@donkey1450 The Evo has AWD so you can dump the clutch and hook right off the line. You can't do that in a vette because its RWD. If you look at the 0-100 times you'll see that not only does the vette catch up but it actually beats the Evo, even though the Evo had a perfect launch and the vette had to take it easy so as not to boil the tires. That's a base model C6 too.

The vette isn't over-rated. Saying that is like comparing the vette an Evo for top speed. 2 different cars.
