phones and thins like that but i liek your pa set up

  • keep on doing wgat you do

  • ahhhh peavy shit

    lord save my eyes

    arrrrr

  • Peavey weren't my prefernce, but then a good deal came along and I went with them.

  • ur shit man das not dj-ing wers de passion while playin de music like and sure u cud use a fuckin cd player de way ur doin it get a proper setup and mix de songs and stop wastin ppls time wi dis shit

  • Thanks for letting me know that people are really appreciating my videos and system :P

  • nice dude i starded when i was 13 with home speakers dude but ya im 17 now and ya i did the said inpossible if u love what u doing you wont stop till your the best keep it up

  • sorry dude, but you need a lot more practice before you take a gig.

  • Who are you to judge my abiltity to take a gig... all you see me doing is standing there.... how can you tell me I need more practice? If your so good at DJing why don't you post a video?

  • If you ever got any gigs you would know that people will always try to tell you what to do. Just because they were trying to tell me what to do dosen;t mean I was listening. Just because your a coward bedroo DJ dosen't mean you have to bassh the real DJs

  • if your so good why don't you just post a video....

  • If you want to get into this business as a profession, get in with someone who's been established, and knows the business. Learn about what works and what doesn't work. Then again it's all about trial and error. I've been in this business for 11 years and I'm still learning.

  • Ay HomeDogg Don't Listen to What They Say. You Do You, Keep Playing. People Love to Hate. Pratice Makes Perfect. B.T.W, Any Questions?? " Holla "

  • that is pretty awesome im just starting out djing 2!!! i do sound for rock concerts and theatrical performances so mssg me up if u have questions about sound reinforcement or my tricks..

  • nice set up one sugestion DO NOT LET PEOPLE PAW THROUGH YOUR CD'S they get stolen fast... very good keep it up im a dj and only 15 so your not the only one!

  • I been Djing since I was 18 my first gig was in a sunday pub then once IO got use to CD's tback in the 90's when they did not had Mp3's then I now stoped Djing since 2004. Now I hope to come back djing but all this Mp3 Tachloy is all new to me.

So been 13 using CD's or Mp3's is all well if you got the money and the skill to do it then dont listen to anyone all I say is go for it.

  • its all good homes it only get better wen u practice a shit load...

  • oh well a gig is a gig after all^^ just keep on oing and practicing and doing gigs for money so you can pimp out your rig x)

  • geeza that was PANTS!!!

  • your first time out there will be your biggest gig of them all. its like breaking in a new amp it get better with time.

  • YOU SUCK

  • thank you....

  • Must be horrible to have your Db. CD player in that position -.-'

  • it is, but I have a laptop now that I use to mix, so the cd player is just backup.

  • ur a faget wonna be fucken dj player u dumb fucken qunt ur a dead faget hope u tell u that dumb shit head bloods is the way to go and thoughts chicks are fucken uglyer then fucken hell and Y do u think ur s kool of how u think u can dj

  • Please comment in Youtube's Native Language. Why don't you go take an english? Then maybe I'll be able understand what you are trying to say

  • dog im telling ya.

you can have the blonde, brunettes mine

  • yo um... could you hook me up with those girls?

    ... seriously?

  • oh shit!!! what a nice girl......

  • Hang in there dude, that brings back a lot of memories when I started 25 years ago, best wishes to you

  • I totally agree with SKILLMIX, you should never even if capped liquids near your equipment. Ive also read some of the other comments, one in piticular about requests, Even if they are totally 100% stupid requests still play them if you can because its what the crowd wants to hear not what you like to play, If it was then you would be paying them to play there not them paying you. Other then that great vid and good luck djing:D

  • DJ RULE NO# 1. Never, ever, ever, ever, every place any liquids on or near your dj gear! I'm astonished that the DJ Tutors haven't done a video on Safety DJ Tips!

  • I don't see any harm in placing a capped water bottle near your gear...

  • nah dont do it dog, accidents happen!

  • Not bad at all. I agree with a post on your other vid...Peevey isn't bad, but moving up to 15" JBL or Mackie would help. A sub or two would give some better sound depth to your show too. Doing anything with lights yet? Keep it up, you're doing great!

  • dude i hate it when people ask a 1000 fucking questions wen ur djing my god i want to strangle them sometimes...

  • And there are the people who come up and ask for all the really crappy songs they can think of!

  • That is a problem when you play mainstream/pops. Kill 'em all with all requests =).

  • I know, i had i a gig that was just 5th and 6th graders and all they wanted to here was soulja boy.

  • i hope there wasnt any faggots telling you how to do your first gig in the background near 50 seconds of the video like i heard

  • 1:03 nice ass

  • If you like playin with a stack of bones.

  • nvm, i was having an "off" day

  • men i'm a mobile dj too i'm from venezuela and now i can say that i have a big thing. i just tell you, if you want to work better you need to take your cd player out of that rack and put and a table or something flat. first i'll give you more presence and thats good in this job and then you need to buy some lights but remember all comes in the right time take it easy and practice a lot. and find more music.

  • I played other music, I just didn't record it, in fact I'm djing a corporate party tonight!

  • xrobbyboix is rite dogg but member this it takes time u aint going to get it in 1 day but play want the people want to hear if they like it keep playing but u want to explore different types of music at a gig 2 dogg and then see how they will react to it so what if u dont have the gear u still make that crowed move rite and i'm only 16 at that and i love djing its the best just do what u got 2 do

  • ull find mate that people will pay twice as much for a record dj than a cd dj

the audience like to see you work. also your not a dj until you can mix just having the gear dont make u a dj. get some decks and a mixer then ull b able to use both cd players and turntables which is really pushing the boat out. you can get a good pair of technics of ebay for like 350-400 . when u can spin records ull know what its like to be a dj

  • do you even have decks??

  • WTF?? you don't need decks to be a mobile DJ... unless dual cd players count as decks... then I have decks.

  • the cd decks should be in a slanted position to make good mix. also when you are a dj you don't just play music you have to mix to

  • If you knew anything about music on an international level, you would know that the US prefers hip hop over the UK prefered house, trance and techno. Also I saw no signs of him appearing to be "hard".

  • ...which is a shame. We need to get into real club music not that shitty new school hip hop which you can't dance to cause its like 60 BPM and all of the songs sound exactly the same and none of them have the creativity not to use the TR-808!

  • If you break down some songs to their simple 4 or 8 beat counts, you really see how easy it is to lay hip hop tracks. Heck, if you listen close, some of the loops don't match up correctly! Hip Hop really does make it hard to mix music you can actually dance to. (really, whens the last time you saw a gangster rapper who can dance)

  • Mate u need some lights

  • Some day.... i hope!!!
