you ought to dig up the irt and sift it to find good small items---use hardware cloth with 1/2" holes to sift out the items---make a box out of 1x4's and put the mesh wire in bottom and sift dirt with it----I likwe sifting----found some neat stuff that way
What was the story or do you know on that gun. Was it a toy or the real McCoy? Was a cool and neat find! You can imagine how those guys and gals feel overseas digging up WWI and WW2 guns and relics-you just had a taste!
Nugget get you some gloves before you cut your fingers on some broke glass bottle with cap. All it will take is one pass across the hole and you can lay yourself open also we have lots of razor sharp flint here. Get Safe! HH and God Bless!
