Well the reality is that Iran, just like North Korea and some other countries, is a "Propaganda State," if you will: Their very existence depends on propagation of hatred towards US, Israel, destabilization of their respective regions, engagement with international terrorism and oppression of their own people. Iran is a textbook definition of a repressive regime that uses all propaganda at its disposal to buy support within Iran and among simple-minded Arabs.
