@RetSquid : Tax-protester Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence to break from the British Empire. He encouraged the new nation NOT to pay taxes to the crown.
And 50 years later the States changed the Constitution so you COULD have an unapportioned income tax. The Supreme Court does not have any problem with the current income tax.
He has Warburg ties.he fought aginst them he got jailed for it.He owned Lehman bros they dissolved it..Him and Thomas Jefferson are of the sam ideas.Taxes are slave chains..
Why don't you protest against his tyrannous arrest that ignored the rule of law and set yet more case precedent for arbitrary, unconstitutional government? Why don't the Tea Party protesters form an Irwin Schiff division?
Regardless of how it might help the man, there's nothing like a martyr to empower a movement's dynamism.
I didn't know the latter part, but I'm sure that was just a last ditch attempt to get out of jail-which he could have easily avoided just by ignoring his principles and paying tax from his great wealth.
As for the legality of income tax, that may be so but I have been led to understand that technically, the law wasn't internally inconsistent to the effect of compulsifying it.
The law is written to be compulsory for every individual, every single one, that is why he went to jail, he was looking for some special, hidden code to get out of it but he didn't find one.
I'm not suggesting we fight the rule of law, I'm suggesting that we reform the law or uphold it IF it is valid. I don't buy this debate BS, law is either just or it is not and if you can't tell that the income tax is unjust and moreover, extremely destructive, then perhaps you will conflate principled and informed protest against economic destruction with the crime of murder.
Are you taking the piss? The rule of law is not about tyranny. Schiff said the income tax was not consistent within the whole corpus of legislation. The rule of law is about law which is internally consistent and law before which all men are equal. It does NOT mean that no law may be repealed, it does NOT require a slavish devotion to the men who make the law. The rule of law means law, not statolatry. Again, I don't buy this debate BS, there is no debate, end income tax or F off.
"Are you taking the piss?" What the heck does that even mean???
The income tax law is perfectly consistent with the other laws and itself, Irwin was wrong, that is why he has NEVER won a court case about this. You are right there is no real debate, Title 26 is the law and anyone who thinks otherwise is just a little nuts, like Irwin.
I am upholding the rule of law, you seem to be wishing for something else. It is interesting that you use a term invented by Il Duce.
As for my knowledge of American law, it is true that I am no lawyer, and I suspect neither are you. Nor does this prevent me from judging what is a just law or not; it is not at all difficult to realise that the income tax should be abolished. I do however know that all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform (4 each PERSON!) throughout the United States according to the Constitution
Which term was invented by Mussolini which I used? I think you're blathering on about nonsense.
Your knowlege is mistaken, it has to be geographically uniform, your "4 each person" would be apportioned which is not required for income tax. Everyone in the Legislative, Executive, Judiacial branches and 99.9% of the public believe income tax is the law...and they are right.
I don't care if 99% of the public thinks the income tax is valid. Do you think a law is worthy by virtue of its enactment? No it aint, and the reason the judiciary is nominally independent of the legislature is because courts interpret law and attempt to deal justice whereas dictators are just tyrants. Income tax destroys wealth. End of.
And if the word statolatry was coined by Mussolini he didn't half coin a word that would come to be used derisively of his entire weltanschauung.
I believe the conversation we are having is whether the law is valid, and I for one do not mean that only in the sense of whether or not it is constitutionally compatible. No, I mean that imposing taxation unequally across the citizenry is wrong because it discourages certain business expansions if the expander does not expect to gain enough income to offset the increase in his tax, and it causes richer people to leave a nation crippled by taxes. High tax increases all things' costs.
You are still confusing me, the validity of the law has nothing to do with it's effect of the economy or someone's wallet. You seem to just have a problem with the fine tuning of income tax law but not the law itself.
There is no fine tuning of the income tax. Man does not fine tune his social life by setting varying rates of expropriation. Man develops wealth through developing contractual exchange, not by exacting tribute from conquered territories. There is nothing fine about the arsenal of man's suppression of man, not even for the suppressor. We do not profit from war but from co-operation. Tax is war. It is war on citizens who don't realise the economic destruction it causes.
It is irrelevant whether or not tax is required for civilisation. That may be so (although don't you think real legal systems can develop extraneously from the initiation of force i.e. they can be formed by market selection rather than imposed by those with a monopoly on 'legitimate' force which has throughout history killed more men the more powerful such 'states' became, i.e. b4 the 20th C. states were not so potent) BUT the point remains, tax is destruction and zero-sum game.
What, you mean you don't think they are, or are you just pointing out that my argument stops insofar as I don't know how to explain how taxes are destruction? Unfortunately it's the other way around, I develop my social theories on the basis of my cognition of economic truths. Taxes are a zero sum game. Anything not bases on volitional contract loses that which nearly guarantees the mutual benefit from an exchange. Taxation extracts wealth to give to another. It destroys productivity
No. If I go into a shop and spend my money I do not expect a person to take it from me and spend it for me. Likewise, removing the market in e.g. health care is extremely destructive. The market is not only for incentive, it allows direction through profit signal. Following profit motive leads us to do what is most desired by people we don't even know. Bureaucratic systems of state monopoly, no net profit and no choice, are therefore blind.
So not only am I completely right in saying that it is zero-sum, because it does not allow one party to use his discretion therefore it is by definition, involuntary, it is extremely destructive for all as it grows that sector of the economy called the 'public' sector, which is unproductive because people are not free to choose, because the state gives deference to violent trade unions in order to gain votes and because it prevents the market from making mutually adjusted activity.
@RetSquid I agree, almost. There seems to be continual war anyway...our problem has run away with the people that write law, and print money. Taxes are currently a way of perpetuating and strengthening that problem :( I think the system has itself twisted into a knot from becoming so complex it is no longer manageable...its defunding at the moment is helping solve that problem..its been interesting to watch to say the least..good luck to all.
You are clueless about common decency if you don't support Schiff. He's trying to fight the income tax, do you not think that in a supposed democracy, this is exactly what should be done? Or should the State continue to confiscate vast amounts of America's wealth, in a way that destroys business and even discourages certain people from attaining a higher income i.e. being more productive, because they fear that they might have less income after reaching a higher tax threshold!
By law we must pay taxes. Taxes are necessary to have a government that protects us. However, income tax, by law, is not required. Every spending program we have already has another specific tax to pay for it.
The income tax is wrong, not because it is not a law, but because it is immoral. If stealing is immoral, taxes are immoral. Let's use this argument instead of the "not a law" argument that has been failing for decades.

Why is it Libertards say they want the Consitution enforced, but when it comes to the Defend The Country Commandments put upon the Executive Branch and Foreign Enemies and Domestic clause they run screaming like its "not effective" when Bush has proven it effective and not only that but MANDATED BY THE USC?
No major terrorist attack since 9/11, dozens and dozens here, and manymore abroad averted, and the systems and tyrannies that supported terror mostly destroyed or backed into a corner?
Actually it was not proven effective. You can't just see that something happens after another thing to show effectiveness. You also have to prove a causal relationship.

Schiff is wrong. We have had this problem since the PLO was created in 64 by the KGB, no wait since Castro was put in power in 1959, no wait since Stalin, no wait since 1917 etc. etc.
On January 21st, 2004 Schiff filed a brief in the District Court of Nevada Civil Case CV-S-01-0895-PMP (LRL) claiming "Insanity" in his defense for failing to pay his Federal Income Taxes! He contends he suffers from a mental disease or defect and exhibits symptoms of chronic severe delusional personality disorder!
No he didn't. Fact the gov said he didn't believe what he was saying was true. His friend testified that he did believe it, but that his friend believes he is crazy for believing it.
Fact the Income tax is UnConstitutional it was "passeD" fraudlently, and has been dishonestly and wrongly enforced for the sake of Wilsonian fascism.
thats something a lawyer or legal advisor thinks up as a defense. thats what lawyers do, they dont sit around trying to convince the jury youre a nice guy. they find a way to use the system against itself. the good ones find enough ways to turn the system on itself to avoid a conviction....

Tax Protester Tells Federal Court That He Is Delusional By DAVID CAY JOHNSTON / Published: 2/ 7/04 Irwin Schiff, the nation's best-known promoter of claims that no law requires the payment of income taxes, suffers from delusions including a fantasy that he alone can properly interpret the tax laws, according to papers that he had his lawyers file in Fed. Dist. Ct in Las Vegas. Schiff's attorneys asked that the court consider that he has a mental disorder relating to his beliefs about taxes .
Irwins points are rehashed old arguments that have been debunked countless times. He has lost every appeal hes made and will sit in jail for 13 years, because he broke the law. If you follow Irwin, you are following a snake oil salesman, and i have a bridge here in New York i would like to sell you. Basically, he is taking advantage of uneducated, gullible people who dont want to pay taxes, and are willing to buy his course .
Well perhaps he did break the law but he was making great points about the evils of the income tax. We didn't use to have any income tax before 1913 (except during the war to prevent southern secession. He may have been beaten by the authorities but that doesn't make him wrong and them right (ethically). He is also spot on about our loss of productivity and wealth.
BEDESQUIRE works for the Feds. Taxation is theft, i.e., the government steals. Everyone knows it. They justify it by claiming it is necessary to support government. Why was it NOT necessary until 1913? Can "they" prove gov't is necessary? What law did Irwin break? No one has answered these questions. They don't have to. If you have all the power, you don't answer questions, you ask them. If you follow Irwin you will be morally and legally correct, but suffer imprisonment by Dept. of Injustice.
Well good news guys, Goerge4shit is going to keep his channel going!, he even put schiffs video back up again, I guess he got enough money for his legal fund, and his fake doggy to keep on going, that prick is exactly whats wrong in this world, thanks for putting up this channel.

Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
What rule of law do you think was broken?
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Well according to Irwin Schiff, income tax was not codified as compulsory in US law.
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
He ignores the plain English in Title 26 Section 1 that imposes an income tax on "every individual".
You do know he claimed "mental disease or defect" in court?
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
The law is written to be compulsory for every individual, every single one, that is why he went to jail, he was looking for some special, hidden code to get out of it but he didn't find one.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Don't you wish however that he could win this fight?
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
No, that would mean that anyone can break the law and get away with it. You want murderers to be able to argue that the law really isn't the law?
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
You say you don't want to fight the rule of law then basically say that you DO!?
Income tax is the law, period.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
Your knowlege is mistaken, it has to be geographically uniform, your "4 each person" would be apportioned which is not required for income tax. Everyone in the Legislative, Executive, Judiacial branches and 99.9% of the public believe income tax is the law...and they are right.
"statolatry" was coined by Il Duce, look it up.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
It really does not matter WHAT you think, the income tax law is valid. You may as well be argueing that the moon is made of green cheese.
You last sentence makes no sense.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
You are still confusing me, the validity of the law has nothing to do with it's effect of the economy or someone's wallet. You seem to just have a problem with the fine tuning of income tax law but not the law itself.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
Without taxes there is no Government, without Government there is no law, without law there is anarchy and with anarchy comes continuous warfare.
BTW you don't get to make up your own definitions...tax is not war.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
And I say that taxes are not a "zero sum game" nor destruction. Now what?
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
You have no basis for your claims. You do get things for the taxes paid. There is also transfer of wealth involved, but it is not'zero-sum'.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
" You do get things for the taxes paid"
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
How about you define the terms you use, before you use them because you seem to have some definitions I've never heard used before.
What do you think it would look like without any taxes?

RetSquid 1 year ago
@Nintendomanwill
Your argument seems to be against government , not income tax.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid I agree, almost. There seems to be continual war anyway...our problem has run away with the people that write law, and print money. Taxes are currently a way of perpetuating and strengthening that problem :( I think the system has itself twisted into a knot from becoming so complex it is no longer manageable...its defunding at the moment is helping solve that problem..its been interesting to watch to say the least..good luck to all.

I just read your profile, you aren't even an American, so take a hike, you are clueless about our laws.
RetSquid 1 year ago
@RetSquid
Nintendomanwill 1 year ago
We should switch to a federal sales tax instead of income tax.
Those that save, don't have to pay taxes.(An incentive to save)
Get rid of the burden of confusing tax laws and paying for accountants. (No more need to pay to pay taxes.)

206Nish 2 years ago
By law we must pay taxes. Taxes are necessary to have a government that protects us. However, income tax, by law, is not required. Every spending program we have already has another specific tax to pay for it.

Basically, he is taking advantage of uneducated, gullible people who dont want to pay taxes, and are willing to buy his course .
BEDESQUIRE 2 years ago
Well perhaps he did break the law but he was making great points about the evils of the income tax. We didn't use to have any income tax before 1913 (except during the war to prevent southern secession. He may have been beaten by the authorities but that doesn't make him wrong and them right (ethically). He is also spot on about our loss of productivity and wealth.
eesloan4 2 years ago 3
BEDESQUIRE works for the Feds. Taxation is theft, i.e., the government steals. Everyone knows it. They justify it by claiming it is necessary to support government. Why was it NOT necessary until 1913? Can "they" prove gov't is necessary? What law did Irwin break? No one has answered these questions. They don't have to. If you have all the power, you don't answer questions, you ask them. If you follow Irwin you will be morally and legally correct, but suffer imprisonment by Dept. of Injustice.
