  • AH BILLY, you look like a dick and act like one too.

  • This was very smartly edited...

  • we can all agree on one thing.....that tank at 1:50 got fucked up

  • @Misteraffe... LIES ALL LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song and I have no idea who it is lol.

  • Common, people. This film was awful. The only good things about it was this soundtrack, the performance of Jackie Earle Haley and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Everyone else's acting was horrendous, the rendering of Adrian comical, and the makers just managed to miss the point of the comic by a million miles, thinking it was all about glorifying violence.

  • @InspirationOnline no the viewers were stupid, thinking the movie was about glorifying violence. the movie itself has such intelligent lines, it is a good movie....

  • @dchris1990 The lines were from the comic book, genius. And that's the point: the film didn't add anything good to the comic and just served to highlight what was not at all meant to be essence of the story, that is to say the extreme violence. And calling people stupid for not liking the same thing as you do doesn't make you look any more intelligent, buddy.

  • @InspirationOnline hey genius.. I like the sound of that compliment. thank you. didnt you just call the directors stupid and the actors horrendous for not portraying a comic book as you thought they should have? and now you're calling me out for calling viewers stupid? both of us are being subjective. deal with it

  • Great Film

  • this is a great combo of video and song

  • this version of the song is 20,000,000,000 times better.

  • Perfect editing! One of the best combinations of picture and music I have ever seen. Well, and the movie itself: One of of my all-time favourites, and quite high on the top.

  • In my opinion, I thought the movie was really good. I have it on DVD. The actors were really great, I loved Matthew Goode and Billy Crudup. I thought movie awards should have gave this movie more credit. It was outstanding, some superhero movies hasn't done what Watchmen has did.

  • Awesome!!! I love it!!! this is one of the best Watchmen videos that I have ever seen. I've seen alot that was really good but this is a really good one. Great job! Somebody should make one using Coldplay's "Clocks". Everytime I hear that song, I think about this movie. I made a video with pictures using "Clocks" but I have to upload it.

  • As a movie by itself, I don't see why everyone acted like it was complete shit. I thought it was intriguing and thought provoking. I guess I'm just an ignorant bastard that doesn't appreciate the source.

  • probably the best fan clip ever!!!!

  • This movie is way better than "The Dark Knight"

  • @MisterAffe

That's kinda ironic, since after all this song was made for Batman.. (The movies back then).

  • @MisterAffe hell yeah!

  • @MisterAffe Please, go kill yourself right now.

  • @MisterAffe Joker would be dead after meeting rorschach

  • @MisterAffe And this movie was much worse than the comic (don't misunderstand me, the comic was awesome).

  • @MisterAffe uh no

  • @MisterAffe oooooh... contentious. Are you talking about the extended version of Watchmen?

  • @MisterAffe and it will be better that the avengers...

  • @MisterAffe Nah, they're at the same level.

  • That being said the film was cast perfectly except malin akerman, could found a better ss2 but she was still good, and Jackie earl Haley in my heart is the only man fit 2 play kovacs/ rorshach/ best charecter in the book/ movie

  • I love the book and film

  • @Snortemup Yes, but that being said, the story of Watchmen (it is an excellent story) is better served in the graphic novel. The movie only failed because it couldn't live up to an untoppable source material, so it wasn't necessarily the movie's fault, but if you liked the movie, the graphic novel is even better.

  • Having never read the graphic novel I found Watchmen to be my favorite super hero movie ever yes even over the Dark Knight.

  • Dreaded.

  • Brilliant.

  • I like this version of the song better than the original

  • Love this video, especially the mix of movie and graphic novel images! Good job!

  • As I said, a better analogy would be you kid being drafted into the army. If your child, but you have no say where it goes or what it's gonna be put through. And you solution is to basically sign the enlistment papers yourself, rather than the saner, "I'm not accepting this."

  • Actually, no. DC owns the rights to The Watchmen, who sold a license to Legendary allowing them to make a film adaptation based on a script based on the graphic novel. Alan Moore had absolutly no say in the matter. I'll go one step further, even if he DID get involved in production (which would mean they would have to invite him, which they didn't), he would have no creative contol. Why is you solution to get involved anyways? A better analogy would your kid being drafted into the army.

  • i thought it was a bomb ass movie, but then again i didn't read the graphic novel

  • @MrButtloaf I suggest you do. I mean, there is too much emphasis on it I believe. Purists seem to believe it's the "only right way to enjoy his artistic creation"

"Fight the man" that sort of deal... but I just personally like the book better. I mean, you can tell there was a genuine attempt to stay true and respectful to the medium... But Moore's point from the start was "why does the medium have to be altered in the first place" a valid point coming from it's creator.

  • i personally prefer the ending in the film to that of the graphic novel. i also feel that the existence of life is a highly overrated phenomenon.

  • I've seen the movie and I also read the comics: I loved them both.

About the song...I can't name the feeling, but it's awesome.

  • All the cops and nerds will look up at me and shout "DON'T SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY"... and I'll whisper...

    no.

  • @Olio89 Are you kidding me? It's all the smart, respectable kids blunting it up around here lol

  • @dawalrusable Nerd does not mean smart or respectable. A nerd is someone who is too caught up in structured ways of life to step outside the box and smoke a blunt. Language sucks, we need telepathic imagery sharing to properly express ourselves.

  • @Olio89 The image you are projecting onto my brain screen looks more like a dweeb than a nerd to me.

  • @Olio89

Way to prove you're a stoner, kid.

And I love how your concept of "stepping outside the box" is just to step inside another, even more structured, box; one that has such a typecast assemble and predictable methodology and culture.

Language is wonderful. It's just not for idiots who are too stoned to form words.

  • @Twitch532 Hey thanks for the comment, you actually made me re-consider my current judgements. But I also want you to realize that the level of seriousness shrouding my commentary is very, very low.

  • @Olio89

    Fair enough.

    Good talk.

  • All the whores and politicians will look up and shout.. save us and ill whisper NO

how can you not love this movie!!

  • oh hell yes.

  • "As Seen On: Bank of America Corporation"

    All_of_my_wat.jpeg

  • This should be the New Darth Vader theme song

  • Yeah let´s tolerate cannibalism, pedophiles, etc., let´s tolerate even people like Hitler, they do good to humanity, let the wolrd or some part of it to kill people of the J.F.K., Gandhi, Luther King, type... let the folks fans of Flaubert literature and illuminati and templar knigths rule the world even more, The body of christ might be dead, but the escense is nowhere but here.

  • Great job with this video give u props big time!!!

  • NO!

  • This movie was a parable to many... To those how are watching a waiting, they know what I speak of. If you believe in God than all the mysteries of life are unraveled into a sign; when it comes to this world & the people of it....

  • Rorschach is right, eventually the time will come when we have nowhere to hide from our sins and they will consume us. When the so called"bad guys" finally use their nukes on us everything humanity has accomplished will forgotten in a flash. The world will become a wasteland because we can't fix the problem in the system. We are the problem. Goodbye...

  • @abraman12 we just have to tolerate it then

  • @abraman12 yes,"we are the problem" we are carbon based,a carbon atom has 6 electrons, 6 protons, and 6 neutrons, 666 the number of the beast, we humans are the beast. We are the problem to this world

  • *****Excellent Video*****

  • i actually loved Watchmen. Thought the Directors Cut was a bit better but, still a great movie

  • @MultiPaulinator Batman and Robin, 10 times worse than Forever. Although Forever was pretty rough.

  • Wow..great job! I loved it.

  • The Watchmen bitch slapped Batman Forever then held up a baseball bat. Batman Forever got down on its knees passed this song over yelling, "Please, don't hurt me!" before it ran home, hugged its mother and cried itself to sleep on its dick-shaped pillow.

  • Excellent. REALLY well edited.

  • I remember that someone made a video with this song set to the South Park episodes that feature the Coon and Mysterion. It was incredible!!! The only sad part was, that YouTube took down because of copyright. I haven't seen in so long.

  • Holy sweet jesus that was amazing!!! <3 :DD amazing job!

  • This is absolutely amazing...!

  • Nice editing! Liked the first part.

  • Best song and movie!!!!

  • This book (and film) was wonderful!...made super heroes super human!!!

  • I liked Dr Manhattan.....when he said the things he said and they were explained why he said them I understood him. Overal my fav character from the movie. Along with Rorschach. Movie was sad but I enjoyed it. Oh yeah forgot Comedian lol he kicked ass.

  • The movie wasn't a disaster. Is it what Alan Moore intended? No. Then again, Alan Moore refused to have anything to do with the the film, as he has with other adaptations of his works. This just in, Alan Moore is a prick. He gave up whining rights when he refused to be part of the process. If the end result is a movie with way less bite than the comic book, then so be it. Moore needs less people telling him how great he is and more people reminding him that he's just a comic book writer.

  • @supahz Does he claim to be anything more than a comic book writer?

  • @supahz He simply broke it down for the filmmakers "Watchmen is about the medium, taking it out of the medium defeats it's purpose." Which is true, as good as the film was, people were fucking confused as to what it was supposed to be.

  • @supahz I disagree. Alan Moore is more than just a comic book writer. His books changed the perception comic books as a medium and his stories were more influential than many philosophical works of the last centery. He refused to have anything to do with it because he was disappointed in the previous adaptations of his works and he wrote Watchmen the way it could never be a movie. He did it on purpose, to show the possibilities of comic books as a medium of story telling and limitations of film

  • @supahz

"He gave up whining rights when he refused to be part of the process"

So, because he didn't want someone to alter his own work, he should quit whining? Someone took something of his, without his permission, Something that is widely attributed to him, altered it against his will, and you're telling him to quit whining when he doesn't like it? If someone pulled that stunt on you, you'd call the cops.

And "just a comic book writer"? You're just a prick.

  • @Twitch532 "Someone took something of his without permission." You can't make a movie out of a book or comic without the owner's permission.

"Altered it against his will." He could have been more involved, and possibly stopped this, but he chose not to.

"You'd call the cops." Again, you'd have to have given them permission to do anything with your book or comic. That'd be like calling the police because you don't like the haircut you told your barber to give you.

  • @supahz He was pretty ambivalent about it really. Didn't see a reason for it to be made into a film. He didn't WANT it to fail, just didn't particularly see why it was necessary. I can see his point. I write, not for others, and I don't see what I do as anything amazing, but I think it should be left alone. I created it, it is what it is. Why make it again as something else?

  • @TeamZealand

That being said I do love both the comics and the movie. I also see the point that Moore is an elitist and purist at times, but he's passionate about his art. Is there wrong in wanting his creation left free from others to poke at?

  • @TeamZealand And I would tell him because we like it, what's wrong with that? He should let us have our fun and not make such a big deal about it. He's getting money, the movie adaptation was definitely more accurate than they usually are.

  • @TheReaverOfDarkness He didn't really make that big a deal about it, when asked he said he didn't care. But since he was asked, he gave his opinion that he didn't understand the need for it, pretty passive I think.

  • @supahz

He's not a prick he's a guy that got SCREWED by adaptations like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, so THEN he decided not to be part of any adaptation. But yes he is egotistical but then he's artisticaly v pure and I give him credit for that

  • @supahz I totally agree. This was one of the most accurate comic book/graphic novel adaptations ever. Alan Moore should be so lucky that Zack Snyder thought that his original version needed no improvement and kept it as true to the original as possible. It tops my list of best book to screen adaptations ever.

  • @supahz You've got it backwards. Moore doesn't want his books to be made into movies-period. So why does he give up whining rights when the company that ripped him off (DC comics) not only refuses to give him ownership of the book he wrote but also does PRECISELY what he doesn't want done with it - adapting it to a movie? You ask,"Is it what Alan Moore intended?" as if Moore's complaint is that it isn't the movie he wanted. He wanted NO movie. He's got a legitimate gripe there.

  • Awesome. Fucking Awesome.

  • i loved this song!!!

  • do you see the dislikes? no... me neither

  • I want to walk down the hallway slowly in school, When I hear this song.

  • @SuperReMaker I'd tell counciling about that...

  • @SuperReMaker It's clear that you don't understand the gravity of this track, or the quote from Rorschach...

  • @AbominableHuman pfft.. you pompous fool.

  • @SuperReMaker "my teachers will look up at me and shout GET TO CLASS...and i'll whisper..."no"

lol sorry i had to o.o

  • Video and music matching nicely! Good video!

  • You see, to me this is the most epic kinda music. This and Just Like You Imagined.

  • Great video, man!

  • The graphic novel is 46,091,666,390 Times better then the film.

  • party Rorschach here !

  • Rorschach!

  • I can dance sensually sensually!!!

  • Lyrically and thematically one would almost swear this song was written for this film. Its too bad they were not. This song captures the nihilism, isolation and the all encompassing sense of doom the characters experience.

  • OMG such a wonderful song

  • I can't understand why this movie gets put down a lot. Watch the Ultimate Cut. It's phenomenal. Things are different from the graphic novel, but it's just a different take on certain events. That's fine with me. IMO, this is one of the best superhero films ever made. Period.

  • 3:19 .... nearly shit myself.

    favorite song part.

  • This is the perfect song for 2012.

  • I wear glasses, hit me...sucker.

  • Lame Bale Batman Rorschach voice intro. Shame I can't seem to find this version on youtube.

  • Im listening to this song on December 21..:)

  • "God help us all".

  • I like the juxtaposition between the graphic novel and the movie, :)

  • i hate this video because every time the part when the song says your so strange you have to fucking show dr. manhatten every fucking time it's so fucking lame ...

  • @puphspoet Punctuation does the body good. Idiot.

  • @Supermassively says you , your a four eyed fucking nerd aren't ya ...

  • @puphspoet To quote Parks & Recreation, "Nerd culture is mainstream now. when you use the word 'nerd' in a derogatory manner, you're the zeigest."

"Nerd" isn't an insult anymore, bro - at least not if you're past middle school.

Seriously. Look at your fucking profile picture. Never before have I seen such a stereotypical neck-bearded basement dweller. Drop the "I hit puberty and want to look older" moustache". It just makes you look like someone you'd see at a Dungeons & Dragons convention.

  • @Supermassively are you done ? i am 25 & i don't mind how i look so you wanted to see what i look like is that how lame you are to analyze & interpret me ? fag your just making me famous i live on my own dumbass i make money as a prison guard and know how alone weirdo's like you are , it's pathetic how you put so much effort using big words to make yourself look like an over educated pompous loser LOL and if you retort it just proves my point come on say something geek LOL ...

  • @puphspoet "if you retort it just proves my point come on say something geek"

LOL! Acting out your dungeon master skills here on YouTube? I didn't know that you manipulated the rules of the universe. Well, I'll play too! If you're a fat, basement-dwelling Mexican faggot with a spic moustache, you're a faggot and you're no longer allowed on YouTube!

You've got a seriously undeserved superiority complex, broseph. Making you famous... HAHA! You're a fucking joke.

  • @puphspoet Just curious: After reading my irrefutable, painful truth, how long did you cry into your pillow before you were able to pull yourself together to type that comment?

  • @Supermassively i just got out of prison you untalented bitch LOL ...

  • @puphspoet Oh, so not only are you a fat, unemployed loser who lives in mom's basement, but you're a criminal too. Interesting.

  • @Supermassively i'm not going to even look at your profile you creep & say all this to my face you little queer , you won't because all of you pink people act differ in person then brave alone ...

  • @puphspoet Uh oh, fat armchair eThug wants to fight me in real life. Oh, lawdy lawdy, I'm so skurred!

  • @Supermassively i'm fat ? when this happen ... oh stop cyber bullying me oh i want to die now whatever fuck off now your boring ...

  • Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

  • Omg.. this is just, WOW, I cannot praise it enough. It's AMAZING.

I adore that you've put together the graphic novel and the film, flawless work. Makes me wanna re-read and re-watch both.

    LOVE IT.

  • You did an amazing job, the beat of the music lines up perfect with the video!

  • I've got to say, the editing for this video is masterful. I've done basic editing and seen a lot of things like this but without a doubt, this is one of those few things that not only entertains but captures imagination and makes you think. Well done.

    3.mute this watchmen video

    4.enjoy!

  • mm..song title is actually "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning"

  • 1. pause at 4:58

    2. Take a picture, whether on your phone or a snapshot of the screen.

    3. Set as wallpaper with the caption, "the coolest and most violent 'super-heroes' ever"

  • Great job

  • This makes me so sad, but I can't stop watching it.

  • Epic. Amazing song, and the cut of the video was beautiful. The inclusion of both movie clips and scenes from the graphic novel added to the epicosity of this video.

  • You will enjoy this movie once you read the book all of the people who i lend my Watchmen book didn't enjoy the movie at first but after reading and watching it again they appreciated the movie!

  • Comment removed

  • the comedians death.. how's berny mac doing?

  • Amazing. Just... wow.

  • This video is amazing. You timed the cutscenes PERFECTLY to the drums in the song. Good job.

  • my favorite part was 1:52

  • That was absolutely bad ass.....and yes it is tragic that this song was not used in the movie soundtrack.

  • THE END

    IS NIGH!

  • Must-see movie for all superhero's fans. This is to superheroes what Lord Of The Rings was for magic.

  • @Saborside124 High Fantasy, don't say magic. That makes no sense.

  • @Saborside124 So is that why it is long winded, filled with cliches, and is too big to contain itself? Is that why several other stories in the same genre are better?

  • @batmanownsyourass That's right, because anyone knows that long winded and cliches are NOT a negative point in certain movies - in this not, it is not. It is not the best superhero story ever made, as LOTR is NOT the best magic story ever made. But that doesn't mean Watchmen is not a GREAT movie. I do not care how close it is to the comics(although I heard it is a lot), I care about the movie qualities, because this is beyond an adaptation; it's a movie.

  • @Saborside124 And I care that you took a lackluster comic/book and turned it into a movie.

  • @Saborside124 .....Okay, asshole here to pick a fight. Its a fucking adaption. The comic book came first, so anything after it is an adaption. They're didn't just 'make a movie.' They fucking 'ADAPTED' it from a comic book. Henceforce, it is a fucking ADAPTION.

  • @thehindmost88 When something else is the basis for something, IT IS A FUCKING ADAPTION! So take your trying to make movies epic beyond any other form of story, and you smug superiority and shove it up your ass.

  • @thehindmost88 Alright, if the comic book comes first, The Dark Knight is a shitty movie because is really bad adapted. (:

Go learn about cinema, and than you come talk to me.
