  • Republicans, and Democrats are pretty much all hypocrites. Its funny how they want to cut everyone elses pay, and benefits but their own, or their staffs.

  • Is there any chance of convincing Sanford to challenge Graham for U.S. Senate in 2014?

  • @Thrashfan21

Everytime I see Graham my gaydar starts going off like a siren.

  • On the national stage Standford was an unknown before his sex scandal and he is an unknown now that it's over. Blaming that fact on "political elites" is making a mountain of a mole hall. Sorry about your hero but no one really cares about him.

  • interns or rich women don't count, it's only if you are truly in love with the person you cheat with that you should be condemned for all eternity. If you pay a ton of money to have unprotected freaky sex with an escort (prostitute) you should be rewarded, forgiven, then praised.

The Repubtards are nothing if not hypocritical, the Spendocrats are just cheese swilling surrender monkeys willing to lick the boot of whomever promises them protection from responsibility.

  • Jack, you are the the smallest violin playing for Mark Sanford. Oh and he fixed the DMV, Please! The Internet fixed the DMV it was inevitable. What elses did he accomplish?

  • The strange way that Sanford chose to handle this scandal makes him a target. However the point is well made. He is making the same errors that the other politicians are, he just doesn't have a political apparatus to cover for him.

  • Sanford has been a great governor and political figure throughout the years. The scandal may prevent him from gaining momentum or credibility if he had chosen to run for president, but there is still some life.

  • Adulterers (male or female, bi, gay, or straight) are selfish people; they do not think about their families they hurt and only think about themselves.

  • !00% correct. While the MSM sent 30 investigators to Alaska looking for dirt on Palin. Obama was saying this country had 57 states. All his faults and corruption ties in Chicago were overlooked or downplayed. We no longer have a free press as wiki leaks is proving. no wonder they hate him so.

  • The world is full of hypocrites. It's ironic how many of them get elected to public office.

  • People are more interested in how well they do their jobs and NOT in their sex lives.

  • @MsWanderer1 Sure lady then you woke up. Unfortunately your point of view is not shared by the majority of this country. The decline of informative publications and the rise of paparazzi mags are a sign of that.

  • @kraksc

I was speaking for the majority of intelligent people; unfortunately the stupid people interested in the sex lives of their politicians also tend to vote with the same wisdom.

  • I always loved Sanford. Glad to see you mentioning him again.

  • What hypocrites, can he govern like a true conservative, YES. His adultery is a private matter. Spitzer was stopped for his work as attorney general of NY against wall st banksters. Look it up and wake up.

  • The real question is perhaps why we as a society tolerate public figures who treat women like chattel.

  • Sanford could be the most unfaithful man ever and I would vote for him over all those other blowhards.

  • Infidelity is a reflection of one's character. If you cannot be faithful and honorable to the most sacred of relationships when temptation comes, how can I trust you to be faithful and honorable to the Constitution when temptation comes? I'd prefer Sanford over any of the "bastards" you mentioned, but luckily, there are others. You can find a constitutional conservative who ALSO has integrity. e.g. Ron Paul. I could never vote for someone who is not faithful to the constitution OR his own wife.

  • Sane fiscal beliefs will garner enemies on both sides of the aisle. I hope Sanford confronts his filandering past, mans up and enters the political arena again.

  • Sanford isn't out there because he isn't a fucking media whore like Spitzer. If he were to hire some slick agent, he would have done the talkshow rounds and then got some sort of plum deal.

  • Buck the concentration of power within the elite...

    fact their wrath

  • What Mark Sanford is contemptible. However, keep in mind that Most other politicians are out to rape us, our, families, our businesses. I would love the opportunity to vote for this less than perfect man.

  • Unusually bad piece of deflection on Jack's part. Sanford is a family values conservative who abandoned his post to go on a sexual escapade in another country, which makes him an unredeemable hypocrite. Liberals don't hold to the same strict code, hence Spitzer can walk away. To say that it's because Sanford is a fiscal conservative is to play at conspiracy theories. Bad form, Jack.

  • @granulorhoek

So is Newt Gingrich. He was probably one of the most aggressively socially conservative politicians out there. I think the only reason he's in the clear is because he isn't involved in the political sphere directly any more.

  • Yes I have excepted the fact there is only Ron Paul... He needs to clone himself and run the whole Government.

  • I put the blame on the false left-right paradigm. Spitzer is a liberal progressive in New York; Sanford is a supposed conservative Republican.

  • I really hope this hasn't tanked Sanford's career. The nation needs more like him if we are to survive the coming depression.

  • Carol Paul needs to be the next first lady.

  • "Why is adulterer Mark Sanford persona non grata and adulterer Eliot Spitzer a television star?"

because hes a liberal. Because to the left the wrongs they commit can be brushed off as yes they are human but to them its the whole picture at what they attempt to do legislatively, you said the kennedys, well the kennedys are poster childs on the left for all things good, help the poor, rights to "immigrants" and "minorities". We on the other hand are viewed as cold and ruthless so we are treated so

  • Nikki Haley had better watch out and keep her skirt clean. The same folks who hated Sanford don't care for her. They've already tried to bring her down with a sex scandel which thankfully was unsucessful, but I doubt if they are finished.

  • The world hates a principled man, and will seek out any flaw in his character to bring him down. Sanford isn't the first decent man to do something incredibly stupid, and he won't be the last. Americans love scum and hate saints, but recognize that they can only actively hate those who aspire to sainthood yet fall short.

Speaking as a Christian, I'd say the difference between Sanford and the others you mentioned is that Sanford has hope, the rest of them damned themselves long ago.

  • I hope Newt Is not a serious possibility for 2012.

  • The difference is the American people are retarded and believe whatever the TV tells them because they can't think for themselves.

  • The difference is that he cheated with a non-American :D

  • So what - he still cheated on his wife.

Ron Paul has stuck by his wife Carol's side since 1957 and even put his Presidential run aside because of Carol's ill health. Ron Paul is a man of undying integrity and principle who has all his priorities straight. Ron Paul is a man fit for the Oval Office, and he's the man I'll be casting my vote for come rain, hail or shine.

Democrats, remember, you can't vote for Ron Paul in the primaries unless you hold your nose and register Republican. Do it!

  • So what if he cheated on his wife (in the political sense), it has no effect on whether or not he is a good elected official or not. I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

  • @tfboyle Are you KIDDING??? You think a man breaking THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT promise of his life, his oath and vows to his wife, has nothing to do with how a man will act while in office?? God help us, no wonder we're in such a mess.

  • @tfboyle It shows a general lack of integrity. But then again so does running for office generally. I would say that breaking a personal vow to someone you are close with is a good indication that you arent going to hold an oath to a large group of people you dont even know in very high regard.

  • The fact that Ron Paul has impeccable credentials when it comes to his personal affairs only underlines how much it’s really all politics in the end. Paul is universally ignored, slandered and/or vilified; and those few conservatives now giving him some shrugging recognition have also shown how they prefer dubious insiders to RP

Maybe it’s time we accepted that it really is about politics & vote first and foremost on the basis a candidate’s politics- not whether he’d qualify to be a preacher.

  • @israelandersonvideo So what? Compared to all the other politicians out there he's a miracle. How many times does it need to be said? Politician's personal lives don't matter. Only their votes do.

  • @israelandersonvideo

As much as I am inclined to agree with you, your argument is a fallacy. Whether or not someone cheats on his/her partner does not have any effect on their politics. None at all. If it turned out that your favorite politician was cheating on his/her partner would you suddenly disagree with him?

  • @israelandersonvideo

In South Carolina, you don't have to register as a Republican or a Democrat to vote in the primaries. Which works great for me, since I vote in the Republican primary and generally vote independently.
