IF this false prophet 'causes' (can have legal connotations) everyone to receive a mark ('receive' has connotations of 'making an offer' to receive it - so it must be offered) then what remains to be seen is the circumstances under which the mark is 'offered'. I've read that the Vatican have already created the 10 world regions. I do not know if they each have a 'king' over them yet. I believe the Club of Rome was assigned task of creating these regions back in the 1960's. But I am not completely sure of my facts on this one. Revelation tells us the beasts mentor is the dragon or Satan, who gives him power, authority and a ruling throne (verses 2, 4). The dragon works behind the scenes through the beast, and he will not be mentioned much until chapter 20. But we know that he is the one who is responsible for leading the "whole world astray" (12:8). We can then define the beast from the sea or the Roman Empire as the agent of the dragon on earth which is exactly.. the antichrist

I think the one they will accept in John 5:43 will be the Pope and not a Jew. Last year the Pope was in Jerusalem worshiping God in the synagogue i can see what he is trying to do from a mile away. Ok, so the AC will be the political leader but then the false prophet will get the world to worhsip the AC so he must be more than just a political leader then right? And we know that he claims himself to be God (he's obviously deluded). So he must be seen a deity.
