Alright, here is a theory, where is the practical application? When will the action take place?

I don't understand why the scientific community does not get the support from the government on environmental issues when the same does happen with other technologically innovative solutions to society; when it comes to especially the information technology. Its spreading, but where is the same response to health, environment and education?
