Met one Indian Army Colonel who had been a young Lieutenant back in 1987 with Gurkha Rifle...this North Indian told me an interesting story about how his platoon of Gurkhas kick LTTE ass during Ops Pawan...some LTTE also got decapitated with Khukri during close quarter combat.
@jerseyy yes one just died third tour of duty I have personally met them when serving in Afghanistan and they are the bravest warriors in the world the Taliban hate coming into contact with them and when talking to them they have such loyalty to the Monarchy and Britain
Hey this video was made by my brother, long time ago(4 or 5 yrs back). He is a graphic expert. When i 1st saw it i was also confused but the last lines clicked me(remembered the lines with the logo). My father wanted him to edit a video bout their campaign (justice for gurkha) He made this extra for them and put it on the dvd too. Thanx guys for all the supports & apriciations.
Gurkhas r truly unique. They are smiling, gentle & merry and they dont look like much w their tiny frames. But when bullets start to fly & yr position is charged on by 1000s of enemies, some kind of switch is flicked on & the Gurkhas turn into fearless, baddest & stubborn sobs who will not yield, surrender nor never give up their position even if men r falling right & left around them. These guys truly do not fear death and r loyal till death. I know coz I went 2 school with Gurkhas.
@clodomiromarcos lol, r u upset about the fact that argintine men couldnt face the gurkhas in the falkland conflict, its a fact argintine soldiers ran off abandoning their posts, dont get upset with the gurkhas, be upset with the men that dishonoured ur armed forces
now the time come to think...from last 200years we are fighting the war which was not our .. still there are 100 of gurkhas fighting in front line of helmand but what we get when we back from there harrasment and bullyig in the street of uk .........these country government is like business man when u are young u will take n thrown away when work is finish .......
amazing how incredibly loyal they are, they owe us brits nothing but when we go over to napal and set up a recruitment centre 1000's join its unbelieveable what makes gurkhas such amazing warriors and willing to fight :D
@LuciusCorneliusMacro He is a soldier of the British Armed Forces. A Gurkha IS a soldier that is in the British Armed Forces. They aren't part of any other Army. They are in the British Army and live to serve the Queen and Great Britain.
Wow....you sure are either really stupid or misinformed. A Gurkha is someone from the Gurkha people (They are called something else in their own language). There are Gurkha soldiers in the British, Indian and Malaysian Army. Singapore hires them as part of their police force and the U.S Navy as guards.
I bet there's a lot of Gurkhas out there wanting to kick you ass for saying that they're not a Gurkha just because they're not part of the British Armed Forces.
@LuciusCorneliusMacro Sorry but im not stupid and you have no right to call me that. Like seriously what are you, the Gurkha police? All I said was my dad is a Gurkha in the british army and im proud of him and now ur like attacking me with ur stupid questions. Okay u know ur stuff about the Gurkhas I don't hope u get a medal. And no Gurkhas wont kick my ass cause they have respect for women. In nepal that's our culture, you dont just kick women's asses okay.
Okay you were stupid, and I got earned the right to call you so when you disrespected an entire people, which (?) you are not part of. You're dad might be Gurkha but since you do not even know what/who a Gurkha is he did obviously not raise you the Gurkha way so do not say "our culture".
No, you did not only say that your dad was in the British Army, you said that there are no Gurkhas other than those in the British Army.
Hitting a dumbass , disrespectful woman is not disrespectful.
@LuciusCorneliusMacro 90-95%of the people serving the British Gurkha Amy presently are not real gurkhas just so u know they are kirats like gurkhas fought for the british kirats fought for the gurkhas after the gurkha empire could not capture kirat lands so we joined into Nepal well had a treaty but later was mysteriously destroyed pun intended :p Its a long history u see.....
@Frostiscrazy wrong about 85% of gurkhas are from Nepal, 10% come from the descendants of gurkhas who have settled in Britain, the other 5% come from hong kong, singapore and tibet.
but as for real gurkhas i think 80% of them are from gurkha district
@UKNationalAirsoft so could u plz tell me why all the gurkha soldiers u have have chinky eyes and have sir name of limbu, rais, tamangs and so no.... they are kirats
Actual gurkhas surname are shah, rana and are bit indian looking simple :P
@Frostiscrazy ohh you fool your thinking about the indian army gurkhas, yes the indians mainly recuit from kirat district, there are quite a few limbu's in the british army but the majority are gurungs (i know ate least 20 gurungs) but your right some of the gurkhas are not true gurkhas,
@UKNationalAirsoft umm dont have a clue what u on about mine dad was in the army so every army friend i have ever seen in regimental party i have seen they have majority of kirats and only 2-3% are the real gurkhas i have been to huge limbuwan garathing full of ppl who served the RGR they all are kirats !!!

its a priceless gift and a very honourable one too.
Ghurkas are perfect for peacekeeping missions..when they show up - no one comes out to fight
like some one commented - the very mention that ghurkas were coming made the Argentine army flee their position

@alikos88 I Agree!!

Imagine this..90,000 people every year trying to be one of the 150 people to join as a Gurka.
