a couple moves into a mansion where one old women was trapped and killed so that her property can be seized and then the same story.

most probably it was the first film in the world to address the disease of personality disorder.

so keep your language problem aside for me this malayalam telugu or tamil version can give me laugh only whereas hindi version was 100000times better.

Oh really? Show me the proof. Ash gets at least 2 film offers a day...doesn't mean she starts accepting all of them! Also, Ash knew Manichitrathazhu was a classic and can never be remade. Even if it is remade in Hindi, it needed to be done with a lot of care and dedication by the director. And the biggest turn off was in the form of Priyadarshan, who was directing it in Hindi. He turned it into a comedy! and such a bad comedy should I mention! Ash made the right choice by turning down the role!!

But I do realize that Tamil and Telugu audience love "overacting" whereas Mallus love "Natural" acting. It is a difference in taste..If you ask me I was dissapointed with Jyothika's performance .Not in par with Shobana. Also this was made in 1993 .. and the telugu one in 2004 . so there will be technical excellence in the tamil/telugu one compared to the original mallu version.

the character of nagavalli was not conceived to scare as she is not a ghost, its the split personality of Ganga.Jyothika over acted, not her fault but i would say Director vasu might have wanted it that way. Shobhana very accurately gauged and restrained the nagavalli shade from not becoming ghostly and conveys the full impact. Jyothika's acting was a buffoonery of the enitre thing, Vidya was highly animated. Soundarya was equally good I think

Bhool Bhulaiyaa has got its own uniqueness !! Its a well made movie too esp for Akshay & Vidya Balan's acting . they both have done a real good job . Even inspite of seeing all the previous versions I did like the hindi version as well . Kudos to Priyadarshan for that. Vidya does very well to match and justify the role Shobana did, Shobana though far too good, even though I dont understand the language, but I cann see the expressions.
