How'd you get into this? Do you work at a zoo or is it just a hobby? Obviesely, you have experience and you work really well around animals and you seem like you have good knowledge on them. Keep up with this because you will make it far if this is what you want to do.

This is why i dont understand why you get people ranting on video comments about how much they hate snakes and love to see them suffer. Snakes are beautiful animals with incredible diversity between species and have been around for millions of years.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Thanks for the concern, but I assure you, we have years of experience in our reptile department. Pythons can coexist if things are done right. These particular pythons do well together so there is no reason to seperate them. Snakes are pretty mello when conditions are right, keep that in mind. Thanks for watching.

By the way, both these snakes are from Southeast Asia, not from different parts of the world like you stated. This is why they can be housed together.

What wrong info did he mention??? All he said was about right. Besides, housing a burm and a retic together can't be considered the "Oh My God you are nuts" mistake of snake keeping. It's just a situation that will require some supervision, especially at feeding time, but shouldn't be a major concern. Either you are too picky or a bit confused.

Im not conserned that he mistaked the retic for the burmese the problem is you got 2 different python species from different parts of the world in the same encloser. I hope you do realize that is wrong and when that retic gets bigger and if its a male it will kill other snakes in the cage or try.

Sence you work at a zoo you need to fix that problem and stop saying you made a mistake you made a very big mistake not only you but the zoo you work at for even owning these animals.

ya i got a ret tail to but now im getting a water monitor and a burm the 2 largest lizard in the world it can get up to 10 feet but average is 6-8 but it cost 150 so i gotta wait to get a burm and burms are pretty easy to care for its just the cost of feeding wich when its full grown all it needs is a rabbit every 2 weeks so its not that bad but monitors are way harder to care for all the stuff i gotta buy fot it uvb bask light and all that add up to 180 so ya

Geez, I'm getting so many people bashing me about the Retic comment in this video. Here's the scoop. On the cutaway shot I mention the snake on the camera is a Retic. The snake you see head on is a Burmese Python. At the end of the shot to the right, you can see the Retic I am talking about. We have both on exhibit. Snakes will fight back when they feel threatened. This can be caused by the urge to defend itself or its food. The snakes in the video never felt that urge. Thanks for watching!

Most stories of snakes that large are myths. The largest verified Retic was 32 feet long. The largest in captivity was a specimen at the Pittsburgh Zoo. She measured just over 28 feet and weighed around 320 pounds. I believe her name was Colossus.
