How cool to see your comment, Tyrrmat! I love Poly, although I haven't been back in a while. Where are you now? Hit me up on FB or email or whatever you like! maxhay.com
max buddy, Joe Perdue here from Pocatello, Id, just found and added all your songs to my profile on here..hope the family was well, and your travels are too
Needed to hear this song and just typed in the title and clicked on this vid. But wow, did you deliver me something fenomenal here. Great rendition of a great song! The best I'll probably ever see here.
Hi Sean, Thanks buddy! The video was recorded on some sort of Canon hard disk camera (not mine) and the audio was recorded on a Digidesign digi 002. I played a Seagull S6 guitar with an LR Baggs Dual source pickup. The harp is a Hohner Blues Harp and the microphone is an SM57. Both guitar and vocal/harp channels used the preamps in my little Soundcraft Spirit FX mixer.
I was happy with the result too. Thanks for the compliment.
For f...'s sake - this is awesome!!! Most pogues songs are played as pure covers by...well, inferior artists (compared to the Pogues). This guy does it very well, it´s not trying to be the same - and the voice is very charismatic! After listening to several hundreds of similar-sounding singers, this is something new. It could sound great on sound blues songs!
I didn´t know this was you...anyway, as I said, it´s awesome. In times, where singers are made in gene-factories, probably, such voice is like a fresh air - it reminded me of Tom Waits a little. Where are you from, by the way?
