  • ; <3 this song so much. it's me and my boyfriend's song :) i've heard this and the neil hannon version, and i actually prefer this one. upbeat, energetic...what's not to love?

  • This is beautiful, but I would so KILL to hear John Barrowman sing a version of this song!!!

  • Is this from Voyage of the Damed or End of time?

  • @democrat1515 Neither this was from the Runaway Bride.

  • Murray Gold is so amazing. He made these two great songs, for a flipping sci fi show? ....genius.

  • @laurencewho Get something in your head. Doctor Who is the best 'flipping sci-fi show' in existence. In fact, Doctor Who is the best thing EVER in existence.

He made more than two. in chronological order:

    Song For Ten

    Love Don't Roam

My Angel Put the Devil in Me

    The Stowaway

    Silence is All You Know

All of these made for Doctor Who. Five songs. Each for a series of Doctor Who. Let's hope for another this Christmas.

  • And yet again, I need some sheet music. :)

  • When was this concert? I love these songs.

  • It was at the Doctor Who: A Celebration from 2006. the concert is on the 3rd series boxset on the first disc :D

  • @MarkJoseph4 (twitter style response xD)

Thats true, but this song is funky!

  • the instruments are a bit shawty

  • Go uncle Gary!

  • sounds ALOT like "The Snake" by Al Wilson to me.

Could be a little bit suspect. =p

  • lovely jubbly......love this song!!! :D

  • I do too!!! It makes me think of me and my girl friend.

  • Why is the word "roam" in all the Doctor Who-songs?

Its not that common of a word is it? :P

  • Well he is a time traveller. :P

  • Well, one explanation is that the same writes the songs. And when he writes about Doctor Who the word roam come to his mind.

  • great song though, and i like both the singers to be honest.

  • love it

  • I love this song xD

  • Neil Hannon's version is love. But cut this guy some slack. He's not half bad. Anyway, I loved listening to the band perform it live.

  • The more I listen to this version, the more I appreciate the original. Gary Williams does a great job, but it's no where near the original.

Maybe it's just that his voice doesn't suit the music to me. It's too clean, too perky I suppose.

  • Ha that's weird, I never even noticed Neil Hannon wasn't singing! I thought it was him...hehe.

Gary's voice is a bit slow and drags out the vocals a bit to long..

  • He oversings.

  • I imagined him to have more hair and to be older when I heard this song...funny how the mind works..

  • I thought the same thing. Lol

  • this is no where near as good as the proper version.

  • i prefer the episode version

  • He's fantastic live.

Saying he's a crooner in style, this is really versatility.

  • I agree with everyone else, this song is good, but this guy is BORING, Neil Hannon's version is 10,000 times better

  • Neils singing for Song for Ten is TERRIBLE though.... I prefer Neil Hannon's version of Love Don't Roam also.

  • this guy sucks! he is so overrated

  • This is a good song but I don't like the way this man sings it! Sorry! I wanted to download it from itunes, but I heard him and I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

  • i totally agree! neil hannon sings it much better!!

  • How can I get his version?

  • probably off itunes or something like that

it was on the doctor who soundtrack cd as well

  • Oh i do love this version than the Neil guys version.

  • this guy has no energy in his voice, he's making this song put me to sleep

  • How on earth can you say that! This is a song which can wake me up in the morning. He has energy, soul and depth as well as the song being so catchythat you just have to stay awake to listen to it.

  • It's a good song imo but his voice doesn't suit it, or perhaps the arrangement doesn't suit his style. Something is not quite right. Just MO though!

  • tell me about it! i prefer the Neil Hannon version on the album - now THATS singing!!! :D

  • thats great- remember if your in the UK only tonight and tomorrow for you to download this from itunes for it to be included in the top 40 on sunday. join other who fans in this campaign
