  • Oh hell no my small towns drill team will never compare to this. Man, anyone got tips for when practicing.(general tips?)

  • got this at my highschool centennial in LV NV we are ranked number one in the nation 2 years running hoping to go back here in two weeks or so and take home a third but who knows

  • Pretty good... Timing was off in a few places... Would have liked to see more throws and a ring of fire or shifting triples

  • @Jew1shc0wb0y48 True, timing was off. Overall... A pretty good performance... Would have liked to see a footstop or maybe double windmills.

  • can't touch this... yea USMC ... they blow u away...

  • @ohgeewiz its US MMMM AAAA west point buddy not marines....

  • what i really love about this routine is how fast paced everything is, iv seen a lot of slow ass routines that bore me after the intro

  • Ah. I love exibition drill. We have it at our high school. Ranked 16th in the nation I believe. ;)

  • @desertboyzero ranked 2nd in the nation...get on my level :)

  • These guys are pretty good, you could hear the audience go ooh when they rifles flew up

  • whats the title of the song?

  • @LoverofAnime93 (uploader) "Go Hard Go Home" by Body Head Bangers

  • @majorgster TY ^^

  • whats the title of the song?

  • love the transitions and formation changes very nice gentlemen i just joined armed drill this year i hope the team we assembled posses the dedication to meet and exceede your performance wich will be quite a feat

  • Very cool. Our school is going to try and attempt some of the spins in this routine. Hopefully all goes well Oct 24.

  • look i think these guys are good but Norwich recks...and RearAdmeral? whats wrong with Texas JROTC we reck shop. i hope to attend norwich my rook year. Fierce pride

  • EXTREMELY impressive

    strength and honor

  • what happened to the old song? I want the name of it. There was no lyrics.

  • omg these guys are better than the silent drill platoon! seriously iv'e watched the other guys and they are nothing compared to this, they must have alot of disipline to get in there!

  • kickass

  • I bet the people on here complaining about our drill team aren't taking over 20 credit hours and working 18-22 hour days every day either. For as little time as these guys get to practice I think they're damn good.

  • Nice.. but nobody beats the Marines.

  • Semper Fi

  • Get outta here...

  • Go Army or go home

  • It's like a bot in Garry's Mod useing bot_mimic lol But 1 was off by a second a few times..

  • They need to be practicing their "React to an IED" drills....

  • Drill is awesome shut the fuck up.

  • wait this is a college team or was it just a college that the competition was at?

  • So smooth and clean. Awesome Drill, Im preparing for West Point, hoping to join a great team, a great Familiy.

  • oh my fucken god. this is one of the best drills i have ever seen.

  • ooh, and one more thing, you guys should become silent as well, it looks like crap when you have commands during an exhibition, thats something that USNA and USAFA do better, but TExas a&m has a shitload of commands + it looks like shit = shit team. But still you guys rock from all, its just that these details would make you invincible

  • I reallllllyyy wouldn't be trying to give advice to the second best drill team in the country. (Second to Norwich, of course.)

  • West Point probably could take down Norwich if they wanted to.

  • what are you talking about?

they do wanna take down norwich, thats why when they compete at cornell they only compete in trick, while norwich competes in every event, places in all of them and still comes in 1st at trick and beats west point every year so think again.

  • I know the History man, you don't need to be talking all big. I'm just saying though that West Point should step it up, they've tooken step downs trying to be more "Texas JROTC" like. As you can see clearly in this video, West Point did outstanding, and they Did beat Norwich at that time.

  • you guys are the best from all three academies and texas a&m, the only thing that you should look at is the anti-elegance of the cmdr using a rifle instead of a sword, and you should also incorporate some visual and sound effects like the USAFA honor guard does with their face delays and little details. You guys however are the best of all, and i used to be a USAFA hg fan. This routine is complex and dangerous and the most amazing thing is how precise and snappy the catches and spins are. gj!!!

  • At 7:09 the person on the right in the middle line with 3 ppl messed up

  • me and my 2 man drill partner saw well over 5 mistakes from one guy, second slow, ect.

  • Slowness can't be found as a mistake in a drill, it's most likely part of the D&C

  • This routine is such a great change from their somewhat stale past. Great job!

    DrillMaster

  • will NEVER get tired of watching this video.

  • These guys are the best

  • far from

  • u wish

  • haters...

  • major, these are just college kids?? OMG, I'd put them up against any service drill team!! They are magnificent!! =Stefan=

  • did any of these guys not have high school jrotc training?

  • my high school didn't have a trick drill team. there were a few people out there who didnt.

and they do the other events now, like regulation, etc.

  • theres a guy on the wrong foot at 1:52

    its kinda noticable

  • Haha I love the last still shot. You deserve some rest after that demonstration. Respect for defending this country and the world.

  • This competition needs more drill teams. It can't be a competition between Norwich and West Point (in exhibition) every year.

Speaking of which, why doesn't West Point ever compete in the Inspection, Regulation, Squad and/or Color Guard phases? Why just exhibition?

  • dumb ass no wonder your new, trick is used by oldschool drillers

  • its called exhibition, not trick. you sound like a dumbass. im only in jrotc and i know that much. huah west point! wish any luck ill be a new cadet this summer

  • Trick is a term used more on the East Coast, and I prefer it to exhibition. So know you're facts before coming out the mouth and calling someone a dumbass, champ.

  • yeah im new, then i guess youve got me. im on the east coast and ive never heard trick. either way though, i support the west point team and i was looking for a way to bash the dude who seems to think that hes superior to everyone. in the end its about producing good officers, not how good your drill team is.

  • Ive been in drill for the last 8 years and i've never heard "trick" used. Its exhibition.

  • Hey this is pretty good.....

but not as good as the Texas A&M Fish Drill Team.

  • Stupid Fish.

  • Comment removed

  • levisosa, drill temas dont make colleges. Yea I know what your all about. I looked there, but didnt bother applying. I wanted to go all the way and go through an actually u.s military academy

  • Going to a college just for its status makes you a shitty prospective student. If West Point takes a jerk like you, it's their loss. It doesn't matter whether an institution is a senior military college or a service academy. They're all here to make good officers and people on BOTH the Norwich Shock Platoon and the USMA Black Knights have mutual respect for one another. Therefore, they are aloud to exchange competitive banter, so stay out of it.

  • I went for many other reasons than that. Its kinda stupid that were bickering, no thanks to me. but anyways, usma is sick ass at drill.

  • i dont want to hear anything about norwich. get over yourselves, your not a military academy like use. stop acting like your hot shit

  • then the "black knights" need to step it up since there such hot shit and stop getting beat by college level ROTC's not even military colleges at that i.e. the 2007 corrnell drill meet... secondly have you ever been to Norwich? do you know what were about?

  • whats the name of the opening song?

  • major wats the song at the beginning

  • "Go Hard Go Home" by Body Head Bangers

  • what's the song?

  • norwich beats this :):):)

  • too bad Norwich is a lesser VMI, which is a lesser, Citadel which is a lesser West Point.

  • No they don't, that's why this was 1st Place.

  • yeah you know your scewed when you go agianst the west point drill team

  • yeah to bad they only competed in trick because the would have gotten there asses handed to them in everyother event... not to mention Norwich won the over all and beat them in trick every year before that...

  • OMG Incredable!

  • excellent. good to see the team is doing all right. texas influence, kings guard... some of our moves stayed intact too- tick tock, quesadilla, drop. love it.

    usma 95-99

  • USMA took 2nd in dual, in 2005 they took 1st.

  • Again, just ownage, pure and complete ownage. I wish you could buy that suff

  • Excellent. Well Done West Point!!!

  • Alex you are truly the shit. I LOVE watching this.

  • I like U.S marine

  • wow as a contrast to the Jolly Rogers i can defenitely see the texas influence in this routine

  • Marines know drill...all drill comps. are inspected by Marines...How'd my old school Norwich do?

  • Norwich...

    1st Place Overall, 1st Inspection, 1st Regulation, 2nd Exhibition, 1st Squad, 2nd Color Guard, and 1st & 2nd Two-Man Exhibition

Norwich Freshmen Platoon: 2nd Place Overall, 2nd Inspection, 2nd Regulation

West Point won clean in exhibition though.

  • Thanks man.

  • why are there 2 marines hovering around them?

  • wow that was awsome

  • lol the picture of the guy sleeping with the trophey is halarious :-P

  • Excelent job!

  • USMMA still won

  • great.. question. facsimile or m1903s?

  • We use M1903's.

  • ahh west point is still gay any ways go NAVY

  • Hoo-Yah, Im plannin on the Academy but im sorry to say that the Army has the Jolly Rodgers for right now

  • Gay? You mean Navy right?

  • that aint west point its the USMC silent drill platoon "the black knights"

  • your a dumbass, look at the uniforms, they're grey, not black, plus the CO says "United States Military Academy" i.e. west point....by the way badass

  • plus in the report in he says "..from west point, NY"

  • I enjoyed going against ya'll this yr. Now there's no excuse for either Norwich or ya'll to not turn up the heat. Tell that dual tm that took it last yr, that my brother and I enjoyed competing w/ em.

    NURDT '09

  • thats vicioussss. west point nice..

  • sweeeeeeeeeeet, that's West Point alright.

  • badass...outstanding West Point...college teams are finally stepping up

  • Its about time...
